Great, I'm in tonight. What gear ratio should we run though? I think it would be good if everyone ran the same. I think the default setup is good.

Everyone PSN Friend Request me over next few hours... going away for the afternoon. See you tonight at Daytona Beach!

I'll try to hop in with you guys later on if there are any spots left.

EDIT: Are we going to run with a pace car/cautions? One thing we noticed last night was that if one car falls out of the draft due to a wreck, their race is pretty much over (just like on Sunday). I can drive the pace car if you guys want, I have one set up.

Would be there but I have alternative plans tonight I'm afraid (yes, apparently there is life outside GT5 - I just didn't know it :scared:)

Very interested in the outcome though, so will look later on for the results.

Just my two cents, but wouldn't it be better to force everyone to run the same setup? I feel as though you'd get a better idea of how the racing would go.

You could then change the setup every 5 laps as an example to see what difference you make.

Like I say, just an idea. Seems like all the testing has happened already though :(

Will we do an actual race as well?
I'm talking of about 40-60 laps. I want to see if the restrictor plates change tire wear. In a draft I can go to lap 30 on one set. I think that less power will let me go longer.

I've started a testing/training room in the open lobby now if anyone is intrested.

Room number: 1472-6399-9009-5385-4057

Due to last minute hitches I can't host it tonight. Can someone else please do it and report findings here?

I can host it, if my connection wants me to that is. I'm on fibre 100/100 connection but still got disconnected from my own room earlier.

Everyone who wants to participate, add me on psn and I'll open a private room.

Just had a race with Crimson. Pretty damn close but it's a shame the drafting in GT5 is what it is... way too strong.

A 16 car grid with everyone having the same gear ratio would be the tits though. 👍

I'll be on at 8 as per the OP mate. My guys will follow me to your room through my profile too. I think :D

Should have enough to get a good test going though. Any setup advice would be welcome too cause I'm a NASCAR noob.

Can you post a few basic guidlines before we get to the lobby?

Ie: bhp, gear ratios, downforce. I assume the suspension doesnt need changing all that much. Again a few basic tweak sugestions would be appreciated though 👍

I have everything on default except for the bhp obviously, which is limited to 515 for me on 620 PP and racing medium tires.

There's an important thing people have forgotten. With GT5's engine system, cars gain around 60hp (at least NASCAR's do) when the engine is worn in. 60hp is a big difference in NASCAR, so restrictors negate that, making it even more even.

He already set his up. Mine I'm running to 525 hp. He's running 600 I think. (Yeah, his is open already)
