Round 5 goes up at 11 PM EST. The time converter should be in the OP. If it isn't I'll add it.

Yes, car rating is 1650, and you only allowed to change Steering Lock for your own comfort with this car

Night time should've been a few races ago, but the freeze incident ruined it.

I finally can practice for one of the events I find hard... thanks :P

Hm... is this one of the real times or is it one of those "here's the time but I'm actually 4 seconds faster" times?

I think he does a semi decent lap, rounds it off, & sets it as the target time. Then he competes like the rest of us.

I see the cup half full, like, I can be four seconds slower and still practice to beat that stupid event in career mode.

And what's with you people? Driving such powerful cars around bumpy street roads can get really expensive if you crash... :D

The AI always crash on the back half of the track. Massive pile ups some times.

Must say, I'm very happy that you can turn damage off.

Worst thing is that I know I can get a good lap, the problem is guardrails. :grumpy:

It's fun. You have to admit, not just drive but fight to stay alive :sly: combination of being enough careful not to overstep and crash/spin, and also being "balls" enough to be quick. Combination of being
"brave or nuts"

Or more likely brave and nuts :sly:

Well it should be easier then previous SPA + SLS Amg time to beat. Simply drive, don't crash and that's it.

That's second night race. First was Road America?? Or i just did that lap during night time when everyone else drive during Day.

Road America was at dawn :D

And Pergusa was to be made at night with the works Spyder but was one of those combinations that freeze the game. I'll try that again when I have the money to buy and convert the 918 Spyder.

I never thought I'd get along with this combo after trying the hot lap event. But I still need to take 2s to my time...

Well that's just great, and i drove at night :] well nothing bad happens, still won 👍 And I'm not going back to RA with 918, i had enough :) Now just enjoy Zonda F and that Sound !!!!

Man, loving this combo. This Zonda can go real fast! I think I can push 1:19:000 in this car, if I nail that perfect lap. Hasn't happened yet but I'm going to keep trying.

I'm happy you like this combo. So fat i did not put 6th gear. And i think 1:19.000 is possible 👍 Just need to focus on good line.

1:19.xxx is possible.

How do I know? You figure it out.

NOTE: I'm in "Mark Webber" mode and will be for some time, so...I'm claiming victory. :D

How the hell do you guys do it so easily?

My process is like this with or without tuning:

1. Drive the car around whatever track it is as hard as possible. Yes, that does mean you're going to crash...a lot. How do you think I know London River as well as I do? The only time I ever crash there is when the car is either more responsive than I originally thought, the braking sucks, or it understeers like a boat (the likeliest culprit of the three).

2. If you drive with the racing line on (I do. I absolutely cannot play Shift without the line on) 9 times out of 10 the 'ideal' line is off on almost every account, so you'll learn what line is best for the car and best for your comfort zone. While you're working on 1, 2 comes naturally.

3. Know beforehand how much of a turning radius is required to meet the next corner entry and/or exit. Knowing this will give you the freedom to drive in to said corner as fast as the car will allow; with some cars you'll only have to lift-off, with others you won't have to do anything, and the select few will require soft braking (particularly nose-heavy cars like the Zonda F). But for every disadvantage to entering or exiting a corner there's an advantage. You just need to know how to manipulate it to your driving style.

It's not easy but precision and finding a good line/brake points. Anyway, don't worry you'll be within some tenth of me like usual, don't know on which side though :)

I...I beg to differ. I set my 1:19 right after the round started. :P

Check your Autolog, folks. Look for my name.

Great time, however what are you saying, it was too easy? I think the points listed above mean that you've already spent time on this track before with this/other car(s) . Don't think you can just hop in and set that sorta time without knowing the track well. Congrats on the time though, will be very difficult to beat.

Depends on how you'd define 'easy'. If by easy you mean was it easy to set my first time right off the bat? Yes, yes it was but that's mostly due to the car being so damn skirmish. Was it easy trying to beat the time? No, it was frustrating, again because the F is so damn skirmish but if you can use that over sensitivity to your advantage you'll end up with the time I have now.

Which isn't a 1:19, or even a 1:18. :D

As for the previous experience - no, I actually don't care for the entire location at all.

I've seen 1:17 on my autolog but its not from any of you.

BTW, thanks to this event I did the eliminator with a 1:22, no racing aids, no racing line, hood cam. For me its already a winning even :D

@T-12 - I do the crash part quite easily but thanks for the tip :D. I also use the line to learn the track and master the line objective but, like in GT5, I noticed that its off quite often. But after learning the track I try to play without it (even at night). I turn it off because its too bright and distracting.

@FuriousDemon I hope I end on top... but this doesn't sound good at all :D

@ussr - If I'm a few seconds off the pace just after the event started, its certainly easier for you :P

Hm. A 1:17...is that right?

I gave up after one lap. I can't stand how this car oversteers like it's driving on ice. I can't drive it hard at all without the wall giving me a bear hug.
