my definotion of "ricer" is any wannabe fast civic with a body kit that does nothing but flap in the wind and loud pipes i own a 240sx and no mods its stock and i still smoke the lil civics with there loud pipes and wings its not funny anymore

Why the hell is everyone here against ricers?
I mean, Sure, People CAN go a bit overboard doing mods on their car. As we have seen on several threads
, But is it fair to look down on all ricers and call them 'idiots' or 'try hards' or even 'wankers' some times.
How is it fair that with all of you talk about muscle cars and porche's and cars above 50k, when people with 20k cars are just trying to get their cars to look better (in their view) so they can think they have at least accomplished something?
And Im not talking about crappy cardboard box spoilers and plastic body kits here.
A car is a car. YOU drive what YOU drive. Why should YOU complain that the person next to you in the traffic lights has a spoiler bigger than a plane and a bonnet scoop like a giant ice cream scoop? The spoiler will keep him (or her) on the ground and prevent them from flying up and hitting you and the scoop
will make them slow down, allowing you to get away from them quicker!
In my view, If you own a car and your proud of it, What else matters? If you bought a new skyline, put some subs in it, a new spoiler, exhaust system and a bodykit and then went down the street driving happily, Isnt that all that matters?
A happy driver is a safe driver. As long as your happy with your car, why should other people put you down?

Now I promised myself I´d stop paying attention to these threads but:
- if you´re all talking gt2: muscle cars (chargers, superbirds etc.) get eaten by almost every thing with 4 wheels. Argue ahead, talk about settings, blindly point out stock 60-90hp cars and say your chalenger will make then eat the dust or even compare to real life (go figure).
I like gt2´s muscle cars (and muscle cars for that matter) I have all of then in my garage, they´re fun to drive but it´s the undeniable truth.
But since some people use the term "domestics" I guess we have to be talking about south city. I still think US cars would be more accurate but you call it whatever you want. Good competition to be found in south city vs the others. A MODDED small Japanese car will eat some oponents, can be eaten by other US models but then again it only takes a more powerfull Japanese vehicle to do the same.
-if you´re talking about real life cars: (containing hard) WHAT is this doing here?? I belive you must be talking real life cause there ain´t rice or whatever you call it in gt2 - according to some definitions the closest thing you can get is doing the race mod without all the other upgrades and even that will give your car some go as it is supposed to be a PROFESSIONAL tune-up. Is this your rice cause then you can buy almost any car in any dealer and rice him up. And why this US fixation. If muscle cars are about "go" then a cerbera would be a pretty good one. What´s that? And I should complain. Ricers waste sooooo much money on looks over performance. You'd see an RX-7 wit veilside kits on that looks AMAZING, but look under the hood. Stock engine. Crap, stupid, could've at least put half the money into the running gear. Quarter mile times? don't get me started.

You take Chevelle SS and an S200 round ALguna Sca and see who wins, the S200 would beat the SS in a straight line anyway and the SS is way more powerfull. I'm not anti-muscle cars but the S2000 is better than any muscle car you care to mention.

The truth is a few of these oldies would thrash anything around. Think GT40, original corvette 427, Ferrari 250...but it does not meant the new generation is bad. I would like to see how the oldies behave in dodgy corners...

hey hey everybody especially all my homies in the import community that aren't ricers (and you know if you are a ricer or not), does anyone else notice how ignorant and stupid the domestic boys sound when they import bash??? Now I myself don't bash any crowd... well sometimes I bash on the guys trying to make their cars like they were destined for The Fast and the Furious but I don't hate on muscle cars and I like imports so obviously I don't bash on those, soooo all you muscle car muscle heads that feel like your god sitting behind your goddamn computer monitor thinking you're hard should shut up because you don't know you're elbow from your ass hole. If you really knew what you were talking about you would show some respect because obviously the only import you've driven is that one from mexico w/ a dodge tag on it and the only imports you've raced are single cam hondas and Slowrolla's that don't even represent what fast imports are. If you're in LA hit me up and my kru and I will hand you your ass on a silver platter in our "rice rocket" hondas. You guys need to be taught some damn manners. All i ever hear are muscle car guys talking **** on Honda's and other imports and it makes me sick. Talk, talk, talk, why don't you shut up and drive huh? There is a difference between Rice Rockets and Fast Imports. Rice Rocket being just looks and sound, and Fast Imports being all go. I appreciate fast imports like Subaru 22B, just as much as I appreciate a Camaro. So maybe next time, you should save your breath.

the subarus legacy's are made in the u.s.a in LAFAYETTE GA only the engines are from japan, and assembled in the chassis in the usa plant. then shipped off via train to your local subaru main lots then trucked by rolling parking lot to your dealer.!

i used to work for a subaru dealer so i know this for a fact. says right on the main stickers where the car is made and the engines are made and assembled.
in other words it dont matter where the cars made its a FRIGGIN game! have fun, not every ones gonna like the car u drive nor vice versa,
