Part of the issue with AMS2 is that it just isn't PC2 like people want to think it is. They've added a ton of high res textures and tons of particles and 3D trees, 48 car grids and of course a lot of new physics calculations and tweaks. AMS2 will tank a high end PC's FPS in the night with rain. So while the Madness engine does fairly well with consoles from previous titles, it would be interesting to see what they would have to do seeing as they've been pushing the boundaries of what PC's can handle, not to mention VR performance. I wouldn't worry about Reiza being the ones to do it because it would likely be outsourced to do anyways. They just now got back on track to what their roadmap was (supposedly) but with a year out of the equation with the 1.6 physics breakthrough and the IMSA partnership, who knows how far they are from their claim of wanting to bring it to consoles.

My „weaker” than PS5 gaming laptop handles AMS2 better than Pcars2 even in VR. This game is perfectly optimized. PS5 would be good emough.

PC2 had a few more, the BMW 320 TC, AMG45, and Megane TC as well.

RaceRoom is the main one for all manner of Touring Car series, but the chances of a console release has never been publicly hinted at by the dev team. That has:

DTM: 92/95/13/14/15/16/20/21/22/23/24
Group 5
Super Touring
Touring Classics
WTCC/WTCR: 13/14/15/16/17/18/20/21/22
Yes about the 320 and A45(kind of like the Cicely BTCC). Megane is a fantasy like the FF Megane Gr.4 in Gran Turismo. Just saying the Opel is a real TCR.

As for that RaceRoom car list, insane that these sim developers get these cars and console games don’t.

Very true

Down to interest I suspect, the studio behind RRE have worked with those series for a while, before people got bored with the endless round of GT spec cars in games.

This game has confirmed to have crossplay and cross save function. I doubt it will have different package. It will be definately free2play to have parity with pc
Only time will tell, this game does not have anything unique going for it that other games don't, i think they just want the consoles to jump on the game as either is not much choice for current gem sim racers. Still I think they are very shady and looking at the Steam userbase the reviews are not great.

Funny enough, I've had a similar thought. Bringing it to steam has done the opposite of moving the needle and I imagine the stigma of the Middle East money involvement as well as the whole NFT thing hasn't done much for their reputation (which says alot considering LMU, the game that is also in Early Access but with a far bigger playerbase, is still published by MSG...and we all remember how "fondly" they were looked at..) so this console deal feels more like a move in the similar vain to both "Suicide Squid: Kill the Justice League" and "Saints Row" having their games on PS Plus Essential: Desperation to recope something from a title that has done the opposite of moving units and getting players whilst not exactly having a great reputation in the eyes of many (Which is important).

With it at the moment still not offering anything compelling in comparison to full games still getting support (Raceroom) or fellow titles in early access (LMU, AC Evo,) on PC alone, I'm having a hard time seeing how consoles will do anything for them.

And its made worse by the fact they now also have to contend with arguably THE most well known Driving titles on console (one of which features its spinoff now occupying 2 consoles), which in itself is asking alot. They have to do something major because if this is all they have and it hardly did anything in the PC space, they are in for a rough ride on the Console side.
