Edit: I missed the prototype question. There must be something improperly installed. Did you install v2.2? Try reinstalling v2.2 (de-install 2.1 if you used that one), I have made it a rule not to replace any of the existing files in any of the rFactor folders/sub-folders, every time I do I seem to have issues. Tip: if you like exporting replays, I have learned through others to remove all the music in the music folder of rFactor.

And about the prototype problem. I have checed and it is v2.2 I have done exactly what I have done for all my other working mods. and I'm still having the same problems.
Abit more detail.
When I click on the car in the garage it freezes and comes up with a window saying "error opening MAS file COMUN.MAS" this file in question is a microsoft acxess stored procedure sh........(can't read the rest). This isn't the first time I have had this problem I also have it with fsone 09.


If possible Is there a way you could send me your sportprototype file in your vehicles folder to compare it to mine to see if that works.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble lbsf1

If I create an archive of the "SportPrototype/Vehicles" folder it is still 184Mb. Can you tell me specifically which files you want to compare? I'll be happy to u/l them, not sure what the limit is here at GTPlanet. Let me know.

The limit on gtplanet is 1mb of zip/rar so that probably wouldn't be enough. Is there a way you could upload using megaupload or rapidshare or something or email it to me on lbsf1@hotmail.co.uk.

The full game just arrived in the post (up untill now I have just been using the lite version) I put the disc into my pc it comes up saying do you want to run the setup exe. I select yes. Then it says do you want to allow the setup to make changed to yoiur pc so I click yes. The box goes away and then nothing happens it doesn't install it just sits there.

Edit 2:
Went into the files of the game and managed to get the setup to work from there.

I am not sure if you got my emails lbsf1. The zipped file was over 16Mb, I am limited to 5Mb per email attachment. I am reluctant to open a megauload or similar account to send you the file. Is there no other way to share files we could try?
 
I downloaded the file replaced the one in the game directory however I'm still getting the problems. This isn't the only mod I get this problem for. I also get it for f1rft 2009 aswell and the corvettecr6. Is there a rfactor mod forum anywhere I could go and ask about this. To see if its a common problem.
 
Have you tried making a fresh install and reinstalling the mods on that? You might have screwed up the installation of one.
 
Where's the best place to download Rfactor from? I dl'ed one but it wouldn't work and alot of the places that are shown on rfactor.net are stupidly slow.
 
Go to rFactorcentral, and find a link for rFactor lite. 128mb, one car, one track.

Perfect for mods downloaded.
 
I would really like to get my hands on the FIA GT mod with the Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione, not much information out there. Here is a video of the car.

 
Ya' know what I hate?

Individuals who go through the trouble of making "private" (read: illegal) mods/converted mods from other games (namely Forza 3) and then say in the description "Don't send me a PM asking for the mod because I won't read it." then why the eff are you posting a video about it then? I also love how 9 out of 10 of these geniuses always disable comments on YT. :odd:

I'm really contemplating on being a total ass and reporting them, namely for being stupid and contradictory to the entire concept of what private actually means.
 
I got the WSC1970 mod as I'm a huge fan of that era, got all the 1970 tracks and the '67 Spa aswell. Wow. I don't think I can go back to iracing, this is the best thing I've ever played.

Got the DRM mod aswell but I'm really sturggling to adapt to the 935, the turbo lag is horrendus.

I'm also downloading the Touring Car Legends mod, is it any good? Can't wait to drive the Sierra round the Birmingham Superprix track (my home town) and relive what my dad used to tell me about.

The turbo lag-then-rip-your-head-off-power-surge are hard to get used to (keep the revs up) but when you do it is very rewarding. I prefer the Lancia LC2 to the others :P


The Touring Car Legends mod is pretty nice, try it indeed. Also try the Historic GT & Touring Car mod, the De Tomaso Pantera is a beast and sounds awesome, many cars to try there from that era.
 
Yeah, historic touring cars mod is one of my favourites, V2 of that is coming out soon.

Another good one to try would be Enduracers!

Hate to burst the bubble but it's Birmingham, Alabama. Unless you moved from there to the UK Birmingham in which case yes it is your home track.

We must be talking about two different mods I suppose, I was referring to SportPrototype, link I posted on the previous page, which oddly is nowhere to be found on the main US sites. I am expanding my sites to Europe from now on, they seem to have some rare and fun mods, such as the 2cv street and racing versions.

I don't understand. I live in Birmingham in the West Midlands and that is where the Birmingham Superprix used to be.
 
Sorry I was thinking of Barber Motorsports park, commonly known as Birmingham GP on GTR2.
 
Does anyone have a good MMG 2007 SE setup for Com8's Laguna Seca? I may have claimed I could do a sub-1m02 lap around there (my e-cock is massive), but I can only do low 1m04s. So, uh.. if you have a set, me love you long time :lol:
 
Um, not really. I'm guessing you got your G27 working properly?
If you did, reserve monday nights for an awesome league that we have going at racefactor.

But with the setup, soft suspension to cope with the corkscrew. Have everything at the rear softer, and have low tyre pressures all round. Short gearing, high downforce.

Budapest/Monaco, basically.
 
Yeah, the G27's working well now. With mild (but still noticeable) FFB effects the wheel's tendency to shudder and oscillate has been drastically reduced, and it actually feels nice to use now :lol:
 
Yeah, it does get a little rubbery occasionally, but the smoothness is outstanding.

But the MMG suggestion stands. Find a monaco setup at RFC, then adjust to your driving preference.

Then join up at racefactor and race with us monday night.

Seriously, do it.

But I agree, anyone in Australia or NZ seriously look at Race Factor for an open wheel league. As tom has said they run an F4000 (Formula Holden) mod that is private to that site.
 
So I recently have gotten into this myself. I have abit of a problem so far: I managed to paint my first car and it shows up in the menu:
