RKM Motorsport’s Spoon CR-Z

SpoonCRZ.jpg

SpoonCRZ_Big.jpg

I'd never ever ever thought i would drive a hybrid. The CR-Z looks the coolest of all though. What better to get it from spoon. Its one sticky car, tonnes of grip and, for the power it has, quite quick too!

I used the suspension settings earlier, but now i put the transmission settings on it too en yes it is a great transmission too :D

Thnx! Lets see if i can get this baby to win a endurance :D

RKM Motorsport’s GranTurismo S

I used my street legal theme on this one. Full weight, stiffend the car up, some nice wheels on, the aero looked not to over the top, so put that on, kept the tranny stock (not a wise choice, gears are way to long, so i want to put a custom one in, but that goes a bit against my street legal thing) put some slicks under and went for a go at Tsukuba. 56 seconds and room for improvement on stock tranny! :D It has more than enough grip en the response is awesome :D not to hard, not too soft, its a perfect setting for me :D

And that noise it makes...mjom mjom!

RKM Motorsport’s R34 Black Edition

Again, i just applied my street legal theme to this. This is almost a Nismo S Tune car :D Street legal beast. It could use some more power/bottom end torque. But im not gonna touch the engine, i might go for stage 1 turbo, but for now, this will do. The car has some understeer, but with some braking and throttle it is workable and superstable. The aero is not to flashy, so thats a plus :D it has tonnes of grip, good response, great turn in and really good transmission settings. The understeer might come from the sport soft tires. Im not really used to the limitations of those, i normally drive slicks 💡

But is is really a great work of art :D i made it Active Red from Nismo with the BBS LMR wheels and damn that looks bad-ass! Yes, i used a carbon fibre bonnet, because on a GT-R, that is a musthave even for a street driven monster. Good tune, fast and stable. Me like

Just thought I'd let you know, I've used this tune on the older, Standard Mine's car, and it works well on that too.

It has fuel though. It won't always work at full power but it has regenerative braking too.

But will bob be smart enough to keep his brakes on when he's in the pit? Oh wait, it has an engine as well? Missed that bit…

Thanks! It should win the GVS 300km in A-Spec, but B-Spec remains to be seen.

Yeah the GranTurismo S is underestimated because it's a Maserati and not a Ferrari, so this just shows how much potential it has without even maxing it! :D

For less power I'd soften it a little so it's not so rock solid, but yeah thanks for the review! It's definately a car for higher power. I'd say the R34 Black Edition is better for low power.

Little tip though, edit your posts into 1. Triple posting is looked down upon by the AUP.

You thought the CR-Z was a full electric car?

You thought the CR-Z was a full electric car?

Yup, cuz I'm not feeling all that bright after the shellshock from my piano exam. Examiner looked like a Harry Potter character with the beard and glasses and his long pencil

well, as u know, my Spoon CR-Z is kinda streetlegal themed. So i kept full weight and kept the engine mods as low as possible. 218hp now and im -3 on the GVS :P Not so good @ lap 59 :P

But hej :D it was well worth to try :D

So,

I've decided to post a review of the NSX Type R (Spec 3), I would have liked to have posted pics with it but as I have to do it from my phone I can't, sorry.

The NSX Type R, I'll be honest, it's not a car I immediately seen and thought ooooh I must go out and buy that, like many others I headed straight to a Skyline/Evo/Subaru (4wd club) then upto the super cars, anyway after trying RKMs tunes I decided to go through them all and so here we are.

From reading the description in the tune page you kinda get the impression that it's one of Roj's favourite cars and straight from the off you can feel that, you can also feel it's acceleration and how light and agile it feels. Even with cold tires when you know your not at 100% grip it feels planted although the rear can get abit loose if you get over excited (but remember loose means it's gonna be fast).

Once you have warmed your tires up that's when the fun begins :), you can through it into corners and it just glides round them without a care in the world, get yourself onto a straight and it can match the fastest out there, fancy putting one up the inside? Then go for it, it's great under breaking and remains as stable as ever. It is just an awesome car.

I've just ran laps in my online lobby so I could post some lap times, I will say that I ran AT (sorry not got around to learning MT!) and i was using a DS3, I also did an oil change so I'm pumping out 400bhp at 539pp which is slightly higher than this tune is posted with, also I'm not the fastest driver out there but I think these are pretty respectable.

Sports Soft on Suzuka:

Lap1 2:13.760
Lap2 2:12.077
Lap3 2:11.217

Racing Soft on Suzuka:

Lap1 2:04.445
Lap2 2:04.034
Lap3 2:03.796

I know Racing softs take away part of the character of this tune but when you add them............... Damn the awesome gets even awesomer (is that even a word?)

Anyway to put those laps onto perspective I also ran RKM's 370Z GT Acadamy tune on Raving Softs ( is also an excellent tune by the way) at 462bhp and 557pp so it is a step up from NSX and I posted

Lap1 2:04.667
Lap2 2:04.003
Lap3 2:03.643

The NSX was slight slower but with those numbers difference it's not surprising but it was definitely more fun and more rewarding to drive, I could go faster in both cars as I made a small mistake plus I was hungry so needed a food break ;)

Anyway, if you hadn't guessed this tune is a 10/10 all day long, yes it really is that good. So good in fact I have 3, all slightly different but all based on the above (1 at 500pp, 1 as the tune should be and 1 fully tuned which the tune can still handle)

:)

Great work guys, I've always appreciated the hard work that's put into your tunes.

Do you set up your tunes online or off? Wheel or controller?

Sorry if you've answered this in the thread before, so many pages to dig thru now.

They're offline mostly. Roj uses a DS3, Rj uses a wheel. And I don't blame you TBH

...Im kinda new and ive tries your CR-Z and Romeo and Juliet, ill start off with Romeo...🤬 he is fast! he sticks to the road like he is glued to it! no oversteer until...you go into a slightly sharp corner, or you give it full beans on the exit, i couldnt belive that there is no understeer! AT ALL!!! but the bad thing is he is Race Modified... i bet a F430 and a couple of Lambos and then got shunned because it was Race Modified :ouch:

Juliet.
Not as fast in a straight line but God!! is she fun! she can get the back end out easily if she wants but when powersliding it is so controllable, i personally prefer her to Romeo, but thats just me...Oh yeah, you know those guys who shunned me because Romeo was Race Modified, i won them in Juliet. They Left...

10/10 Juliet
7/10 Romeo

Keep up the Amazing work. Just a thought i would appreciate it if you did the Elise 96, that is a super light car, thankyou once again!!

Thanks for the review! Yeah the NSX-R is among my favourite favourites. Hence why it's on it's 3rd revision without even having a bad one to begin with!

The great thing about the NSX is how far above it's own weight it can punch. The 370Z GTA has downforce front and rear, but only marginally beats the NSX with it's rear-only downforce.

But yeah, thanks for the review!

Yeah that's pretty much the reason why we tuned them as a pair. It lets us get the best out of the Elise in more than 1 way, so you have an Elise for any situation. :D

The '96 Elise is on our to-do list so it'll come one day.

It is suprising just how good it is and what it can compete with considering that it's not massively overpowered.

Hope it qualifies your a request tune ;)

:D

Ok, I think I know what that 'American tailhappy sunuva' RJ is tuning is. in fact, there are two of them. And I'm sure he'll be very pleased I revealed it to everyone!

One is named after an animal and the other is where you'd take that animal to if it's sick

Hey Roj, I have a suggestion: how about churning some street-spec tunes (like the NSX street legal version and my ZR1)? I think it'd be a great idea for clients who'd opt for a minimal amount of mods and yet produce capable cars. What do you think? :)

And Roj, weren't you going to release the C5R tune? And seeing as I forgot all my requests (I think it was a TVR Speed 12), I'll get you to do something different for me :D

GTP Name: Onboy123
PSN Name: Onboy123
Your Car: you'll find out soon enough :D Hint: It's an FF and it's one you tuned a lot.
Sending Your Own Car? Yes
Tuning Request: Make it work on sport hard tyres, it's currently running on a tune I cobbled together out of other FF tunes. It needs to work online. And yes, I did paint it brown
Link To Review: Take your pick-
Civic VTiR
Camaro 'Deathsycthe'
Celica GT4 WRC GTR GTI RS SS TT thingy

'The Emperor'

There's more, I just can't be arsed to look for more :D

It's the Hamster and the...Toilet? If it was ACTUALLY sick of course ;)

I actually know what it is so don't worry that I've become a madman guys

Ok, as I am on my phone, I can't bold the ones that are wrong, but so you know, RJ's tune is for an. American car, so the bug and big cat are out :D
