RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Roj is so out of touch with popular stuff for youngsters over there

Yea, but the original is always best. :D
Because I'm not an annoying 10 year old that follows fads. :dunce:

The original is also no faster than a normal R33 anyway.
Speaking of R33's, I am amazed that one hasn't been done yet from you. :embarrassed: It's my favourite :embarrassed: Just make it yellow. :)

RJ has one he's not released yet. It's my favourite Skyline too. :D

You're gonna like my everyday Wangan cruiser then. Too bad I forgot the Wangan gear ratios :(

But don't you find it bit too whale like stock? In a 90s shootout review I did earlier in the week, I ranked the R33 second last next to a Evo 5 because it was such a pig.

Nope. The Evo V is one of my favourite Evo's too for that matter.

Taken from a recent convo I had:

My personal order is 8, 10, 6, 2, 3, 4, 5, 1, 9, 7.

To be honest, 6, 2 and 3 are somewhat tied in my mind. 6 because it does many things, 2 and 3 because...they were better than the 1st :boggled: Mainly through the extra speed they got over it.

For me it goes:

5, 6, 9, 8, 10, 4, 3, 7, 2, 1

And I think they're all great cars before you slate me for putting the original at the back of the line. :P

I think they're all great cars personally, it's just the 7 that's a bit weak for me. Of course, that doesn't subtract from the CT230R's superb ability at all :D The problem I have with the original is it's not powerful enough next to the others.

The first 3 Evo's don't have AYC, so compared to their Impreza counterparts, they're actually quite terrible. The Evo 3 does look badass though so that's why I rate it so highly. :D The 7 looks boring but it's still a capable car. Evo 8 to the rescue there.

Also I just noticed drag racing has it's own sub-forum now. Hurray!

I love how the conversations all stopped when I backed out

as long he sends me a silver chrome and a iris red pearl and send something to roj he gets it. otherwise it's mineee !

So, there's the ransom GT350GT, pay up or the Copen is gone.

20th Sep 2011 - Transmission & LSD settings.

Hi RoJ,

I just saw today that u made some adjustments on this car's LSD and gearing. The gearing makes sense to me, but the LSD, from what I see on the numbers (I have not tested this yet) aren't u trying to induce more understeer into it?

I'm sorry to ask, I am just so curious because your previous setup works wonderfully for me. I love it for being the best handling thing in my garage.
Planning to test the new setup tonight, and hope it makes even better.

He didn't change this car, he altered the Civic VTi-R. But the Teggy did get an update.

FF differentials tend to be a bit, shall we say, special.

Sometimes, settings that appear at first glance to cause more understeer actually reduce it; this was one of those cases.

Really? Cuz I still think talking to him is like talking to my very angry school principle.

How do you figure?

If I seem "angry"...

You don't know what angry is. At all.

Also. L1/R1 instead of L2/R2 go. L2/R2 don't seem to have been designed properly, they go from being if anything a bit too slow to suddenly giving you full signal. Which is bad, mmmkay.

 I figured that from when you had those little tuning theory bickers.

And I know what angry is, I've had Mafia bark down a mic at me, cramming just about every swear word known to man into every sentence.

But…I'm used to it…

See...

I ain't even mad bro.

See... Mafs doesn't get all that mad either.

This one TeamSpeak server admin I know however... Eesh.

But…I'm used to it…

Too bad, switch. Watch it work better.

I keep telling people...use the right thumbstick for throttle/brake. Great sensitivity easy to get part throttle, roll on the gas, ease into the brakes...course what do I know considering they call me Harvey Wallbanger!

 Fine.

Well, I'll do what people do with the X1. Start out with 400hp, slowly add to it. See if that'll help…I doubt it though

Only problem: no left foot braking.

Odd I've been driving in real life going on 30 years and the only time I remember using my left foot on a brake pedal was while building rpms with an automatic for drag racing and burnouts...not to mention you can still map brakes to L1 or L2 for use if you want.:D

Left foot braking in RWD/AWD cars can stabilize an otherwise loose car under braking, and do the opposite to a FWD car.

So it's extremely useful.
