or were you referring to when games that had bugs were unfixable except by recall
because it was printed in the cartridge?

Unfixable? There weren't many (and I've played lot) that weren't sorted out of the box

I've only just today given up my copy of ToCa WTC (PS1) to the local charity shop

There was not a bloody thing wrong with that game, out of the box

It's become much more prevalent that nowadays that the makers will chuck something
out and see how it hits

And depending on how many complain, we'll have a half-hearted attempt at fixing it
before we break for tea this afternoon

So, I'll be buying an XB1 this weekend for my birthday and the first game I am going to get is Forza 5. Is there a GOTY edition or some special edition that includes all the DLC, or would I be better off just buying a used copy for cheap and just buying all the dlc?

Used copy plus season pass seems to be the go.

Keeping a note of it on Notepad on me lap top.

Have a list of every car on the Game.. Stick them all on Text Mechanic, Click Shuffle List, Whatever Car is top.. That's the Car I Drive. The very first Car I had was the Viper GTS, Latest car was the AMC.

Still 250 to go, Ofcourse if anymore Car Packs or DLC Cars get added they will be apart of it to :)

Thanks for the reminder - I forgot to check this month and nearly missed out on my July rewards. :dunce:

Another cool 1,500,000 FM5 credits
Man this reminds me I hope the rewards don't expire in game since I have been redeeming them for the past few months but have no way to go in game and collect them haha.

Are you sure? Messages delete after a certain amount of time, so if you don't download them then they would pretty much expire, no?

I redeemed a reward months before I got my One and it was still there.

yeah I was able to sign in and clear $5mil plus a ton of cars I think there are 15-20 cars for me.

Edit: Yup 19 gift cars in total and I noticed something, all the messages were dated today so I am thinking that even if they were to expire it wouldn't have mattered because my FM5 profile never accessed the server til today. Just happy to see some cash in the account and a few rides in the garage.

Ohh yes, the reward cash is a great touch to the game. Just right for that expensive car you have your eye on

So a few things after having the console and game a few days. Love the graphics and sounds really like the kinect overall (never got one for the 360 even though we wanted it) but the head tracking while a great idea and much better than GT5s IMO is useless to me because I can't stand the audio cutting back and forth. I want to decrease the sensitivity so the audio is usually in the middle but I want to increase the sensitivity so I don't have to move as much. So in the end it stays off.

Also the 03 VW R32 one of my favorite cars with its NA V6 has a blowoff sound and makes it very distracting to drive just because I want to listen to that great engine note but then hear that. Boooooooo and they did a really good job on the base engine sound too.

I couldn't agree more. It becomes disorienting and ultimately it stays off. I also don't understand why they went from subtle head-tracking in FM4 to body-leaning in FM5. It felt very natural in 4, but due to the Kinect V1's inferior camera, it wasn't all that reliable. The V2 should have made this a no-brainer.

So few more hours into the game and I've got my flamesuit on. I love the Driveatars. Maybe because I am coming in 8 months late but they are really awesome they screw up and crash each other (and me) but it's not a static ai system by any means. And that's one of the best parts of GAS and to have it in a GT/Forza type game is amazeballs. I am also in love with the damage model I just nailed someone earlier and don't know what it broke but the car was bouncing all over the place the rest of the race like there was no shock absorber. Love it.

Hey ran into a snag today. I was going to save a Tune I had but a message came up "you have to many files like this" so I had to find a car that I had several tunes on and deleted a couple then my original tune saved fine. Anybody run into this issue??...Is there an EASY way to find all your tunes instead of going to each car and bringing them up to delete a tune??

Apparently you are only allowed 300 tune saves, which i find slightly ridiculous. My way around it is I have multiple cars that are tuned differently but the tunes are not saved. Example, 4 ZR1's each tuned for a different track or class.

And no to your second question, the easiest way found is to go into free play, pick your car and then load tunes where you can browse through them.

2 things that need to be addressed in FM6.

Well thats a bummer...The only thing I see bad about your workaround is trying to remember what ZR1 is for what track...I guees I need to do some spring cleaning..=(

1 tune to rule them all. I hate having tunes for different tracks, I usually just make a tune as good and balanced as I can and I'll use that for any track. Seems to be working because I seem to be the top 1-3 on my friends list :P

I just built and tuned an A-class 93 cobra and just smashed my Road Atlanta record in just a couple of laps. Can't wait to get some more seat time!

That's my approach too and I do ok online 👍

Following on from that...

I've been doing a lot of online racing lately and I've learned two things. Many
people have trouble avoiding collisions even in a straight line. The start at Long
Beach illustrates this very clearly

And sticky tyres, 4wd, adjustable front downforce and transmission will serve
you very well
