RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Onboy, only one of them was being referred to. The other just understeers until you hit the throttle a bit too hard, THEN it goes sideways. Don't know if it'll get let out either, it's just not fast enough.

Yea, I remember you saying that last night, it's more of a pig than the animal it was named after.

By the way, what happened after the MX5 race? Did you decide to go take a dump or something? Where'd you run off to?

Yeppp. And I kinda died, went off to do other stuff on PC.

Not sure if the plow will actually make it, I've gotta release 3 cars and only 2 actually feel good... Though the loose bugger is still just that... The chocolate bar is damn near perfect and will scare something of Roj's though...

Ohh...well, that's better than your PS3 dying :D

Can I has a go in the 3 cars? And I wanna drive that oversteering FF that is your Accord :)

It is suprising just how good it is and what it can compete with considering that it's not massively overpowered.

Hope it qualifies your a request tune ;)

:D
Yeah it qualifies. :P
Could you please double check the transmission settings for the 458? The first and second gears are not available.
Will do. 👍
Hey Roj, I have a suggestion: how about churning some street-spec tunes (like the NSX street legal version and my ZR1)? I think it'd be a great idea for clients who'd opt for a minimal amount of mods and yet produce capable cars. What do you think? :)
I've said before if there's a demand for it, I'd release street legal tunes. So yeah, I guess I'll be making more street legal cars now.
And Roj, weren't you going to release the C5R tune? And seeing as I forgot all my requests (I think it was a TVR Speed 12), I'll get you to do something different for me :D

GTP Name: Onboy123
PSN Name: Onboy123
Your Car: you'll find out soon enough :D Hint: It's an FF and it's one you tuned a lot.
Sending Your Own Car? Yes
Tuning Request: Make it work on sport hard tyres, it's currently running on a tune I cobbled together out of other FF tunes. It needs to work online. And yes, I did paint it brown
Link To Review: Take your pick-
Civic VTiR
Camaro 'Deathsycthe'
Celica GT4 WRC GTR GTI RS SS TT thingy

'The Emperor'

There's more, I just can't be arsed to look for more :D
A Civic Type R?

Also I'm waiting for RJ to release stuff before I release anymore. We're up to 97 tunes and RJ's batch will bring us nicely at 100.

ah, bad timing. I'm out for most of tonight (drinking with mum and friends to celebrate me being done with my exam) so the brownmobile will arrive tomorrow. And RJ's tunes will take it up to 99, and the 'vette will be your 100th! yay!

97 + 3 = 99? Did you neglect math for piano?

Also I forgot to mention, PM me the request. It'll get lost and forgotten in the thread.

Argh dammit! I thought RJ was releasing two as the one we were discussing earlier will very likely be unreleased. And I'll PM you later.

Honda S200 Review
When i first saw this car in the RKM tuning forum i thought to myself, not powerful enough:indiff:but once i bought and tuned this thing i took it to the Ring. I was thinking about a close rival to the S2000...Of course Rojs RM Golf! I did a lap in the Golf in 7.40 :guilty:and then i took the S2000 for a run... insane grip! you can leave it in any gear throughout corners and the Engine just climbs up the revs crazily! if i didnt know what car it was and the interior was the same i would would say it was "Juliet!" basically its a more powerful heavier version of the Elise !.. i then posted a 7.35.567... i looked through my garage randomly and spotted the AEM S2000 this gave me an idea RKM vs AEM 2 amazing tuners! back to the ring i went, i thought RKM had a disadvantage due to power, but the AEM is a bit "Drifty" in slower and medium range corners, whereas the RKM was glued to the floor only sliding when floored on the exits of corners. End result AEM 7.30.645 RKM 7.27.982...i almost cried laughing David killed Goliath.
The only bad thing is sometimes it understeers before it oversteers which makes me laugh because its an FR car! i think thats just down to pure grip and me "pushing it too far!"
One question
What were you smoking when you created this car...i want some 👍
9/10 easily ! but Juliet will always be my favourite

Thanks for the review! The S2000 does feel like a more grown up Elise and I can't think of a reason why that would be a bad tihng. :D I'd think the Amuse S2000 R1 would be a good match for our S2000. Shame PD didn't make it premium though.

I was smoking Bridgestone Potenza tyres when I was built this car. ;)

i know, i wish the R1 was premium, its pretty fast, i have one and ill do a test and put it up soon :) by the way, is the NSX street tuned version fast? :sly:

It's a smidge faster than a stock NSX Type R.

+1. Instead though we get...never mind. Last time I said it in this thread it just dissolved into an argument so I won't go there. The R1 is still the best S2000 for me. Although if an AEM won't beat RKM the R1 will be left standing :indiff: Unless the AEM was still on Comfort Softs but that hardly matters anyway :indiff:

If anyone mentions a rivalry between Amuse and RKM, someone please punch him right in the face and tell him about this car.

Lol your girl's car? I thought it was Passionate Pink though? and WHEN ARE YOU WRITING THE NEXT CHAPTER?!?!?!?!?!?

It isn't Passionate Pink, it's New Indy Yellow. :P Wait, you're talking about hers, not mine. :dunce:

I said she's a hibernating bear. She stole a golden minigun from HWG and would shoot at anyone who would dare interrupt her sleep.

That aside, I'd better get my ass off to a review so that I can give Roj another job to do.

147RS vs Evo IX
Right before you instantly assume i am crazy, here what ive got to say, many of you may agree with me. The Evo IX "Emperor" is a good piece of kit to say the least! although i do find it to stable and prone to understeer sometimes, occasionally if you brake and turn at the same time the back-end may swing out but happily the AYC takes care of that in no time.At first i absolutely hated this car, No Fun,Understeery, But sounded Great!:dopey: i left it for an hour or too and decided to go for something with soul. The Alfa Romeo 147 "147RS" haha! i love it! such a happy car 230hp with endless grunt which i have only experienced in the "Volvo C30R" and the best car "NSX-R 3rd Anniversary" good start then 👍 it may not be as agile round the corners as some FF cars but it is very fun and lively! wouldnt reccomend you to use it in a serious race though. After being cheered up by the Alfa i went back to the Evo IX with a posotive frame of mind. i started driving the car much slower, and then building up the pace it still had that hint of understeer but the AYC fought that off well, like you said Roj you do have to alter your driving style, i found the aggresive approach much faster, because the AYC could easily cope with it, i find that making the torque split 10:90 much easier for my aggresive driving style.
How they are Linked?
It suddenly hit me!💡 the 147 is pure heart and soul it is not actually anything serious (I adore it dont get me wrong) it will make you smile and laugh.
BUT.
On the other hand Im beggining to like the Evo IX because i know what it is, its a Technological Advancement its Amazing it will post great lap times but just not with...Laughter and joy like the Alfa would :indiff: its like the PS3, one day there is going to a PS4 and the PS3 will slowly die out, but the ALFA will always win your heart... once you have realised what the Evo is you can then respect the Evo IX, for what it is a souless car...But God is it fast.

I love both cars, it is really down to you and your personal preferences.:P
Another Great Job at RKM tuning. :gtpflag::cheers:

Very good work guys, at the moment i'm doing all your car tunes in a row:) fantastic, brilliant! Just interesting how you can make Ford Focus RS '02, any possibilities to make it powerful monster?

Dude,

RKM did the tune I gave you for BTCC (which you never even bothered doing anyway)

Thanks for the review! The Alfa is one of those cars that encourages you to play with it rather than drive it seriously, which is a good way to relax between serious races I think. :D

I haven't seen any review for the R32 Godzilla here, since I am a big fan of the thing I will do a little bit of a review here. Sorry I cannot go in lengthy detail like some of the properly-made-reviews here due to language issue...

It seems the car has been improved a lot in terms of cornering ability from it in default settings. However, compared to your other tunes, this one by far has the most understeer persisting with the overall handling. Maybe the overall balance of the car makes it goes naturally like that.

However, I can cope with that, With a little throttle control, the understeer can be tamed. It is just the understeer "sits" with the this one compared to other tunes. But again your tunes are proven once again, works like magic to shave of almost 2 seconds off the default setting tested in Trial mountain with ss tyres. I will post the said time later.

I expected this car to be at the same lvl with the R34 Black Edition in terms of handling. But the R34 is far better with almost nothing to complain about.

Can someone comment for this one?

Thanks

Yes it was. Just remove the ballast if you want more out of it...

And unrestrict the turbo (if your using the settings) , although removing the ballast will cause it to wheelspin alot more, 355bhp is a good number at 1000kgs (which is what I'm running), still understeer on RM's but it's a demon on the straights

I know, cuz I got Roj to PM me the settings :) And RJ, I hope you don't mind, but I've put the diff from your C30RS in a lot of my FF cars now (like the Integra you briefly saw last time we raced), I just love the eager oversteer and puppy dog enthusiasm you get from it :D
