RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Nope. Lap 114 out of 172 so far and yes, I know about the suspend race option. :P When you pit, it gives you an option to suspend the race, save and turn the game off. When you load the game back up, you're in the pits where you left it.

Ohh…*quietly swears* Dammit. I know you know about the option, I just don't know how it works. I gave up on Enduros ages ago. I bet you hate Suzuka now, don't you? I love it, which is why I will never do the 1000kms in it.

So how's the Kia? Awful? Or has it grown on you even more now than ever?

Oh, well basically:

- Pit in.
- Press suspend button when the pit menu appears.
- Wait for game to save and confirm that the game is saved.
- Hold PS button and quit game or turn console off.

Then when you want back in:

- Fire up GT5.
- Game takes you directly to the race menu, where you can either resume or quit the endurance race.
- If you resume, you appear back in the pits, like you were before suspending.

And yeah it's grown on me. It's still a Kia, but a Kia I can stand driving now.

Your way in front of me  I'm just in lap 59 now with the FTO!

The car is just...not worth my time, it has no appeal whatsoever...and sorry for double post

Sorry for saying this, I know you'd probably bury a knife in me, but……

Geezz, you on your period or something? What's with the temper?

Sorry……sorry…couldn't resist…and now, I really am going to be killed. :scared:

Or are you just drunk? :dopey:

Just got gold in the 600PP or under TT with an Jag XKR R Performance '02 running at 581PP and 1455kg.:D

At least PD gave us one new event where we're not stuck with a blah car.

I might have to post up my endurance-spec TC then.

Currently 141/172 on the Suzuka 1000km. Just 31 more laps until I can have fun in my GT86's. :D

You'll be done in……an hour? 2 minutes a lap give or take, 30 laps to do…if my maths is correct, yup, over an hour's time if nothing goes wrong.

Oi, you also have to do the 1/4 run in my R34. Or did you turn that request down? :(

It's just over 2 minutes per lap because of the racing hard tyres. Plus I'm having to write all my lap times down, so it'll be a little longer than an hour.

After the seasonals. :P

Well, that was a calculation done under the assumption that everything goes to plan. :P

Yes, yes. And when you get back, you'll receive a gift from me as a 'welcome back to the world of colour and not-Suzuka'! Though I don't know if you like shiny…:indiff:

btw there FT 86 II tune (diff and springs) work well for the 86 Tskuba time attack. just need to find some proper gearing.

edit: this tune here. like i said Use the Diff and Spring settings from this tune. it helps. i just need some better gearing lol.

I like shiny.

Also 147/172 now. Use this post and my last post to gauge how long it'll take to do the remaining 25 laps.

Good.

In a 'perfect' world, 50 minutes, give or take…erm……5 minutes in total.[/nerd]

And now…good night, 3AM here, I'm getting a bit drowsy.

Goddamn GT86 is not worth the effort...I remember driving it when I got given it free, and I have not touched it since. It's just...lacking in any interest

(i also installed Aero A parts incase anyone is wondering)

hey rkm tuners, lots is having a demo class that might be up your alley. class X unlimited pp on sports hard tires. i'm running a veyron on the touge, lets see you out there in an rkm beast, only hitch is you cant use a full customization trans.

The new seasonals are very fun, but also very easy.

GT86 Madrid drift trial - First try and I smash gold.
SSR7 drift trial - First try and I get gold.
GT86 Tsukuba time trial - First lap and I get gold, also I didn't do any stupid engine limiting. This was a legit 192bhp/1230kg GT86.
600PP Rome time trial - Gold after 3 laps in my NSX, which has 536PP.

The one part that kept screwing me on the Madrid Drift was the second section, that short quick drift had to be good and at high speed, other then that yea it was pretty easy over all.

Going to try that Clueless GT86? :dopey:
Maybe. :D

A Veyron on sports hards on the touge? That sounds like a pile-up waiting to happen. I'd love to get involved but the problem is I don't have time to play online. :indiff:

I guess I'm getting better as a drifter because none of the sections screwed me over. :sly::P

acctually my veyron behaves like an overweight impreza, well a 970hp 1800kg impreza.

Hi all

first time posting on here, although admittadly I have used the information gleened from these pages on more than a couple of occassions. Whenever I get stuck trying to make my corvette stay in a straight line outa corners or make my Godzilla behave I always found myself finding the best advice here.

So I thought that since Ive been using this tuning shop I'd better start contributing.

Here goes. (be gentle, first time an all)

Review of Alfa Romeo Brera Sky Window.

First impression BORING (never really liked alfa's if Im honest)

Turn in was horrible, acceleration wasnt great either, would keep up with my tuned mini cooper s, but only just!

So I decided to do a real "Top Gear" style test.

Firstly I chucked on some Racing Soft tyres cos I noticed that RKM had theirs fitted with RC soft, so to be fair I fitted it with the same to do all of the testing, both before the RKM tune and after.

So first off

Standard tune with RC soft, no oil change and all Driving aids OFF, ABS on 1.

0-100 Km/h 7.220sec
0-200 Km/h NA (didnt reach 200Km/h within 1000m run)
Max G-Force 0.78G
Max Speed 255.8 Km/h in 6th @ 6,000 Rpm
0-400m 15.290 sec
0-1000m 27.616 sec in 4th @ 6.200 Rpm

Time Trials, all time trials consist of only doing ONE flying lap on cold tyres to get a true understanding of how the cars perform.

Trial mountain: 1:39.214 sec
Madrid: 1:38.973 sec

All in all, bout what I expected, in stock tune with rc soft tyres it was respectable but not blistering fast, however, I noticed that the new tyres threw off my cornering a bit so I was experiencing a bit of oversteer coming into a few corners, but rhythm was easy to find.

Now for the RKM Alfa Brera Sky Window

0-100Km/h 4.081 sec (difference of 3.139 secs)
0-200Km/h 12.309 sec (difference of NA previous run didnt reach 200)
Max G-Force 1.22G (difference of 0.44G)
Max Speed 313.8 maxed out in 6th (difference of 58Km/h)
0-400m 12.019 (Difference of 3.271 sec)
0-1000m 21.441 in 6th @ 6,400 Rpm (difference of 6.175 sec)

Time Trials

Trial Mountain: 1:29.337 (difference of 9.877 sec)
Madrid: 1:27.107 (difference of 11.866 sec)

Absolutley different car second time round with the RKM tune, you guys took a boring red Alfa and made it into an astounding, scary little red Alfa. Turn in is sharp and precise, scalpel like, acceleration is great, thanks to all that engine and body work it now keeps up with my RKM tuned R34 round Trial Mountain, and now with the suspension and gearbox suited to the car it not only hooks up, it grabs hold of the tarmac and gives everything else on the track a bloody nose. its like little red ridding hood, absolutley innocent looking and unassuming until she removes her red cape to reveal the two shotguns and Uzi and a fist full of grenades. It'll give anything a run for its money in the right hands. was that and Aston Martin that I just RAN OVER, I think so, cant tell, its too small in the mirror...
