RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

It won't be up until tomorrow tomorrow with 3 other cars. I am gonna give another car for "Team Nero" that needs work. So far, 512BB, 458, 430 S and Ezio are done. The other two..... Lets say... one of Team Nero's rivals.

It's a mafk bastard to get right with the diff as it is. Fast, but yeah. If you'll be on PSN any time soon I'll try to show you how to drive it.

I should note that Highlandor wound up turning his steering sensitivity down for it I think as well as making the diff much weaker.
Well…I don't want to alter the tune, so if I can't drive it without it going sideways even after the tuition, then so be it.

Edit: Oi, can you add the PP for all your tunes, RJ? I'm going to be doing the review based on PP levels i.e 500-535PP

 I think your problem with LS6>LS7 is the same as with my Z06 RM. Your right thumb has two positions and coming out of slow corners in either of them like that results in death.

I coulllllllld. But then why? PD will just change it all next update anyway.

No but more seriously, the ones that weren't released with a PP spec aren't meant for online save the Lotus twins. Offline PP matters none.

Thumb? I use the L2/R2 controls, which are easier to use than X/square. And I still can't be precise with it. I don't get it, I've driven Deathsycthe, MFT's RUF Robin, powersilded a X1, and I can't conquer a plastic wedge with a V8?!

-.- WELL IT MAKES MY LIFE EASIER! I DON'T WANT TO WRITE A BLOODY COMPARO ON 16 CARS, ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT I CAN'T STITCH IT TOGETHER PROPERLY CUZ I DON'T HAVE A BLOODY BENCHMARK!!![/caps rage]

Time for a moment or rage.... with Linkueigman.

... sigh....... Today started off great. I got head from a beautiful girl.... then I went on to do my cars for overpowered tuning and I'm doing the Ferrari 458 F... IT IS GIVING ME SO MANY -insert a long beep here- PROBLEMS! D:< The gears aren't coming out right and it is making me mad as hell. VTiRoj, you are such a bastard for doing this to me. (Last line is in a kidding mood) This is angering me so much, I want to kick a baby across a football field. It is all because the difference from the back is longer then the front.

umad cos ubad bro?

Also, L2/R2 eh. Right index finger then. Also, switch to L1/R1 and abuse the pressure sensitivity. If I didn't have a wheel I would kill to have a DS2 rather than a DS3 on my PS3 so I could have pressure sensitive trigger BUTTONS rather than analog triggers. It's just so much nicer IMO.

Tuner Comments:
GfxJG asked us to tune an SL55 in our usual RKM style, so we did, by putting more AMG in his AMG, so he can torque while he torques.

Like the SLS, the SL55 isn’t much of a handling machine. Actually it’s quite bad and makes a bus look like a hot hatch in comparison. So we decided instead of making the SL55 become an Elise, we’d let the SL55 do what it does best, power. Lots of power. This SL55 puts even muscle cars to shame with the amount of torque it has. Effortless pull from as little as 2,500rpm!

Everyone’s biggest gripe with the SL55 is the AMG-style tyre destruction. Well we’ve managed to suppress it back to first gear, with a little bit of second gear play if you love your Mercs sideways. What this car lacks in handling, it makes up for in control and sheer fun. Yes, fun in an expensive Mercedes. Madness? This is RKM!

I would love to try this tune out but my PS3's committed suicide 👎

Pressure sensitivity? What the hell are you going on about? I just use them to shift up and down…

WELL WHO'S THE TUNER?! YOU! WHO'S SUPPOSED TO BE KEEPING THE CUSTOMERS SATISFIED?! YOU! SO YOU GO DO WHAT I TELL YOU TO DO, AND ADD THE DAMN PP RATINGS! NAO! IT'LL ONLY TAKE ABOUT 10 MINUTES! <insert swearing> [/caps rage]

Noob. Every button except for XMB, start, and select is pressure sensitive. Set
R1/L1 as gas/brake and you'll see what I mean. If you don't mash them you can modulate input that way. Or at least stop using them for shifting. To do it that way you have to use your middle fingers for gas/brake and your middle fingers DO NOT have the same dexterity as your index fingers.

Ohhh……well, I know about the last bit. On some reviews with easy cars, I drive with my index fingers only, and the car is a bit smoother. Though not by a noticeable amount. Or I'm just getting crappier with each review…

Screw you, I don't care if you're John Hennessy or Barack Obama, you do what the customers tell you to do. :D

@Onboy...you know if your going to actually drive the cars for your review a quick peek in the garage will tell you their PP...just saying:sly:

Also try using the right stick for throttle and brake. A little practice will allow you to roll on/off the throttle, hold part throttle and ease onto the brakes.:D plus you can leave your mt settings alone and have them acting like paddle shifters since you don't need to move your fingers from the throttle or brake buttons/triggers.💡:D:crazy:

I would love to try this tune out but my PS3's committed suicide 👎

Just one tip mate, if you wish to quote the tune, just use the picture, not the entire post. It makes it easier for the viewers to scroll down. :D

Oh please don't tempt me... I use L2/R2 too and I'm not too bad to be honest. Only fatigue would slip me away

Yeah, he just has to use common sense, he should have been online whilst I grind for a while :dunce:

Yea, but I like to plan out a review before hand, and I can't guestimate like RJ just by looking at power and weight stats…

Yes, that does work, but I like 'left foot/finger braking' cuz it sounds cool, and you can't do that with only one stick.
Oh please don't tempt me... I use L2/R2 too and I'm not too bad to be honest. Only fatigue would slip me away
Well, I know you ain't bad, and I know I'm faster than you sometimes but consistently slower every other time, but that last bit is a lie! :D If I typed your Anime girlfriend's name or showed you a picture of her, you'd slip off the track and be in a pool of your own drool and tyre smoke. :D

Hell no that wouldn't happen... You see she's my inspiration :D

Hey, I have a question for anyone in here. Does someone have the SP1 in RKM's tune? I have one in it's overpowered format, but I lost my notes on the conversion numbers. I will need to borrow it for no longer in at least 5-10 minutes for the space between the top and bottom of the gearing ratios.

@Onboy my real life truck is an automatic which means my right foot does all the work. With a MT car the only thing your left foot does is work the clutch. So having the throttle and brake use the same finger or in this case thumb is more realistic than having opposite hands/fingers working them. Plus you can still have buttons/triggers mapped for them in case you wish to lock the brakes up while building rpms for burnout and/or drag racing.:D

Anyways I'll end the off topic discussion here so RJ doesn't decide to kick my nether regions for spamming up his garage.👍👍

Don't blame me, I'm not the one who kept asking me for a 458 tune. :P

Judging from how many reviews the SP1 has had, almost no one has that car. I don't even have the car!!

Well, you're an ex soldier, aren't you? Just use your military skillz and smack RJ silly :D

@Linkueigman, I have one, tuned to RKM specs, but I can't get on for a while.

And you see, I'd get distracted by mine cuz she makes me :lol:

And you see, we're at it again with the banter :D

Get it over already, I have to beat you with the same Corvette that's giving you problems

Speaking of which, is RKM open for, umm, fun little compacts too? I've been thinking of a tune for the 60's version of the Mini Cooper. If I'd get one review that would work for a request, umm...

Damn it. I don't want to spend another 1.5m on a car, just for that purpose. D:<

Edit: I have the F430 Stradista, Ferrari 458 F, and Ferrari 512BB done, but without the SP1, I will have problems releasing the team.

I dare you to drive it. You'd either love it or hate it. I think it's RJ's way of stopping us spamming. Giving me a car with lethal handling and hoping it'll finish me off…

I know it is, cuz I sent a fun little bunny for a tune up :D

@ Linkueigman, I have one, as said earlier, but I can't put it up for share for a while…

@Onboy please delete a couple of your sent PMs or something as I tried to PM you only to find your maxed out again.:grumpy:

MEGA REVIEW TIME!
Review style has been changed to a story format, to fit the tale behind it, showing a Rivalry between 3 powerful companies in Italy, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Pagani. The Ferrari's Race Team will be known as "Team Nero", the Lamborghini's Race Team will be known as "Team Bianco" and Pagani's Race Team will be known as "Team Grigio" In English, Ferrari is "Team Black", Lamborghini is "Team White" and Pagani is "Team Silver." The review points, and concerns of myself will be marked in red, like this sentence is. Cars I want reviewed will be in blue at the end of the review, like this sentence. Suits mentioned will be in Green (Like this) so you can get an idea of what they look like.

Time: 15:42:23, Unknown Hangar, Italy.

A Black Ferrari Enzo pulls up to the Hanger in the middle of a huge field, opens the garage door, pulls inside and the parks his car. The man opened his door, and quickly closed it, wearing his racing suit, that is a blue and red helm, with the red around the facemask (Masquerade-30), and a Red, Blue and Black racer suit , where the is a red stripe cutting thew it half way (Foehn-30). He walks to his office and opens his door that reads "Team Nero Leader; Steve." He get changed, takes a shower, gets dressed and goes to his desk and relaxes after a long night of testing on his team's secret test course. Steve is a tall, skinny man, coming in at about 6'1" with brown eyes and long, brown hair, about halfway down his chest. He isn't strong looking at his upper body, but he has quite the amount of muscles when he flexes. He seems to act very casual to most thing, being serious only at times of need.
He looked around the Hangar, looking at all of the Ferrari Emblems on the wall, dating from the very first to the Modern Emblem, he looked above it and there was a huge Black Banner with white letters the spell "TEAM NERO" He then looked to the back wall, where the cars are parked. Only some of them have the new labels on the wall, but each one has a picture of their car, ranging to least horsepower to most horsepower. With his being the most horsepower, he laughs and goes to looking at his desk, he picks up a picture of him with a girl, both in race suits, holding up a trophy.
He hears a sudden cranking sound and looks down to the Hanger door opening. He sees four other cars come in. The Ferrari 512BB, SP1, F430 Scuderia, and 458 Italia. He laughs and murders to himself. "About time they caught up to me. This is why I love having the fastest car." He then looks down, and sees the names on them have been changed. He walks down and goes to them. They start leaving their cars as he walks in the room.
The person driving the 512BB is a shorter man, about 5'3" with a stubby facial hair, brown eyes and a short, black hair that is barely grown out. He is strong by his looks, and has the Street Brawler look on him. He is holding a pitch black racing helmet with two yellow stripes (Horizon-05) under his arm and a pitch black racing suit with two stripes going down the right side of his suit. (Double Stripe-05) He closes his door and goes to his work station, with a sign that says "Jim" over the area.
The person driving the SP1 is a short woman, at about 5'4" with green eyes and blonde hair a little bit longer then her shoulders. She has the "Scene Kid" look and has 7 piercings in both of her ears. She is holding in both of her hands a green helmet with red grid meshing over it (Reinforced-16) and a bi-colored Dark and Light Green suit (Bicolor I-16). She goes up to Steve's office, where under Steve's name it says; "Co-Team Leader: Tami"
The person driving the F430 Scuderia is a medium sized man at about 5'8" who has blue eyes and medium sized brown hair. He has the 90's rocker look going for him, with tattoos and no piercings of any kind. He is holding his Grey and Blue striped racing helmet is his left hand (Horizon-03). His racing suit is all blue with grey striped going down the left hand side (Double Stripe-03 w/ reversed look). He goes to his working area, where the name "Hank" is hanging is a Steel Plate.
The final man, driving the 458 Italia, is a man who is about 6'3" has brown eyes and short brown hair. He is a large man, with a little bit of fat but is very nice to everyone. He is holding a white helmet with light blue around the facemask (Masquerade-07) and a white and light blue suit where it there are random blue stripes going around his legs and arms (Thunder-07). He goes to his work area that is very clean that reads "T.J" on the side of it."
Steve speaks up "So guys, how was the testing out?"
They all grown and Steve goes into Jim's area first. He looks over his shoulder, at some modifications he is wanting to make.
"Gave it some power, huh Jim?"
"That is right.... I took it's power, and I want to bring it from 345 HP stock and increase it to 566 HP, giving it a huge horsepower boost!"
"DAMN! How was it handling before."
Jim sighed slowly. "Well. The car seems to be powerful enough, spinning out when in low gears on sports: soft. The car is also fun to drift around corners, giving it the fun factor when racing. The only problem is that it isn't fast enough to keep up with the rest of the team. That is why I am doing that and bring the gearing up to a brand new amount of horsepower and top speed, almost breaking 200 easily."
Steve laughed "Well, you do know.... We can all go over 200 already... making you always the slowest car."
"..... Your right... Oh well, At least we can use me in old time events and kick ass against other cars of my age."
"I'll let you finish working, I'll be talking to Hank."
Steve waved to Jim then leaves to go see Hank. His work area is camo coloured, showing he is a huge army supporter. He waves at me, I go over.
"Hey, Steve. Look at this chart.... I am thinking of giving my F430 more power."
"Why is that.... exactly?"
"Well... my car only has an Stage One Engine tune-up, but I could use more power and I have the money for it, so I want to take the chance and get more power behind my wheels. It will also allow me to keep up with the more powerful cars, while staying under 700 HP, and I think I might be able to get more power then Tami. I mean, the handling is like a god already when it comes to racing, but I need the speed to become a true god of racing."
"Well, that is good an all, but you are stuck using Sports: Soft tires, so Tami and I will always have the advantage over you."
"I want to have a chance to beat you in a drag, but since your re-tuning, you can beat us as anything, making you the definite leader of Team Nero.."
Steve laughed then stated; "Well, have fun modifying your car. I will be talking to T.J."
Hank and Steve high five'd then Steve went to T.J's are. He sees T.J is working on his car, also. Steve laughed and went over to him.
"Trying to get more power, huh?"
T.J spun around quickly. "Yep. I mean... I have no engine tunes going for me, but I at least have one thing going for me if I do. The car's pretty good when it comes to handling, getting around corners like nothing, but if I increase in speed, I will get 703 HP, giving me the clear cut advantage in speed unless I am racing against you."
"Good, good. I am gonna let you all keep working, tell me when your done. I will be talking to the Co."
T.J. waves Steve off and he goes upstairs to his desk, where he sees Tami sitting in his favorite chair. Normally no one can get away with this, but he lets her do it.
"Having fun in my chair, huh love?"
Tami giggles; "Yea, but not as much fun was we did winning the cup last year in your Enzo... Thanks to that re-tune to get more power out of the gears. It made first gear useful, instead of the standard 242 setting. Granted, it's handling isn't the best for a car with such power, but in a wide open length of track, you can easily beat anyone."
"Yea, if I didn't pester RoJ and RJ to change it, who would? So, let me guess... Going to get more power out of your car?"
"How did you know about that?"
"Everyone else is... might as well ask if you are."
"Well, yea. I am gonna get the final stages done and change my transmission to get more power, like the others. The car handles like a dream, getting around corners like a boss. I don't know why they market is as an unknown drivetrain I can see the engine in the back. I am no idiot. I also like how it barely skids thanks to the Racing: Soft tires, but my car will never beat your car's sheer power. I need a better name for it then RKM's 'SP1 Maybeline.' I know, it is car for a girl and they gave us the tuning and I'm a girl and all, but I am not going to have it be that girly. We need something good for a name."
At that time, Cee Lo Green's song "Forget You" comes on the radio, since it is the censored version. Tami looks at Steve, shocked.
"I got the perfect name. SP1 Lady Killer, since it is a girl car, yea. That car, with extra power, can kill the drive, making it a 'Lady Killer'."
"... Damn fine naming." Stay here. I am gonna see how the others are doing."
Steve goes back down to the others, they are changing the name of their cars. Jim is changing his car's name from the Ferrari 512BB into the Ferrari 512CC. Hank is changing his car's name from the F430 Stradista to the F430 Assassino and T.J. is changing the name of his car into the 458 FU2. They then go back to working on their cars. Steve just laughed and went over to his car, Changing the name of his car from the Enzo GT to the Ezio Auditore GT.
"Well, if my car is gonna kill others, might at well name it that."
A call comes in and Steve can hear it from downstairs. He goes to the phone.
"Team Nero here. Who is calling?"
"Hahahahaha! The losers actually picked up!"
"Oh god.... Not you again George... Didn't you and Team Bianco learn the last time that you messed with us that you will never beat us?"
"Oh we can beat you. In fact, bring you and your team down to Roma's race track. See you losers there!"
Before Steve could get a word in edge wise, the man hangs up. Steve is quiet for a bit then looked at his team.
"I hope you finished your tuning, because we need to get to racing. George and his crew are messing with Team Nero. Let's show them who is boss once again!"
Everyone cheered, got their uniforms back on and left the hanger, going in a line formation. First was Steve's Ezio GT, then Tami's SP1 Lady Killer, then T.J's 458 FU2, then Hank's F430 Assassino, and bringing up the rear was Jim's 512BB. Once they got to the track, they drove right into the pit and there were two white cars there. A Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 and a Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. Team Nero pulled up, and Bianco drove over to Nero
George lowers his window slowly. He is wearing an all white suit with black stripes all over his body, arms and legs, and his partner is the Gallardo, Kane, is wearing a white suit also, but with less stripes, showing he is of lower rank. They just really looked like two clones of the racer "Stig" from Top Gear, but with black marks on their suit.
George laughed; “Look who showed up. I bet you would chicken out on us.”
Steve shot right back quickly; “Hey, you may of thought that, but at least we aren't the one thought of as fags. Look at you two. You're both in bright, white cars, wearing bright, white suits, with black spiffy wheels painted white. I mean, come on! Seriously! Team Grigio and us don't do that because fully matching is for sell outs who can't even race!”
“Leave them out of this. It is time to race. We are challenging you to a time attack around Roma's track. Each racer has 3 laps to get a their fastest time. Team with the fastest time wins. Are you ready?”
“When aren't we? Jim. Your first.”
Jim's head snaps at Steve “Really? Why me?”
“You know why. I am just too lazy to say it.”
Jim goes around, doing a practice lap then starts his time attack speeding across the finish line, When he was not turning the car seemed really fast, but when going around the corners, he lost too much speed. The overpowering didn't help since it made him skid and his tires smoke white, making drifting a near must when going around most turns. Jim looked like he was having fun, but he wasn't pleased at his time. His best time was at 1:13.615 on his 2nd lap. He went back into the pit and Steve looked at Hank.
“Your up partner. Go show them how the Assassino runs.”
Hank nods, gets in his vehicle and takes a practice lap then takes off past the finish line. His car seems to of have no negative side effects from the power increase like the 512CC did when turning, getting a better speed from leaving a corner. The only difference is his speed increased majorly, getting him a better lap time then he would of without the extra power. His best time was clocked in at 1:10.965 on his 3rd lap. Hank pulled in, impressed.
George looked at his partner and had a smug smile on his face.
“Show them what for, make them become disappointed.”
Kane got in his car, took his practice lap and took off past the finish line. When he went by the finish line, we was going faster then both Hank and Jim could on any lap, and their jaws just dropped with a surprised look on their face. They were afraid they will lose to him, and indeed they did. The Gallardo was going around the corners like nothing, having the famous drifting feel and not so good of handling that cause him to smoke his tires a bit, but that was the only problem and taking off when at 1st gear, which would make his tires smoke white. The Gallardo clocked in at 1:09.466 on his 1st lap, causing pain in Hank and Jim. Kane pulled in, a smug look on his face that you just want to punch off of someone's face.
Kane them spoke up for once. “That is how you use the Gallardo LP750 Superleggera.”
Steve snapped out, “WHAT ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT! I know that is the Gallardo LP710 Superleggera tune from RKM's garage, and not a beat off. You can't steal their tune, change the spoiler and rims and say it is your own car, because they tuned it and did the work!”
Both members from Team Bianco laughed then Steve went quiet and looked at T.J.
“You can easily beat that, right?”
T.J. laughed “Like nothing, that will be the easiest thing to do.”
He ran to his car and took off, doing his practice lap like nothing, then he took off past the finish line. The car went by almost as fast as the Gallardo did, but was on the losing side for speed. The car was nearly an exact replica of the F430, but with more power and a little better handling and no stripe. Sure, the increase in power help the 458 FU2, but it didn't help him in this situation. His time wasn't sufficient enough at the best time of 1:10.202 2nd gear. T.J. entered the pit, sad. He pulled up and got out, quietly.
“Don't worry man. You did what you could and you aren't use to this track as much. Tami, your up.”
Team Bianco laughed again and George shouted in his laughter.
“That is a girl racer! I bet she won't even get under 1:20 in time per lap! HAHAHAHAHA!”
Tami went quietly in her car, like she shrugged off what they said and took her practice lap and took off past the finish line. The car went by quietly and not as fast as the Gallardo, but it soared the course like nothing, taking the turns easily like she was in the Indy 500 with an X2010. Team Bianco's laughter started to stop slowly, then suddenly they were quiet. The car was near perfect for cornering, turning on a dime and getting away with what no Lamborghini could ever get away with proving, that even for a chick racer, she can kick ass and take names. Her final time was 1:06.783 on her first lap. Team Bianco was just appalled. They didn't know what to say at the fact a chick car with less horsepower then the Gallardo kicked it's ass. She got out and giggled and looked at them.
“Got anymore trash talk boys, or does a cat have your tongue?”
“]DAMN! IF MY TRANSMISSION WAS ACTUALLY TUNED AND NOT STOCK, I MIGHT OF WON! DAMN RJ BEING LAZY DIDN'T HELP ME AT ALL! (Hint, Hint)”
George was silent and looked pissed and he got in his car and took off. He took his practice lap and went across the finish line. Everyone in Team Nero but Steve was shocked at it's speed when crossing it, going faster then the Gallardo did. It was faster then all of them but with better turning then the standard Lamborghini so it could take turns like a race car, but having some of the same traits of understeer. It's great acceleration out of corners is unlike any thing Team Nero ever saw except in Steve's Ezio, where he barely spun his tires when taking off, even from 1st gear with no traction control. This car is proving to be a hard foe to beat. His final time was clocked in at 1:04.527 on his 3rd lap. To gloat, he did a spin out like how they would in NASCAR and took a victory lap like he won, forgetting Steve still had a chance to race.
Everyone on Team Nero was quiet as Steve snuck off into his car and started it up suddenly, scaring everyone. Steve spun his wheels and open up a hidden module and suddenly turned on traction control, making his car speed off easily reaching 75 in a couple seconds. FLYING out of pit row and almost crashing when leaving, he was going around the track quickly. George was near the end of the track, about to go into pit lane, when Steve flew by him, scaring the crap out of him, making him crash head on at the small barrier between the track and pit entrance.
"You stupid, bloody ****!"
Steve's Ezio Auditore GT was going at great speeds, but at the first turn the car almost spun out, which would decommission the car. Steve noticed this and in the flick of his hands, he corrected it, making it become like a drift around the corner and he continues like it didn't happen. At the slow turn, Steve smiled and moved his hand to his module that no one knows of, except him and Tami, and he increased his traction control before the turn. He slowed down and took without spinning out, a feat that George and Kane thought he would, and turned it off after he was in 2nd gear. He then went threw the last turns perfectly, going across the finish line on his first lap at 1:00.612. He then did a quick 180 at the exit of pit row, not hitting the wall, and pulled into pit row backward and drove up to them. George and Kane didn't understand what happened and just had an amazed face, like they didn't believe what happened. Steve quickly put away his module and got out and leaned against his roof.
“Next time you want to even mess with us, make sure you know who you are messing with. Now get out of here before we start a pink slip race so I turn those great white cars in for some money. I could always use a new desk or a car”
The two members of Team Bianco left quickly. Tami goes over to Steve, and holds his hand.
“You think we will ever see them again?”
“Possibly... but if they do.... I think they will be bringing two more friends in a Countrach LP400, Countrach 25th Anniversary, or the Murciélago LP 640. Even the Diablo GT1 works Thankfully, we will have our last 4 members here in their F40, California, 599 and F430. Who knows.... I even want to see a Any Pagani Zonda here. I also would like to race against the Zonda LM.
"Why are you talking about just those cars?"
"Well, just in case we are bored or power goes out one day at the Hanger, I can tell you all a story from my past."

Add a response to this if you don't understand the review, and I will clarify the reviews below.
