how many avatars do you have lotus350 ?  :D

Thanks for posting your set up IforceV8. I can't wait to give it a go to see what it can do to cover up my driver inadequacies :P Your 57 second run just shows what a car like the RX7 LM is capable of in the right hands (and that goes for your NWM team mate hypersport as well ;) ).

I won another blue #7 RX7 today and decided to use some settings that slowpoke put me onto for my 600hp model. I decided to stretch the gears a bit and use them on my fully modified version with a good result. I ran fairly consistent 58.xxx's with a new PB set at 58.152. Its not much of an improvement over my old PB of 58.174 but i'll take it any which way i can get it ;)

Now, i'd better grab some paper to scribble down IforceV8's set up :)

Lots and lots  It's good to have a change of avatar every once in a while :P :D

BTW new PB for me , only 1/10 better mind you but edging closer to the doors of the 55 club 😈 new time - 56.330 :)

Forget the 55 club it's getting kinda crowded in there and there's a long cue for the bar. On the other hand the 54 club has plenty of room if you've got the speed. :sly:

nevermind p.h., i'm going after 54 with the 787b. after that, if i can somehow pull it out of my ass, i'll chase the rx-7 times. but that's a big if.

I'm back! yes and so soon ! :D
I got a new hot :fire: time for you Rypien the replay looks awesome  :D 55 CLUB HERE I COME! 😈

New PB of ....... 55.753  i'm catching up 😈

Who's buying me a drink then ? or is the 1st one on the house? :D

it amazes me how you have time to get in enough laps to run hot times with 4 kids and another avid gt3 player in the house. :wide:

fully modded 787b

what's the rpm for the peak hp and the rpm for the peak torque?
and what is the stock ratio for 6th gear and the stock final drive ratio?
please answer as soon as possible

If you want to restore any cars settings to original just go to "change parts" and select the part you want to change. This will work on any car, even race cars with only a race susp.or gearbox.I think the peak Hp for a 787B is 9K.

I dont spend that long on it at one time i usually grab the odd 1/2 hour here and there :) i got my new time 20 min into a session and saved and turned off until another time 😈

Congrats to the newest 'club 55' member lotus350  I'm looking forward to taking your 787B for a spin or two ;)

Happy Happy Joy Joy

I've just finsihed a great session of GT3 where i was using a suspension set up put forward by Allavilla from the House of GT forums. Running very consisten 55's now and i can still see a little improvement.

New best time with a fully modified 787B -

55.268 :D

2.946
5.910
7.059
3.720
4.658
7.985
3.238
2.459
4.721
7.155
5.377

tried last night to knock my time down and i got a 55.963 fairly early on (it's not much of an improvement, but it got me by prancing horse :D) anyway, i was goin lap after lap after lap and after about 50 frickin laps, i realized my ghost was pulling away from me on the straightaway after the first big sweeper even when i pulled the turn better. i was like "what the ****??" and then it hit me, dumbass that i am, that i needed an oil change. i backed out of run & setting and saw my horsepower down to 908. i had lost 50 hp. i actually ran a 56.092 in this condition which means i surely can hit 55.500 with 964 hp. anyway, by the time i figured it out, my wife was pissed that i spent no time with her and as bad as i wanted back onto the track, i had to bite the bullet and turn off the ps2. what a crummy night. i actually could'nt sleep because i wanted to run so bad. why did i have to go and do something stupid like get married :)

anyway, rypien, please post my new time 55.963. thanks.

No worries mate. ;)

I spent a heap of time yesterday in the 787B as well and am now running lots of mid to low 55's.

55.470 ....... 55.300 ....... 55.283 ....... 55.274 .......

55.198

54's do not seem like an impossibility anymore as i compared my sectors from my two best runs -

55.268 (16.268 / 33.354 )
55.198 (16.427 / 33.581 )

If i could get my first sector of my best run and combine it with my last sector of my second best run then i'd be just into the 54.xxx's.

The following set up for the 787B is based HEAVILY on ones posted by Gasman and Allavilla over at the house of GT -

6.0 / 9.0
60 / 55
8 / 8
10 / 10
3.5 / 1.8
0.0 / -1.0
2 / 6

22/20
20 / 20 / 10

2.768
1.702
1.141
0.835
0.683
4.999
37

1.00/1.15
ASM 0
TCS 3

Gasman and Allavilla also have 787B times added to the timesheet as well :)

rypien, could you post my new time? i know the improvement is minimal but it just so happens that i have a great deal of respect for prancing horse and i would enjoy being ahead of him,if even for a short while.

Hey Max E, thanks man but I hate to tell you this...just started sorting out a set-up for my new 787 and ran a 55.885 :D . The best part is that I'm consistently at least 4-5 tenths up on this ghost at T2 but I keep pushing that little bit too hard at the last tunnel :( , its only a matter of time and I'll have a clean run to post...I really, really want into the 54's....... :burnout:

Cheers ;)

Yes!! :D finally took a chunk out of my personal best!
Best Lap is now -

T1 - 16.453
T2 - 33.724
Total Lap - 55.364

Nice and clean (kept the replay)

Here's the setting I used for this run -

Car - Mazda 787 964 BHP, T8 tyres.
Spring Rate Front - 16.4 Rear - 14.8
Ride Height - 55mm Front and Rear.
Damper Bound Front - 8 Rear - 8
Damper Rebound Front - 8 Rear - 8
Camber Front 5.0 Rear 2.5
Toe Angle Front - 0.5 Rear 0.0
Stabilizer Front - 7 Rear - 7
Brake Balance Front - 24 Rear - 20
Lsd INT - 20 Accel - 40 Decel - 20
Stock Gear Ratio's set at 36
Maximum Downforce Front 1.00 Rear 1.25
ASM - off
TCS - off

I can finally smell those 54 sec runs now! :smilewink

i'll try your settings p.h. unfortunately, i'm a hell of alot better at driving the cars than tuning them.

Getting close there Prancing Horse ;)

Gasman has just done an absolute flyer, and i've kept my same set up but improve my racing lines and have a new best of -

55.069 (16.360 / 33.223)

I need a 54 soon or i'll go insane! 😈

ok, much better running tonight essentially with jayjitsu's settings plus a little tailoring to suit my style

Max E. - 55.549
this run is as clean as the virgin mary's underpants.

i just can't forsee hittin 54'. i'm either missing something settingwise or there some corner that my line is wrong through. anyway, that's it for now.

Drumroll please ...................................................

54.721!

I've never put so many laps into a single car/track as i have for this one. Not long after my last post here i watched some motorsports on TV and then sat down to some GT3. On lap 21 i finally managed to get into the 54's and i'm as happy as a pig in ****. :D

I really have to give alot of credit to Allavilla and Gasman for putting me onto the 'softer' approach to suspension set ups.

I'm sure that GVX will return and be aiming for mid 54's now

I've got my replay saved and its a clean run (i was more nervous watching the repaly looking for mistakes then actually drving on a good run).

I'll be sending my replay toGasman and also OldTimer from the GTF will be gettting a copy as part of a package that i'm sending to him soon.

Now i'm off to take a break from GT3 for a few hours before loading up the RX7 LM for another crack at the 57 second mark.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

54.721!

that is one sweet time rypien ! congats on 1st place man
btw: are you still using the last set up you posted or a new one ? gonna try again on this today , coz i'm rapidly moving down the rankings , laters

Thanks for the kind words mate. No doubt any number of 55 club drivers will better it. Wonder if Wity and GVX will have another go?

I'm still in shock

BTW - i used the last lot of settings that i posted. ;)

trying your set up now and it does seem very smooth , i'll put a few runs in and see if i can put some pressure on the front runners , laters

again what a lap you got ! outstanding man cya .

The 787B really seems to like the 'softer' approach to suspension tuning. I was really able to be a bit more aggressive on the ripple strip in the sweeping left hander after the first tunnel without 100% chance of spinning off as with my 'harder' set up. Full kudos have to go to Allavilla and Gasman for pointing me in the right direction.

Took my RX7 LM (979hp model) out for a quick 10 laps with a 'softer' approach and hit a new PB of 58.078 (17.216 / 35.083). I'm still aiming to improve my 787B time, and getting into the 57 second mark in the RX7 is also very high on the agenda.

back to it :D but i'd better go and grab a bite to eat first :cheeburga

Good job Rypien now you can take a turn on the booze and girls instead if just GVX by himself  Make sure you tell us what club 54 is like :D

The drinks are ok, but it is the naked serving barmiads that really make the club. :D  Have not been able to find GVX yet, i think that he is passed out somewhere
