Got a foolproof method for testing new mods.

Step 1: Create new folder in Program Files called "rFactor Test"
Step 2: Copy a vanilla rFactor install into the folder
Step 3: Rename executable "rFactor Test" and create a desktop shortcut
Step 4: Install mod into this folder
Step 5: Test mods
Step 6: If all is well, put the mod into whatever rFactor install you wish

That's what I told you to do 5 pages ago.. single mod installs. You are having problems mate because your downloading and installing to many mods to fast This only leads to conflicts and headaches. Slow down :)

Decided to have a go at the Enduseries mod and it is so good! Only concern is the P1 (Haven't tried P2 yet) engines are extremely quiet compared to the GT cars.

The diesel are super quiet in real life, the tyre roar is louder than the engine sound from the outside.

They aren't loud cars.

Alright, thanks. If I can I'll try and upload a qualifying session from the Audi R10, but that's if the recording software will work.

Edit: Just did hot laps in the 4 GT1 cars (Aston DBR9, Lambo R-GT, Vette C6R & Saleen S7R).

Videos will be added to this post when ready

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I'm trying to edit DDS files in GIMP, but they're covered by a grid of light and dark squares that won't let me do anything.

Then again, I've absolutely no experience with GIMP.

You don't want to edit a dds file. You want a .psd file that you can then later turn into a .dds file.

Aston AMR One
Lola Aston
Oreca 03
Maserati mc12
Oooh, MC12 GT1! I love that car on Race 07 and GTR2. Does it come in the VitaPhone livery or do we not know yet? Also, I'm trying to find the right compression and codec for my recording software, I want it to be watch-able but I also want the file size to be under 75MB per minute.

Enduracers know.

Just great, that mod comes out and SCP won't work for my DS3. :irked:

I don't know of any good modern F1 mods. Newest one I have is 2005, but I mostly play the older ones. Although I guess WCP F1 mods might be the better ones?
Only F1 mods I use are F1 1978 and CTDP F1 2006 and I love the blue Renault Elf livery on the 06 car and the Ferrari '78 looks class! I'm gonna see if there is a 1983-87 mod (Any F1 from that period will do me).

There are mods for those years except 86 I think.

1985 Would be the most ideal year. On topic of this I was racing at Oldring with 24 cars and on Lap 1 there was a full caution lap (I was not involved in the crash) and the McLaren in front brakes hard for the hairpin and it breaks off my front right and then 12 of the damn things rams into me, setting my Renault on fire!
