I think I saw on the 2nd race everyone had SH at the start, @OdeFinn did 2:22.8xx on 2nd lap ( best lap on SH )
 2:22.8xx!? Nice one @OdeFinn  That was about all I could get out of the SM tyres :( Very good driver 👍 Hopefully you and @danbojte can have some good battles and the rest of us can try and stay close enough to pick up the pieces in the event of any mishaps :sly:

I preferred the feel of the car more on the SH compound, felt like the balance was a little better for me. SM just made me want to push a bit harder and led to more mistakes :embarrassed: Shame we didn't have to do 2 stops and use CS too, that would have been fun :D

Did anyone had weird under braking instability when on practice run or race ? I had 2 smooth lap when 1st got on the track and did 2:22.5xxx with stable car but after that, the NSX drove pretty weird, sudden oversteer and useless brake with the rear tail out

Sometimes when people goes in or out pit it breaks stability for second, but not any longer for me.
Car was good and stable, even when making errors recovering was possible. Thanks for good car!

I know about that, the rear end would all of a sudden tail out and I wasn't pressing on the gas hard either :odd:

Thanks should be on me :)

Did you notice if that was when the rear tire wear went from 10 to 9, I found that everytime the numbers would change the car had to be handled differently, it wasn`t a gradual process more of a stairway line.

I did a 2:20.0XX in the second race, on SM

I was lucky enough to start and hold 1st position for most of the race, but as soon the tires were below 7, it was impossible for me to keep her booty in place.

this race was way difficult for me than the Nurburgring or at Sierra

The amount of concentration, to keep an eye on the tires, to be very careful with the steering and throttle, to don't over do it, it's very easy to go sideways when on SM, but treating her smoothly, to keep her tidy, she can treat you right.

For me the less grippy the tire is the better it is.

Speaking of staying longer, I wonder how much longer @Brewguy44 will stay in bed , ah wait ... this should wake him up.

I felt a disturbance in The Beer Force!! That's what woke me up. :D

That was quite fast , the best I did was 1:22.xxx, but I still managed to finish 2nd at 0.819 from @danbojte 👍, mainly due some favorable circunstances .

I am so 🤬 mad... I spent two hours practicing last night. I was feeling good about running with all of you this morning (as long as I didnt push too hard and spin out)...

I couldn't sleep, so I was just watching some documentaries on Netflix. Around 5am this screaming noise started coming from my laptop. Before I could even react and press the power button to quickly turn the laptop off, I heard a pop and the laptop went dead. :grumpy: :banghead: I knew my laptop was on it's way out, but I had no idea it was going to commit suicide this soon. I just hope my SSD is okay.

I laid down on the couch, set my alarm for 7:15am and fell asleep. I woke up when my alarm went off but I had a pounding headache. I've suffered from really bad migraines and lots of other problems since my liver transplant. :( I knew I would never be able to race right away, so I reset my alarm for 8:15am, popped some headache medicine and closed my eyes. I woke up at 11:45am. Yes, I changed the time of my alarm, but I never had it set to "On". :banghead:

I am so upset... dead laptop... missed the races I practiced for... what a crappy day. :irked: :ouch: :yuck: :grumpy:

Sorry you missed the races @ALB123 we missed you out there. That's really bad luck with your laptop too :( I had visions of you slumped fast asleep in your rig after practising all night

I have fallen asleep in my recliner - my sleep problems are so bad...sometimes I will go 2+ days without sleeping and then when I finally do get really tired, I just fall right asleep. There have been times when I've fallen asleep with my steering wheel in my hands.

I've done the same thing with my controller  Once in the middle of a Tsukuba endurance race in GT5, damn those Miata's are just soooo slow :sly:

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to leave the club for the moment... :(

I have too much going on right now and can't make any of the events.
Sorry to hear that. :grumpy:

The making of the events is not a must for being a member of the Club. You can still remain a member and you'll make the events when it is possible.

Anyway, only you can decide what to do. We're glad to have you.

Suzuka Circuit 2014.jpg

The grid. 1-Danbojte 2-OdeFinn 3-Thorin Cain 4-TurnLeft

And they're off. Good starts all round but OdeFinn veers left and takes up the rear going into turn 1. Danbojte leads from Thorin Cain, just ahead of TurnLeft. Some close racing through the esses between Thorin Cain and TurnLeft comes to an end as Thorin loses the rear momentarily and TurnLeft goes for the inside. Thorin catches the car and the pendulum effect catches TurnLeft off guard, putting him off on the inside of the final S-bend. OdeFinn moves up to 3rd as a result.
Suzuka Circuit 2014_1.jpg

At the hairpin it's Danbojte, Thorin, OdeFinn then TurnLeft.
Suzuka Circuit 2014_6.jpg

Lap 2 - OdeFinn goes a bit wide in turn 1 and catches the astro-turf whilest following Thorin closely. TurnLeft is there to capitalise.
Suzuka Circuit 2014_7.jpg

And then again when Thorin catches the curb on exit to Degner and shoots inside turn 9 and off the far side of the track. Now Danbojte from TurnLeft, Thorin then OdeFinn.
OdeFinn catches and Passes Thorin on the back straight, after getting the better drive out of Spoon Curve. Thorin Pits at the end of lap 5 in an attempt to undercut OdeFinn at the pitstops.
Suzuka Circuit 2014_8.jpg

The undercut works 1 lap later gets TurnLeft too. Now Danbojte from Thorin, TurnLeft then OdeFinn. Danbojte pits at the end of the lap and Thorin passes him as he exits the pit....
Suzuka Circuit 2014_10.jpg

But Thorin misjudges entry to turn 1 and runs very wide. Danbojte looks over and shakes his head "Huh, Rookies :P Thanks"
Suzuka Circuit 2014_9.jpg

Later that lap OdeFinn watches as TurnLeft slides out in Spoon. Then stalks Thorin who does the same in 130R and Yields to the fast approaching OdeFinn on return to the track. Now DanBojte from OdeFinn, Thorin then TurnLeft. Thorin pits at end of lap and TurnLeft goes through to 3rd. Danbojte pits next lap to be passed by OdeFinn and TurnLeft.
DanBojte closes in on TurnLeft after the final stop and OdeFinn (who missed the pit due to a bug)Spins off at Spoon on the final lap and runs out of fuel.
Suzuka Circuit 2014_11.jpg

Danbojte goes from 3rd to 1st as he passes TurnLeft and the stricken Odefinn on the back straight. Makes it through the Casino Triangle safely.....
Suzuka Circuit 2014_12.jpg

And takes the chequered Flag.

Race Results

Winner - @danbojte
2nd - @TurnLeft
3rd - @Thorin Cain (Crossed the line last)
4th - @OdeFinn (Crossed the line 3rd)

Fastest Lap - 2:21.023 - OdeFinn

The race stewards after the race penalised all racers with the exception of Thorin Cain with a time penalty for failing to use both sets of tyres during the race. (At least that's what my replay shows :odd:)

I'll do race 2 and 3, over the next day or two. Bedtime for us poor nightshift workers

Very cool race report @Thorin Cain, I had short session online, tested all the cars for Bathurst, 2:32s on normal pace ( CS ). Also tested my lovely Mitsubishi GTO MR, can compete with 370HP. I can't post the R34 and RALLIART yet, will do ASAP. I had to help whoosiergirl clear her name on NASCAR Daytona thread in tuning forum, so not much time left. :D

Thinking of allowing only one time use of each car, so it will be more fun ? The cars will be R32, R33, R34, RALLIART Evo X, Sti R205 and Mitsubishi GTO MR.
