Resolution of GT6: Is it still Full HD?

This is the rift I think. I play video games to escape reality not extend reality. Sure I care about beating up on the AI and I do use a wheel, but absolute precision just isn't a priority for me. I've tried many PC sims (rFactor, GT Legends, GTR2, LFS, RBR, as well as a few others; I was even a member of blackhole motorsports!) and I can simply never get into it for just this reason.

Well, not really full HD since GT5 renders 1280 x 1080 native, down from what GT:HD had (1440 x 1080) but I wonder if GT6 has dropped the resolution down to the standard 720p resolution to keep a better and more stable frame rate on the PS3. And there is no mention of what anti aliasing they will be utilising. I hope they dropped quincunx and MSAA and go for MLAA since God of War 3/Ascension is using it and that game is buttery smooth around the edges and really crisp.

Just curious unless it was announced somewhere and I missed it.

For an inhouse job, releasing on an old console, I personally doubt it.

Sure, I agree that this game is pushing the bounds of this archaeological piece we jokingly still call a current console, and the proof is easily found on a 2 player session at high speed ring when one person pits, its shocking.

However, GT5 was 1080(or 1080ish as some have pointed out), to go down to 720p now would be an act of losing face for PD and Sony, I just personally doubt the chances, besides, we wouldn't really benefit from it, the faster processing we 'may' see on occassion would be replaced with a constant worse looking texture, which they appear to be working hard at, so I just don't see it happening.
