I saw Twitch streaming of Forza Horizon 3 back on Friday night. All I can say is that I am very impressed with how beautiful the game looks and what all you could do. Maybe the best thing is that someone actually cared to give Australia some love by featuring it as well as even some Australian cars. The game looks and plays great. As much as I would want to spend more time with the Forza Motorsport series, I equally would want to spend some time with the Forza Horizon series.

Look on the bright side, you've probably enjoyed the rewards for your efforts. It also took me a while to realize this rather strange design choice.
Well, I was enjoying them more until you told me basically I wasted time.

It is an odd design decision to say the least, to make it so that winning doesn't matter.

Horizon has always been more inclusive than other racing titles, rewarding people even if they're not skilled enough to win through talent alone. I guess it's now getting to the point where it's crossing a line for some people.

If you're looking for a place where performance does matter you've got a few options: Street races, Midnight Battles and Rivals.

I always find myself returning to the Street Races. The rubberbanding is nearly nonexistent in these, and you REALLY have to push your car to the limit to edge out your competitors, all while avoiding the many innocent passerbys. Add in a Groove soundtrack with all classic NFS songs from games like Underground and Most Wanted, and you've got yourself quite the tasteful drink. ;)

I haven't been keeping an eye on Forza Horizon for a while, I think we were due another expansion with the Expansion Pass..Is there any news on this yet and what it will be and when? 👍

No word, but good call: the first expansion arrived three months in, so the second should be coming soon.

I only just updated for the last car pack two or three days ago. FH3 is fun, but it's having a hard time holding my attention with all the other non-racing games I have now (apparently I'm up to two dozen on my PS4  ). When I do want to race, I'd rather play FM6.

Thanks @SlipZtrEm 👍 It is the same with me, although the map is bigger and loads of cars in Horizon, I also find myself heading towards FM6 or GT6 for a blast round the tracks. But when I do log in to FH3 I do enjoy it for the free roaming. It is great to have so many games to choose from. Especially with Gravel and MXGP3 coming soon.

Definitely a few cars that have debuted in this game that I look forward to seeing cross over to the Motorsport games.

I've wanted to drive every single one of them in a Motorsport game. Even the Reliant. I miss the nuance.

Like the Crown Vic? :P
Seriously though, it'd probably make for a killer D class build in FM7. 👍

Ah, D class is my favourite in FM6. There's so much variety on offer, just about anything can be fairly competitive.

Amen to that brother. The sheer diversity of D class is what tops the cake for me. Seeing Land Rover Defenders, Ford Country Squires, and Honda Civics duking it out cleanly is such a sight to watch. 👍

Absolutely.

I imagine that would be great fun to slide around a wet Sebring.

I forgot about the Reliant but yes that would be great in Motorsport... wonder how long that would take to get round the Nordschleife Nurburgring combined track.

The Morgan would be quite interesting as well. I can do without the off-road stuff, but hopefully most of the road-going cars will transfer over.

Reliants at Monza please...

Anyone else feel the need to spend way too much buying cars you'll only drive a couple times? Had to buy all the McLarens and expensive mercedes. And why dear god must the Cobra Coupe be so expensive? I was sad I had to buy the 599XX because I completely forgot about the forzathon.

I think the weekly Forzathon challenges could be a little more generous with credits and XP. For example, the rewards are often something negligible like 50.000 cr. for completing a Forzathon challenge. Some expensive cars almost seem out of reach, as you imply, especially without access to the VIP bonus and when wheelspin luck becomes a consistent scarcity.

I must be loosing my mind. Is the pack already out today or is it coming later? I didn't get the update yet on my Xbox for it:

Why does everybody in Online Adventures love 🤬 Street Races so much? What is possibly so fun about getting taken out of the race because the guy in front of you can't avoid a Transit and spins out, hitting you off the track and causing you to miss a checkpoint? Why is Online Adventures the only way to play online without joining an online lobby and being forced into a boring S2 Goliath Circuit race, and who thought it was a good idea to base them off of XP so that there's practically zero incentive or reward to actually win, and who also thought it was a good idea to hide literally all information about the adventure you're joining such that if you want to test an offroad car you're forced into 20 tarmac only adventures and when you actually want to join a tarmac race you get stuck in last place on a cross-country course?
