Ahhhh...yes it is! But since I have had to re-install rFactor a few times, I hate starting over to unlock the cars, it takes a while, never got past the Lola :/

Well, thats interesting. I installed the mod and right off the bat I have the Zytek, the Creation & Epsilon Euskadi for P1, the Porsche RS Spyder and Courage C65 for P2, Corvette and Aston Martin for GT1 and the Porsche 911, the Panoz Esperante and Spyker C8 for GT2. Interesting to hear there is a Lola in it (assuming you also have the first package like me).

This Lola is as far as I got each time before I had to re-install. Or am I confused...?

It seems I was mistaken, I was referring to "Série Internationale Du Mans 2.77". Where can I find the Enduracers one? I thought it had not been released?
 
Do any of you guys know of a good paint/skin making tutorial? I am doing alright with the skins but cant seem to be able to get rid of the excessive shininess on the base paint color, I am using PS Elements. Cheers.

Sounds like you are saving the dds incorrectly (try dxt5 instead of dxt1? as dxt1 wont save the alpha layer which in some mods is used to create reflection layer on the car).

Your suggestion did not solve the issue by I changed my settings as you mentioned. I seem to have solved the issue, I dragged the painted layers over to the original template, re-saved/exported and it looks fine now. Thx again.
 
Since putting rFactor on my Expansion Drive, I've gotten back to playing various mods for rFactor. Two of the most recent mods I downloaded was the ETCS 2007 and the Champcar Challenge 00-04 mods. I wanted a good touring car mod and a solid Champ Car or Indy Car mod. I had already used the Champ Car Lola mod before, but I wanted some old-school Champ Car mod. Both of them are great.

I haven't really mentioned the ETCS 2007 mod much, so let me touch on that. The majority of cars are BMWs and Alfa Romeos, but there are also some SEAT cars. The Leon Supercopa cars are fun to race. This right now is tiding me over as far as touring car mods go, because I am considering getting RACE 07 in the future. It's about the best traditional touring car mod out right now.

This next paragraph is just an observation. I upgraded my computer last Saturday by installing a 1 GB RAM module (the first time I've ever performed a RAM upgrade). I supposedly have a 512 MB RAM module already built in, and I could put in a new one. The game runs much smoother and loads things faster with the 1 GB RAM upgrade. Using the same graphics card as well. So you can say that I'm enjoying rFactor now more than I ever have.
 
Right I have solved my mas problem I just have to run that championship not all cars and all tracks that was simple so thats all fixed.

I just have a question. Does anyone know any good 50's-60's f1 car mods that don't need another game to install it. I have all other era's of cars just not of this era.

No problems, sounds like you may have had a missing alpha layer. (which the original file would have still had)
 
Guys how do you online race. I go to join a race on the rfactor menu then when I finally find a race that has a track and mod I have, I join then either I get kicked because of a missmatch or once in about 10 tries I finally get to a practise session not a race. Can anyone give me a good way to do online races.

Also would anyone be interested in using the rfactor dedicated servers to set up some gtplanet.net races if we could all decide a time/mod/track then I would be happy to run it.
 
I would love to race online but yeah, only 3 people :lol:

I usually race online with Megane Trophy because this is the only mod that has a lot of servers...
 
Can anybody help me? My DRM mod's stopped working.

I've tried re downloading and re-installing but it doesn't load the exterior models, there are no cars showing visually in the showroom, I can see the list and select them etc. but I can't see the car itself. When I got to the track I can see that cockpit cam works but when I go to drive it crashes.

Sadly I can't.

I got back into rFactor tonight, and was running the DRMs at Oulton Park. The Beemer suits it very well - I was having a hoot except for when the AI overcooks it a few times.

However, when I try racing it with a pack of random cars from different mods, SOMETIMES my DRM BMW likes to make itself look like its racing at night (everything is dark, with a blueish tinge). Some of the other cars affected are the classic rally cars as well. I think it may be when a car gets added to the grid from a mod that isn't 100% compatible with the DRM/ Classic Rally mod.

Anyone know a reason/fix? I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I can't find anything. :)
 
Sounds like data corruption if you're following the correct copy & replace procedures, or installer if it has one.

Try it from either a different web source or use a different browser to download it. Also might be worth a general clean of your PC, particularly if your downloads folder is big.

Edit: Two of you with problems, I'd suggest either the Mod is buggy or you both downloaded it from a bad source.
 
Well this is the same data I've always had and it's worked fine before. It's just today I decided to play it for the first time after a week or so.

All of my other mods work fine.

Have you installed GSMF's PCC07 mod? I know it (VLN) uses the models from that mod, so I think you may need PCC2007 installed before VLN Cup will work. I have both mods installed (GSMF PCC2007 and VLN) and they both work perfectly :)
 
I got it all working, I eneded up deleting all my rfactor stuff and uninstalling the game, then re-installing. Works fine now :). Thnaks for yourhelps anyway guys.
