Way to go Rypien   Nice time mate! Nice move up the table also Max E, damn you can't rest on your laurels in any of these challenges or you quickly find yourself on a rapid slide down the leaderboard :nervous: Might have to take Mr P's lead at get back to it as soon as I get a free moment!! :D

Cheers Guys ;) :burnout:

Awesome time Rypien! :cheerful: My rein of nearly 4 months (I posted my 54.809 on 5th Dec! ) has finally come to an end. I'm definitely gonna give this another shot. I haven't tried yet using my Momo wheel, so now is a good time to have a try.

I'll try out those settings of Alla Aston Villa ;) as well.

I'll be back! :darkside: you can count on that!

I've no doubt that GVX will edge his nose in front yet again :)

I had some more attempts and can see little areas of improvement, but getting all of the sectors together is another story. I've really been hitting the track in my RX7 LM and can see a 57 on the horizon soon *i hope*.

Just added another 'club 54' member onto the list.

STOP PRESS - Gasman has just pulled out one hell of a lap

😈 56.666 😈

He has been fiddling with various set ups over at the House of GT and has blitzed the 787B with one awesome run. I think that he will be taking a break from the rotaries (something to do with an omen 666 :P ).

Well done Gasman!

Edging ever so closer...better time but still no cigar!!!
changed my set-up to a slightly softer one and have the 787 down to this-
T1 - 16.511
T2 - 33.661
Total Lap - 55.195

I've been up on the ghost but each time I overcook it somewhere, want a 54 its driving me crazy :banghead: 🤬

Still no improvement with the RX-7 either!!!

Cheers ;) :burnout:

Almost there Prancing Horse, i bet that you can taste it :cheeburga It will make it all the more sweeter when you do crack the big 54!

I had another session today and was running very consistent sub 55.5's and was up on my ghost on a couple of occasions but like PH i overcooked it as the pressure mounted. I fiddled with my set up a little bit, but in the end i went back to my original one that i last posted here. As for my RX7 LM .... i'm very close to a 57 and i'm aiming to get in some more runs with a revised set up soon. I'm pretty happy with my consistency in the first two sectors, but need to get my last third of the track a little quicker.

keep at it boys, but remember this is supposed to be fun ;) :P

Hiya u lot :D

Anyways, i managed a PB of 0'56.663 :) Using Rypien's settings :D (Thanks Rypien :) :) )

Hope i can improve on this time and get into the "55 Club" :D

Spent about 3/4 hr using the 787B last night. First time using the Momo wheel and things looking quite promising with some low 55's.

Unfortunately for me I'm down on BHP as my second 787B has now done 550 km's so my hp is 975 and dropping by the lap. May need to try and get a new one from somewhere.

Nice run Gasman! ;)

This has got me all pumped up again, especially after seeing the awesome time posted by Rypien. Only problem is I started my game over, so now I only have 7 cars in my garage and the 787B isn't one of 'em. AHHHH!!!!! That set-up sounds awesome, wish I could try it out!

Actually, do u guy's think i'll need a new 787b to get into the 55sec range? Its only like 20Bhp difference....

~Zade.

The differance between the 964hp and the 984hp engine is not really worth worrying about mate. I personally would not worry about getting a newer 787B. ;)

oh yeah sorrry Rypien. was using the 787b.

could be better but i keep losing speed going into and out of the 1st overpass section.....gonna keep tryin....

More Kaya better driving

Looks like things are slowing to a crawl here at the 'Rotary Day'. :(

Its had a very good run, and i'd like to thank every single person who participated from all over GT cyberspace. From its very inception over at the GTF to its explosion over here at the GTP i've had a ball. :D I've learnt a hell of a lot about tuning cars for GT3 and pretty much know Midfield like the back of my hand now.

Times which i never thought that i could do were acheivable with the help of other 'rotary day' participants. The competitiveness was there, but it was definately a friendly and helpfull environment to run GT3 in. Looking at the timesheet it was great to see some close racing with similarly matched cars, and i'm sure that most of you enjoyed your time in Mazdas finest (and at the 'club 55' bar!)

This thread is by no means 'dead'. Feel free to continue posting times or updates and i'll be popping in from time to time to update the timesheet as neccesary. I'll be concentrating more on my OLR events, but i'm sure that the odd rotary run will still keep me up from time to time.

Thank you all very much for providing me with some great GT3 moments.

cheers
;)

:D Its been a pleasure Rypien...enjoyed this challenge/race thread heaps, good job mate. Who knows, may still find some time one day to finally crack into the 54's one day so I'll guess I'll be seeing you guys then!!!

Cheers :) :burnout:

I know I'm not giving up Rypien, I'm still trying to get into the 56 club :D
Thank you for doing this thread, your the one who has done a good job. Heck, great job!!
And I will be posting times here in the future, just love them Mazdas.

Had some time to get some laps off in the RX-8, took a nice red one from the arcade mode and preceeded to do some laps.

heres my best so far:
1:25.079

*it was an arcade spec car so i dont know the hp.

I really like this one so i'm going to get a few more runs on the board with it. a 1:24 doesnt seem out of the question :D

Hey HR1865 ;)

Great time in the arcade rotary beast. Never really given it much of a go myself, but will definately have to drag her out for a few laps when time permits.

Look forward to seeing you crack into the 1'24.xxx's.

Had a bit more track time today in between my Tech & Talent 2 commitments and my Cobra around Midfield.

Took the RX-8 for a spin again and managed a best time of:

1:24.442

That was pushing it a bit i reckon, maybe a few tenths can come off but it was a pretty smooth lap. :D

Just to compare Mazdas new Normally Aspirated car to the previous twin turbo, i decided to take the RX-7 RZ out as well. Heres the results.

1:22.283

Quite alot quicker, them turbos must help quite a bit as well as the RX-7 weighing a little less.
Both cars where run on the Arcade mode, in the "A" garage.

Might try my hand at a Version III RX-7 Next time....
:burnout:

:embarrassed: btw its HR186"S" not 186"5" :embarrassed:

Hey, I'm new here and have been working on reading through this thread and thought I would post my best so far with the 787b.Right now my best is a 57.895.I'm still tweaking on my suspension and may work some more on my gearing.I am confident I can get 56's hopefully I can get in the 55's.

heya Dak. Good to see another rotary on the track. :)

The 787B is one hell of a car, and if you can get the right settings for your style of driving then it will serve you very well on this track. Nice time mate, and i look forward to following your progress

Rypien........the last 3 digits in your best time are the same 3 digits representing my birthdate :D

I guess I'll get back into this and try to get a sub-minute time in the Arcade 787B, since I am still not far enough into my new save to get one in Sim mode.
