Ah, that might explain it. I think there were quite a lot of people in the lobby so it was rather odd that there were only 6 of us racing.

Just a quick question. Do any of you guys have an idea whether there's a way to make a Fanatac CSR wheel work with the XBone by now? As much as I'd like to get one for FM5 and FH2, I'm not going to buy a console I can't use my wheel on :grumpy:

not that has ever been made official. I'm not even sure there would be a way to hack it with MS's historic security on peripherals.

Word on the web is they are working on a CSW V2 that will work on one of the consoles but last time I checked they had not released weather it was the One or the PS4.

I'd never heard of that app and the Top Gear office is in the building where I work. Can't wait to give it a go. Good thing we know the course from Forza.

Just in case anyone doesn't know Forza 5 is free to play for anyone who has Xbox Live Gold membership and an Xbox One this weekend, started on Thursday 12:01 AM PDT and lasts until Sunday 11:59 PM PDT.

I was wondering why there was a notable increase in the amount of people at so low levels when playing online, then I found out about the free weekend.

The game installs from the disc to the console, and it only uses the disc to authenticate the install. The updates and dlcs are possibly less than 10gb.

Hmm...the plot thickens.
IIRC, all games require a full game install. My file save is at about 37 gigs, and that is without any of the paid DLC, but that does include the 3 free tracks. Everything besides the 3 tracks were all installed from disc. There are updates, but I do not think think they are that large.

So, I finally got the chance to sit down and play Forza 5. I was at friend's house who has a Wii U and Xbox One and used the oppertunity to try out one of the great temptations on the Xbox. In all honesty? I think Forza 5 is absolutely fantastic. I put the difficulty on Veteran with ABS off, also changed the transmission to Standard since I would be too rusty having not played Forza 4 in a year and GT6 since December. The first thing I noticed was how the tiny tweaks to the gameplay made it feel so much more responsive and fun to play. I drove a few cars over the 6 hours I had with the game: Celtic ST205, Golf GTi Rabbit and a shot in the BRZ too. My fav of the bunch had to be the Celica, it felt so fantastic with the 4wd and I only with Forza had rally tracks to go a rampage on. The sound was the Forza I remembered, very over-dramatic but helluva beautiful. The visuals were lovely but in all honesty I was a wee bit disappointed, it didnt look totally next gen to me(mostly the enviroments, since the lighting and car models were spot on), it still is the best looking racer on the market as of today however. I finished my session driving the AE86...all I can say about that is what a magnificent game Forza 5 is when it's at it's best. Overall, I loved Forza 5...its shifted the battle between the PS4 v XBOne in terms of which I will purchase eventually heavily in Microsofts favor, what a car and track list! Anyway, since I've not had the privellage of playing before I thought I would post. Advantage Forza right now. ;)

Out of curiosity, what view were you playing in? I've noticed that cockpit view makes the environment noticeably unimpressive. Whenever I switch to hood view, I'm reminded that this is a next gen system.

I was actually playing with chase cam purely because me and my buddy were drinking and he says hood cam makes him feel sick.

So, it could have been that.
