Man, I need to vent.
Decided to buy the #6 BMW M1 and race it in S-Class. Threw on some race tires and better brakes and went for some online racing.
That's when things went wrong...
People are terrible. Surprisingly the lobby was 20x better than the other lobbies I've been in. Actually my worst finish of the night was 10th place out of 19 cars. But problems arose during the last few races. How so? Well people were deliberately going a lap down, just to take out the leaders and any other car that drove by. The biggest example came during the final race.
Picture this: COTA West Circuit, you're on the 2nd lap out of 4. You approach the turn just after the chicane, only to be hit by an ACR Viper which is a lap down. You re-enter the track only to find that you lost absolutely no progress, mostly because that same Viper wrecked most of the people that passed you. Luckily you pass him and continue on. You catch up to 4th place at the long, sweeping right turn. You pass 4th place, only to get taken out by (you guessed it) the same Viper from before. You lose 4th and 5th place and begin to make progress back up. You catch 4th place again only to see the Viper come back on the track (yes after the final turn fiasco he went back to wait for more prey). 4th ducks into the pits (good call by that guy), and luckily, the Viper misses you by a few inches. Afterwards he taps 3rd place which causes him to fishtail. 3rd saves it only after you pass him. You finish third, congratulations. But now you check the results. That Viper? 17th place with a best lap of 5:27. Really? Yes, really.
*sighs* Look I'll admit, I'm no where near the best driver. But if you pull stuff like this, you need to break your disc or delete the game from the console.
Venting over. Carry on.

I feel your pain, I'm not quick enough usually to get in front and create a gap and that means I have to deal with all the rammers, but now having people waiting and sitting there just to try and crash others that's new to me. Lately I've just been having epic races in private lobbies mainly with @TokoTurismo @prousonhairy @Populuxe Cowboy @RacerPaul and @willbsn13 (if anyone wants to join you're most welcome!). It's usually just two or three of us racing at the time but they're clean races although racing incidents occur from time to time 
it's a lot more fun than the hoppers, I don't think I'll ever go back and race there unless they're ghost leagues, it's not worth the frustration.

Cool, you might have to carry some ballast though since you are pretty fast
. Actually I don't mind being lapped, I guess we can see how much of a gap there is and then sort it from there. The type of racing I enjoy the most is with stock cars (I'm useless at tuning) and lately with Toko and Prouson we did one make spec races and they were loads of fun. Do you have a preference in class and stuff?Oops sorry! Damn Aussie backwards time... we'll have to sort out the time difference. Possibly start a thread? I'll think of something...

Alright cool! It's very casual, there's no schedule or anything like that. Basically I see whoever is online and send them a text through the smart glass app or just a direct invite through Forza. Sometimes nobody replies, sometimes someone does and off we go. There's no pressure whatsoever.
I've found that using the headset for voting on track and or cars, race length and stuff speeds things up a bit so if you have one then even better.
Maybe we should set up a gtp raffle
but before that maybe you could sell your PS3 or 4 and make a head start, unless you're really going to wait for GTS.
I dont even own anything Next Gen lol. I dont have PS4 but i think at this point XBone looks more promising so i target my purchase on that.Maybe we should set up a gtp raffle

About that. I may search for work for that as i get older and its get far harder to beg mah parents now -__-.
PS: Im not a person type of a beggar though. Its just I had my PS3 + GT5 as my birthday gift when i was 13 years old. Nowadays i had a priority shift and basically gets older, i pushed to get it by myself. Life is struggling XD

I just did a race about a few days ago with the Rocket 69 against some idiotic Drivatars (there were three idiots driving a McLaren P1, Veyron and Ariel Atom in the race) in Lime Rock, you might want to search my GT when looking for a replay in the game and look for "Rocket 69 race".

I'm a lot more conservative when it comes to actual racing, and can actually be pretty timid in fact, especially if I'm racing with respectable people. Either way, however you want to approach it, I'm open to trying it out. I can get into most anything really, but anything after R-class, I become a bit less interestedCool, you might have to carry some ballast though since you are pretty fast
I stick to A, and S right now, but I don't mind spec races either.

I got paired up with a very helpful dude the first week of the MLG 1v1 runs. He's a pretty quick guy, and as I had no idea about S Class heading into things (and the Formula Mazda's banned), he provided me with his Saleen tunes. I've since used it almost exclusively in the hoppers, either a grip or speed tune depending on location, and it's got me a lot of success. At Daytona Short it isn't quite as fast as the leaderboard Esprits, but it's not nearly as much of a pain to drive either. I've been meaning to ask him to swing by here.
Had an awesome time running with him and two of his friends in the hoppers last week. It makes things a lot more tolerable when a group can dominate a room . Also ran into @hardvibes a few times, who has proven consistently fast. GTP represent!

So FM6 is up to 571 cars now, precisely 100 cars less than Forza 4 with all the DLC. So I think FM7 will handily surpass FM4 even with a launch car list on disc, by fall 2017 they should have roughly 700 cars ready. GT6 has 474 premiums for example with a lot of duplicates.
