On a related note there was something I did with a group of friends back in Forza Motorsport 4: Soapbox Racing.

The basic idea was to park at the top of Fujimi Kaido, release the handbrake and coast all the way down. It was the only racing where an F-Class car could keep up with X-Class

I haven't tried anything like that in this game, but I imagine there would be a good route on Blizzard Mountain somewhere.

Depending on what times you're planning on doing it I'd be interested in taking part @Silver Arrows.

On a side note, unsurprisingly Blizzard Mountain seems much more appealing now that I'm not constantly dealing with snow and cold in real life.

So how long is it going to take them to fix Blizzard Mountain being inaccessible on PC since the expansion was released, or to even communicate what's going on?

Almost a photo finish!

Same as when they are going to fix the game breaking glitch for the Nissan Titan: never.

What's that now? First I've ever heard of this.

Explain, please.

The basic jist is that if you install ANY sort of custom rim on the Nissan Titan Warrior, it exponentially increases the vehicles weight by like, 4 to 6 thousand pounds. So it is very possible that with tire upgrades as well (Which I think also increase weight in the same way) you can have a Titan that weighs 16,000 pounds.

It's more or less used by only people who want to grief, but it makes you unstoppable. And it shows that even with consistent nagging on PG to fix it, they could care less. Yet they're fixing a wrong audio sample for the Valiant Charger.

I... wow. I would hope both are fixed, but if paid content is left inaccessible that's entirely different issue altogether. I dare say that they better fix it.

The most I ever got out of a glitch Titan was a whopping 18,400lbs, and lemme tell you, nothing could stop it. Nothing. Tour Buses? Box Trucks? Gurkhas? Nope. It is definitely a game-breaking glitch.

Some of Forza's 3D models are quite bad, I'll use a car that I know quite well, the Viper.

And compare it with the real car.

(real car)

The entire car is very boxy in Forza, look at the front bumper/lights, and then look at the roof line. The whole car just looks... Boxy. The reason is because they have just used the same model since the original Forza Motorsport, just upped the quality. But not bothered to actually make the model accurate.

Now, it's not just the Viper. I've heard the Silvia S15 has similar issues, as does the Impreza 22B and MkIII Supra, and there are probably more. But to my eyes, the Viper is probably one of the worst, as almost the whole car just looks wrong. But that may just be because I have a worrying obsession with it, so I notice. :P

But it's just a shame that they continue using this old data that clearly isn't accurate. I know it would be a waste of resources for them to remodel these cars, but their retail value is worth over a billion dollars now. Surely they could remodel some of their earlier cars at the expense of delaying the next order of Dan Greenawalt's robot oil.

Go into photo mode--the hood vents are blocked off solid.

Edit:
Here are the FM1-era models that are still kicking around in FH3. To be on this list, the basic shape of the body has to be wrong, or at least significant portions of it.
Had VW made the game, there would be more offenders shown here. In addition, there are more cars like this in FM6 than FH3.

'69 Camaro*
'70 Chevelle
Corvette C2
Corvette C5
'70 Challenger
'99 Viper
Ferrari F355
Mustang II
S2000*
300SL Gullwing
SLR McLaren
R32 Skyline
S15 Silvia
Carrera GT*
Impreza 22B*
'04 Impreza
AE86 Sprinter Trueno

*recently cleaned up, but still bad

One thing to bear in mind is that the only place you'll see the highest quality in-game models is in Forzavista.

Cars in photo mode outside of the Festival Hub are 1 step lower (these are the ones without interior parts rendered such as what's under the bonnet).

The car you are driving is 1 step lower than that (while you're driving it).

Nearby Drivatars are 1 step lower still, and I suspect far away cars are of the lowest quality.

This is referred to as LOD: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Level_of_detail

Anyways, the point I'm making is that the best place to compare car models with their real life equivalents is to view them in Forzavista. Compromises are made everywhere else in order to keep the frame rateup.

A change in detail shouldn't result in a change of shape in the model

Anyone playing on PC with a Fanatec CSW V2. I thought the recent windows and FH3 update was supposed to include support for this wheel. I don't have any ffb in game and changing settings doesn't seem to make any difference. Anyone managing to get it working correctly?

Just a random point

The first showcase now has 3,883,546 entries (from the rivals leaderboard)

Not bad!

Also the Hot Wheels Expansion has 227,000 entries already (from the first b-class race, Epic Stunt Sprint on the rivals leaderboard)

Horizon promo says 512/520 captured, but when I took my last photo it said 512/517 promo cars captured, any ideas?

I'm unable to access this leaderboard, how do you do? (i don't see it on the map, nor in the Rival menu, nor at the end of both by-the-map race and by-the-rival-menu race).
You gain access to Rivals via the pause menu in the Hot Wheels tab. I can't remember if Rivals are locked until you reach a certain point in the campaign however, but times are logged onto the leaderboard regardless.
