I opened a room in the club lobby for the Veyron if anybody wants to join and practice.

The room name is Veyron SSR7 Practice. Lets Drive!!!

Hey @danbojte, Just did it and I set it up just like the settings and I don't think we are going to make 2 laps.

With the Tire and fuel on very fast,I ran out of gas before I could finish the 2nd lap. I figured I'd let you know.

just checking that 1:01 time and wondering am I so lousy driver on Silverstone National at that is just dream online for me.

Like others have said your time is fine. I've taken the Civic out for a few laps offline and was running high 1:00's, which will likely translate to mid or even high 1:01 online with the fuel weight.

I'm off to build the Vee Dubya and see how it fairs.

Edit: Spent some time with the VW and averaging 3-4 tenths slower than the Civic, can't get it any better than low 1:01 (offline).

All that time is solely being lost coming around and exiting the final turn, until then everything is neck and neck for me. LSD (20/20/5) would need adjusting for me to get the exit I need there but I'm assuming we are all abiding to the same setup posted a couple of pages back. I haven't tried the longer transmission option yet which could make a difference to how it pulls out of the turn.

Gas guzzler , @danbojte , we may need to run just 1 lap sprint ( no pit there ) or use normal tire wear rate :P It will be awesome in the tunnels with all Veyrons in draft battle.

Would lowering the LSD initial helps in the final turn ? and did you use the loose setup ( with higher rear toe out ) ? I think @danbojte would want all drivers uses the same setup in the race, or does he allow some variation within the options in the setup ?

Both cars will be used by all drivers.

I'm on 1:02 mid with VW online, will see how it goes on Saturday. Civic was bit faster.
Remember to check car regulations from event post, all on same, only variation on actual tune is free to choose between those two choices on VW final gears. Free brakes, as you wish. Rims free of selection on same size. Paints all freely. Mandatory racing number with gran Turismo logo.

@Ridox2JZGTE loose setup is fine, probably makes harder on cold tires on few corners..

Oh, I know...I'm not a big fan of FF cars and since I only drive them when I must, it is going to be interesting how well I manage my tires in this event. I'm definitely looking forward to it! :D
I had a similar feeling about the FFs, at the beginnings of GT. The more I drove them, and I had the chance for that, the more I liked them. ;) 👍

Oops! I'm sorry guys and thank you. My fault. :embarrassed: :) I'll do some tests tonight and will choose the best option. 👍

Like you said, we will stick to the setup posted on the event description. I chose the longer version of the Final Gear but don't tell anyone. :D Anyway, I'm not concerned about you.:P I'm sorry to inform everybody about that the Gold is already taken, so the rest of us, humans, will fight for the remaining metals let for us. 👍

Thank you for the help and highlighting the things which are important. 👍

To all:
The show and enjoyment is what really counts. ;)

Yes, enjoyment is key, race and positioning after it doesn't matter if you had fun and good fight even once for position, or your pit strategy gains positions.
There are so many things what makes races fun and enjoyable.

I'm always surprised on my final position on race, if I'm starting from back row (where I probably will go, own choice or not) I will have triple fun for race, trying to rise up from there, but keeping my first line principle strongly on mind: gain position after position only by clean and honorable driving, respecting all drivers on field, even I was able to drive faster than some on my front, he's still ahead of me, and he has all rights to be there, I just have to find good, clear open door, even this means at leader of race will keep pushing gap on front and my road is trafficked and I'm losing my changes to catch him.

But that's race, having more fun to trying find clean spot for overtake than leading race and doing hot laps. This reminds me race on Nordschleife, finding clean spot with open door against @danbojte was best part of whole race, had to keep pressure on Dan at he would do some mistake what I could use, it toke several kilometers to find that place, and when it comes and I could use it was the best thing on race. Clean earned overtake.

I'm here for fight, leading is not fighting against other drivers, it's more like fighting against your self, avoiding mistakes. I prefer to fight in pack and avoid all mistakes there and trying to climb up from there.

Do you read my mind, do you? :mischievous: :sly: 👍

Lol, I have always been the guy after podium, and some lucky podiums, because winning is not the thing for me, in here I was more than happy to see when all drivers are respecting others and aren't driving like Grosjean I actually have some changes to stand on podium, equal car under everyone, acting more realistic than those online glitch cars my driven real-life kilometers started to count, I could do lap after lap in good pace and handling of car is predictable, killing tires or draining tank really counts.. ME LIKE!

P.S. Hopefully everyone will respect track area and not shortening or widening track, if doing so remembering to lift gas for while after that.

Everybody must comply to GTP OLR Rules & Guidelines to which I always make links for every Event. It's easy to read and understand for having a beautiful racing session.

Yea!!! Going though that tunnel was Awesome in The Veyron especially in cockpit view, it's like a strobe light disco in there.

Tried the VW online in club practice lobby, 1:02.509 in lap 3 :) Could see it goes faster as the fuel depleted, the trick is to find the optimal pit strategy. 25% fuel goes for about 6 laps / 6 minutes 12-18s. Tire every 10-12 laps and refuel on lap 23/24 with 25% fuel, race should finish in 28/29 laps. Conserving front tires is paramount, getting fastest lap could be costly and don't mean much compared to smooth consistent laps :P Aim for at least 33s flat last sector ( long straight ), 32s is flying.

I better get my a$$ out onto the track and practice some time today... I think I just discovered Ridox's evil genius plan. Release awesome new cars mid week, then we all get caught up in driving those instead of practicing with the event cars! Then Ridox runs laps around us on Saturday morning... :sly: :D Actually, I think his real plan is just this: Enter lobby on Saturday. Beat everybody. Exit lobby. :D

For Veyron, my lap was 4:33s with no drafting, should be closer to 4:27 or less in the race with draft and better lap ( I was hooning around, some drift and wall banging ) The Veyron can drift and it won't hurt tire much, recommended on the 1st hairpin, the next right corner exiting to main highway and maybe the U turn after the 1st tunnel. Yank the handbrake and hold gas like a rally car.

There was no plan ;) With many drivers in the race, I may not join in, as I likely to lag :(

Hey! Hey! :mischievous: What are you doing, eh? 👍 Just joking, thanks for the tips. :P

Oh man...I can't apply the parking brake and steer and apply throttle all at the same time! What do you think I am, some kind of race car driver?! No...seriously. I can't even drift. At least, not intentionally. That's why I don't enter the drift events.

You can use the brake to induce entry oversteer 5/9 BB helps, throw the steering into the corner while pumping the brakes, then gas for some sideways action.

Hmmm...I just setup a Practice room in the lobby of our Ridox Replica Garage Fan Club. I ran out of fuel before even getting to the last turn around point on lap #2. WTF? Are there pits on this track?

Tire wear is degraded to fast and not very fast due to no pit lanes.
