Because of this threads obvious popularity I am sticking it so it will remain at the top. Perhaps for a month posts may cease, but it seems they wil come back strong later.

Congradulations!

Heya Talentless ;)

GT40racer - shaving some more time off i see  What settings are you currently using? Probably the biggest differance to times can be acheived threw really trying to be aggressive on the sweeping left hander after the first tunnel. Ride the ripple and power out for some serious PB bashing. I found that by softening your Spring Rates helped with the 'ripple rides'. Also, don't forget that quite a few of us also took the S Class 787B out for laps as well :)

here is the first GT Concept time for this thread as well :D

Mazda RX8 LM
1'04.353

Have done some high 1'03.xxx's but forgot to save em the other night

Well for that run i used
15.0/16.5
60/65
7/7
9/9
3.5/3.0
.5/0
5/5
24/20
LSD: 10/15/15
3.800
auto 36
1.00/1.00
ASM 3
TCS 5

ASM is a real performance killer. Don't really know many people who actually use it.

54.666 is definatly beatable, I ran a 54.688 the other day, on that same .688 lap i was 3 car lenghts behind my 54.635 ghost after the first sector, then entering the second split I got 1 car lenghts ahead of it, but in the last haripin I blew it, the car understeered, just a tad, the .635 ghost caught up with me and outdragged me by about half a car length.

I dont have 10200 on one of my 787bs for nothing, i know this car,

too bad the .635 ghost isnt clean

I did a 1:02.734 in my RX-7 GT-C LM (GT2, obviously) at Midfield. Well, I still have a PSX.

Great to have another GT2 car running here at Midfield. Been a while since the buzz of a rotary graced this mighty track.

Nice time in the RX7 too pupik

I've been really busy with other OLR commitments. With soooooo amny quality races being run all over the place, its hard to say no to any of them :D . I've still got Gasmans fastest ever sim 787B replay, and Arcos fastest ever arcade 787B replay stashed on my memory card so it might be time to sit down and have another crack with the quad rotors. Don't like my chances of getting close to either of these blistering runs though  :( (but i'll have fun trying! :smilewink

Never been much for OLR but when i saw the lap time in my records and the ones posted, I thought I'd include it. I do the occasional spot race, but mostly, I post on GTP or GTF from work!

Ah, the dreaded four letter word appears yet again .........

W O R K 😈

That Yellow RX-7 lm from gt2....1'06.285, i dont have the replay because i was at my friends house but it was 100% clean

Current Rotar/F1 Hybrid times.....

RX-8/94s stock hp with rx-8 t8s - 1'06.533
RX-7 LM/94s stock hp with rx-7lm t8s -58.009
787B/94s full hp with 787B t8s-52.748

Ryp, i think at the bottom of the scoreboard have these hybrid times as to not differ the viewers of the thread from seeing what the great guys and gals accomplished with the legal rotars and not hybrids :)

T1: 0´16.320
T2: 0´33.250
SF: 0´54.299

horsepower according to the value in the settings area: 984bhp

replay is available (PAL), i´ll post it the next days

WOW! You sure know how to make an entrance mate. Incredible time in the quad rotor Flinx.

Looks like its back to the drawing board for the rest of us  Its been a while since i have run in the 787B, and i doubt even if i ran another 1000 laps that i could get close to your blistering time mate.

BTW - great to see some rotary hybrids on the track. Cheers Zero

as promised, the replay.
i also included the setup file for the 787B.

Can't wait till my travelling memory card returns from its current journey so that i can send it away with a file of your run Flinx. Without an x-port i have to rely on fellow aussies to transfer data and downloads for me  .

Looking forward to hitting the track with your ghost loaded up mate. I've got gasmans flying 54.666 replay here, and really enjoyed the many runs i had against him

For anyone interested, here is my 787B replay.

its PAL.

Hey I got your file Rypien  I will give it chase when GTD is over or maybe sooner! I have switched to MT since doing my time in the 787 so you never know, I might just be able to shave off a few tenths :smilewink

:gnasher:

GTD Has sure got a big chunk of the OLR community hooked :D . I'll definately have to get myself into the next one when it comes around.

I've yet to sit down and have a good crack at Flinx's awe-inspiring run, but when i do i'll be sucking in alot of his exhaust fumes thats for sure :odd: Bloody fast europeans :P ;)

Actually Lotus, i've just recently gotten hold of yours and MrP's Vertigo runs at Midfield II that you made available for download over at GT.de. Been having a good time chasing your ghosts, and its actually made Mid II a bit more enjoyable. Strange how Midfield is my favorite track, yet in reverse one of my worst

If you are interested, i've got a few more replays for download if your and your better half (or is he the worse half  ) feel the need to get away from the GTD for a bit of a ghostbusting break.
Help yourself -

:D

That run of Flinx's is   I'll try that one after I've tried yours first. ;) :P

Good to hear you having fun running midfield II in the Gillet it was fun I enjoyed doing that one. Happy chasing! how much faster than me was he again? I hope not much 😈

Been having PS2 and xport problems recently but now it's all sorted I'll take a trip over to gtn for a few ghosts to chase thanks ;)

Btw: your pub is in need of some atmosphere :smilewink

 I'm one happy bannana. You would not read about what just happened.

After downloading Flinx's awesome run i decided it was time to dust off the 984hp 787B and hit Midfield while the track was clear. I was really glad to find the car just as i remembered her, and found myself running low 55.xxx's after only a handfull of laps. Rattled off a few high 54.xxx's and was getting a few ideas from watching Flinx's ghost from my cockpit. Found my gearing to be a bit of a problem as Flinx was putting a car lenght on me during gear changes. Fiddled with the gears a bit, and chaged the camber so that my front was less than back and the car seemed to like it with a new PB of 54.674  . Was feeling pretty good (even if the improvement was only VERY small). I knew i could do a bit better so i hit the track again for a more concerted effort and although i'm still a fair bit off Flinx's time i did managed to mirror Gasmans effort

54.666 😈

The car feels good, but i know i need to improve my lines/braking on the left hander before the last tunnel.

Interestingly, comparing Flinx, gasman, and myself, the splits would make for a interesting race -

I'd lead into the first split, Gasman into the second, and Flinx tearing away at the end.

54.666 (16.285/33.205) - Me
54.666 (16.299/32.994) - Gasman
54.299 (16.287/33.217) - Flinx

:D With eyes getting bleery, and thumbs getting numb i wanted to have a few more laps of GT before going to bed for some bueaty sleep (god knows i need it! :odd: ).

While the 787B was cooling off and getting a much needed oil change, i hit the track with the RX7 LM (600hp with oil change and T8's) and came away with a new PB of -

RX7 Lm (600hp)
1'03.192 (19.387/38.313)

Then it was time for some quick blasts in the 787B before i dropped off into la la land. Am very happy with this new PB, and with the .666 run still fresh on the mind i can see a bit more comming off it if all goes well. Got the replay saved and will make it available when next my travelling memory card passes by someone with an x-port.

787B (984hp)
54.554 (16.321/33.011)

Suprised to see how i was slow on the first split, had a good middle section, and continued my poor form on the home stretch. Still, when all is said and done, i've had fun tonight :D

BTW - here are the settings i'm currently using in the 787B. Changed the camber and gearing a bit.

Spring Rate - 6.0/9.0
Ride Height - 60/55
Damper Bound - 8/8
Damper Rebound - 10/10
Camber - 1.5/3.5
Toe - 0.0/-1.0
Stabiliser - 2/6
Brakes - 22/20
LSD - 20/20/10
1 - 3.146
2 - 2.150
3 - 1.576
4 - 1.266
5 - 1.053
F - 3.259
A - 24
Downforce - 1.00/1.15
ASM - 0
TCS - 2

Wow dude, that's pretty awesome. I wish I could keep up with you guys, but I am not that dedicated to GT3.

Hey, is Midfield in GTC? It'd be fun to take the RX-8 LM out for a few laps to enter times here.

~LoudMusic

Heya LoudMusic ;) . Yes Midfield is in GTC, and i've already submitted my RX8LM time :D . I think i've actually got my RX8 run in x-port format. So if anyone wants it, then just ask. :)

Ryp....F094/s-787 was 984hp
94/s-RX7LM was 600hp

DAMN I just remember that my hybrid replays were on my memory card that got stolen:mad:!

Just dropping off a couple of x-port replays if anyone is interested.

One is of my updated 984hp 787B run (54.554), and the other is my 600hp RX7 LM run (oil change and T8's).

enjoy.
:)
