RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

lol, RKM's gotta do the Street Legal tunes too, I badly want to have the Street Legal version of the R34 Black Edition

But is the close ratio tranny vital or is it optional? Because I've been thinking that the stock tranny would do better in some cases...

It was on Lampuh's car but I guess it's optional. I find it better though because the NA1 is only a 5-speed so it needs some closer ratios to draw the best out of it.

In your garage?

Lol wasn't what I meant :D anyways, I forgot, what's suppose to go to you next? And I has a complaint about mah vette. Brakes aren't strong enough, 2nd is still too short and needs shorter gears overall

Ffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu!!! I could have sworn I had a ZZ2. Now I'm sad. :grumpy: That tune will have to wait i guess..

I'm guessing you're going to have some fun with that shiny ZZII you now have. 👍

I'll do a mini review of the STi Wagon and the SLS when I have time.

SLS: Tuned and driven
STi: Tuned but not yet delivered to GTP_

Not sure. You're supposed to keep track. ;)

Up the brake balance by +1/+1 until it feels better. As for the gearbox, I guess be more gentle with the throttle in 2nd? I set the gearbox up so you can draft at Indy without hitting the rev limiter so that might be why it feels too long. Aside from doing the tranny trick (which I refuse to release any cars with) I'm not sure if you can have a shorter 3-6 but a longer 2nd.

Damn you :D

And as for being gentle with 2nd? When I'm in a racing situation (You don't race online so you won't get it :P), the last thing in the world I want is to knock it down into 2nd for a slow corner just to remember, as the back overtakes the front, I was suppose to not gun it. Anyways, I have troubles controlling my fingers with a DS3. And why won't you release it with that trick? Prejudice? Pride? But you indirectly did though, remember my CT230R? :D

That said, I did get the 'vette up to 248mph on La Sarthe. Just to remember the chicanes existed and that the brakes aren't that strong

So the only things stopping you are the gravel pits in both chicanes?

That's your own fault for using a C5R then! And if you told me you'd use it online, I might've tuned it in an online lobby instead of in GT Life. :P

First because I dont want to seem like someone who relies on tricks to tune and second because it' confusing to people who aren't in the know. CT230R was by RJ, not me. ;)

Oi! -.- and yea right, you wouldn't tune online even if I pointed a gun at your head :P

And nope, who did the gearbox for the HKS? Oh right, it was you :D

If you don't wanna use the settings, the default gearbox is just bloody insane so use that instead. Low top speed, bullet acceleration, epic sound.

Although I reckon acceleration is kept good with the settings anyway? I have a CT230R but haven't given it the settings here yet.

Says who? I've done a request online before because the requester specifically asked for it. Plus you dont have the cojones to pull the trigger. :P

RJ did. He told me what to do and I gave him feedback on it so he knew what to adjust.

Shaddup! I do! And I would do so if it weren't for 3 things:
1) I'd need to have a very powerful and accurate gun if I'm to hit you at all from Hong Kong
2) I need my cars tuned, so if you died, I'd be screwed
3) I don't have a gun

Oh……right, well, you still had some part in it :D So that counts :P

Tuner Comments:
Lampuhkap asked us to do the suspension and LSD on his street legal NSX. Street legal meaning it’s still got full weight, mostly bolt-on engine parts and no racing tyres.

This tune brings the NA1 NSX a few steps closer to the performance levels of the NA2 NSX, by borrowing the suspension settings from our NSX-R 3rd Anniversary.

This is the first street legal release we’ve done, mainly because we didn’t think there would be a specific market for it. If it turns out there’s a decent demand for it, we’ll probably do more.

I drove with this tune quite a few hours now. Thing has awesome turn in, accelerates good due to the closer gears (stays better in powerband, original gears are WAY to long, even for over 345 hp with broken in engine)

If you keep the throttle control real good and drive clean its is a dream to drive. If you are sloppy it will bite you in the ass! :D You can drift this real easy, so be careful! It really makes you drive better than you ever did before. The suspension keeps the car from diving under breaking and keeps the car from rolling. Its a real nice suspension setup. It still could use a little more back end grip to keep it from sliding in long corners (fast corners). But other that that, it is awesome. My daily driver this is :D

The Shelby Cobra tune you made for me is much much better than it was. Also a beast to drive. It was an pain in the ass, because you couldnt get it to corner with the setup it had. Now i can easily get it going everywhere i want and it brakes (just be gentle, because locking up is easy). It is an monster :P

The sound, the torque and de massive acceleration. It is beautiful :D Thnx man :D

Glad you liked the car! I think the rear could use some more rear grip too, but unfortunately that's the problem with NA1 NSX's. You could fix it with a wing though, but then it doesn't look as street legal anymore.

Just a shame it didn't completely tame the Cobra, but I suppose it is one of those cars afterall.

I have a question to anyone in the know. Why can the Murcielago LP-670 SV and the Gallardo LP-560 have carbon propeller shafts, but not the Tommy Kaira ZZII? All 3 are midship AWD cars.

Cuz it's PD we're talking about here :D Not much they do makes much sense

Don't quote me on this but I believe its probably because they consider it to already have a carbon drive shaft as part of the stock cars build, just like certain cars limit how much weight reduction and don't allow carbon hoods because the manufacturer's/tuners already included that.

That makes sense, you're probably right. 👍

In other news, it lives.

Is now a good time to mention a $50 price drop on the PS3 range effective yesterday? :embarrassed:

On topic-ish, I have about a dozen cars of yours that I've driven over the past months that I will shoot in reviews for once I am done with the driving for the 525 shootout. Most are yours, RJ, and a few for that lazy British guy...

Yeah the drop is good, as mine is giving up on me o.O

Oh well, hopefully it'll drop another $50 by the time the laser gives up again. :sly:

Yay! Reviews!

Also working on a few cars, one might be a bit tailhappy... Because racecar.

I'm lost………:( But I think RJ's car is a Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car :D And RJ, you say your FFs can, and will, oversteer. Can you tell me which oversteers the most and how to get it to do so? :D

I think it's my '03 Accord V6... And I'll throw it on share some time.

Yay!! F****ing oversteer city!!! :D  and if you won't give me my Audi back, can you do my '01 Integra? Or have you done the Audi already?

Your Audi will be coming back to you with a proper tune on it... I'm just trying to get back to where I left off in terms of driving skill first.

Oh good, just don't stress it (both you and the PS3) too much, or we're back at square one again.

Off topic- YESSSSS!!!!!!! No more busting my fingernails on the piano for a crappy exam!!!! I has had my exam just now and I am proud of me
