And my copy coming from the UK still hasn't dispatched. Though Amazon is still adamant that it will arrive some time between the 1st and 9th of April. Which is still earlier than any of the hard copy release dates in NZ (which is set for the 10th)... And cheaper.
I'm thoroughly confused now (doesn't take much )
When is the Xbox One release date nowadays?
Oddly, my local GAME had the cases for Ride out but with a huge COMING SOON sticker placed right in the center of it. When I went to purchase it they said they didn't have permission yet.
I played the demo and loved the physics, never been a huge motorbike fan but love the idea of leaning into the corners to hit the apex. Very unique compared to regular car racing games.
So after about an hours play, I can confirm this game is excellent fun. It's actually quite deep and there is a lot to do and look at. The whole game does scream FM5, no doubt that's where inspiration has come from. The voiceovers, menus, tour structure, events etc are lifted straight from FM4/5 it feels. Which is a good thing.
Tour wise you can look forward to straight up races, time attacks, track day head to heads and a nice take on drag racing. The tracks get jumbled up nicely so the spread between them is good and repetition won't be a factor. Your scored on a rep on a world leaderboard with 300 other riders, unlocking elite events at certain milestones. You can also acquire team mates and friends.
Graphically it seems to be an improvement on the demo, frame rate is more steady and haven't noticed many drops, the mirrors, whilst not perfect are better in the sense you can only see the sky rather than hideous textures, the tracks are nice and some of them are surprisingly beautiful and the bikes are of course stunning. It's more customisable that I thought, you can even fine tune your riding style using various parameters for head, shoulders, elbows, knees, torso and seat positioning to really nail your own style.
Overall, so far, very enjoyable and very deep.
They surely have to be 🤬 kidding with us at this point. I'll have to check my local Gamestop on the way home.

How is the AI holding up compared to the demo?
In this review: http://www.psu.com/review/26340/RIDE-PS4-Review/?page=2 , they complain that the AI is way too easy. But that doesn't reflect what I was seeing in the demo.
Still waiting for mister postman...
Hi MildAshers what's the physics like mate ?.I can pick this up from Tesco direct for £31, so may pick up if good. Also are you using a PS3 or PS4.I still have an old 80gb Fat PS3, and still works touch wood.
Asked the clerk at Gamestop and was told that the release of the game was the 2nd April. They probably didn't get the memo about the 10th April yet. The release of RIDE has sure been one massive f------ disappointment. They surely have to be 🤬 kidding with us at this point. I'll have to check my local Gamestop on the way home.
Good stuff, thanks for the insight. The tracks get jumbled up nicely so the spread between them is good and repetition won't be a factor.

I respect them for doing that. However, I don't understand why the PS4 release has to be dragged down with it at the very last minute. Could it be due to Microsoft's parity clause? Or does that only apply to indie titles?I'd rather wait than have a much inferior product, personally. Kudos to them for doing so and not being satisfied with where it is.
So immediately I'm stuck on the third round of the first naked sub 700cc drag race.
I thrash the first two bikes, but I'm 1.2 seconds behind the third one, with full upgrades and perfect gear shifts.....
Hmmm......
Any ideas?
👍

Indeed. People have the game, including me, so it's not that Milestone screwed up in getting the game ready. This is purely a publishing or distribution problem it seems.I expect the week delay that affected PS4 and PC was distribution related.
It wouldn't surprise me at all and it's more than likely the case. Just found it weird to announce another delay of the game the day it's supposed to release while also revising the XBOX versions release date from mid-April to the 10th. Oh well.I expect the week delay that affected PS4 and PC was distribution related.

Still no North American date though, which unfortunately is a reoccuring theme. Other Milestone games that also suffered from a late NA release were WRC3, WRC4, MXGP and MotoGP 13 - the latter being almost a year late even.
