You may avoid a modification, but let me know which one whenever you post it. However, you can only submit one time per car. So submitting a 6'55.xxx @ 198hp and later a 6'36.xxx @ 252hp wouldn't be allowed. The faster time would replace the slower, regardless of the car's power.

The power to weight ratio is a good idea, although the leaderboard for higher P/W ratios will look hilarious... with the Dodge RAM against the Fiat 500s. Still, I'm going to consider it. Thanks for that.

I managed to get a few runs in today. Here are the times:

6'46.887 - Superhero Wally - BMW M3 CSL '03 - 392HP/1260KG
6'51.867 - Superhero Wally - Honda NSX Type R '02 - 335HP/1155KG
6'56.993 - Superhero Wally - Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A '02 - 345HP/1155KG
6'57.307 - Superhero Wally - Amuse S2000 R1 '04 - 290HP/1019KG
7'21.475 - Superhero Wally - Mercedes Benz 190 E 2.5-16 EVO II '91 - 271HP/1219KG

These runs were all done with stock suspensions which I will continue to use because I don't like the sports suspension, unless the car is pre-equipped with a sports suspension.

Also I have replays of all the laps, but the M3. I forgot to save it before I exited. :banghead:

@ Diego & Downforce - The RX7 isn't one of my favorite cars but I run it again anyway.

7'03.244 - Jay - Mazda RX7 Spirit Type A '02 - 336hp/1155kg
6'52.203 - Jay - Tom's X540 Chaser - 360hp/1355kg
7'56.014 - Jay - Honda Civic SIR II '91 - 179hp/977kg

More improvement than I expected with the RX7. :dopey:
The Chaser was great fun for such a big heavy car.
As for the Civic, one of my all time GT favourites. Awesome! 👍

Lo and behold, as expected, Wally has come along to humiliate us all

Awesome times Wally and Jay... I have to say I concede with you on the suspension bit, but some cars do need one, and I prefer driving muscle cars and the like, so those always do.

I'm still to put up a list of the cars that will allow a gear box change. I made a short list last night and this week I'll be posting the complete list. In short, it's cars that reach easily their top speed in stock form.

Leaderboard updated.

Last nights runs...

7'04.411 - Jay - Nissan SkylineGTR M-Spec Nur '02 - 400hp/1390kg
7'24.691 - Jay - Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 - 330hp/1287kg (No Supercharger)
7'02.178 - Jay - Audi RS6 '02 - 516hp/1619kg
7'06.191 - Jay - Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R '00 - 402hp/1432kg

I run the Camaro with a racing gearbox as the stock box only run to 125mph.
A close ratio box was 108mph so I used a Racing box set on Auto 12 @155mph.

That's exactly how you should've run it. I've just finished writing up a list of the cars in which you can add a FC gearbox, and that's one of them. I think people will realise we've been chatting on msn. :dopey: Nice going, P1 in the 400-650hp leaderboard!

Anyhow, good call on the non-supercharger use. You're supposed to do the NA tuning on supercharged cars.

And Leaderboard updated

Here are some more times:

6'07.560 - Superhero Wally - Cadillac Cien '02 - 836HP/1319Kg
6'41.515 - Superhero Wally - Shelby Series 1 Supercharged '03 - 377HP/1129Kg
6'42.388 - Superhero Wally - BMW M3 CSL '03 - 392HP/1260Kg - Updated
6'43.623 - Superhero Wally - Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C5) '00 - 444HP/1282Kg
7'08.838 - Superhero Wally - Shelby Mustang GT 350R '65 - 358HP/1153Kg - No Sports Exhaust. The Stock one sounds much better.
7'17.403 - Superhero Wally - Clio Renault Sport V6 24V '00 - 269HP/1214Kg

6'12.752 - Superhero Wally - Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car '98 - 479HP/1109Kg - This was done using the Racing gearbox which I really think should be used for this car since the stock one only goes to 155mph, which is ridiculous in such a car. So Diego if you want to accept this time wonderful, if not well then that's fine too.

Also Diego, I believe you should add the TVR T350C and Tamora to the list of cars that can use race spec gearboxes as these top out at 160mph which is also not a problem to reach for these 2 cars. With nearly 400hp in top tune for this challenge and the T350C only weighing about 1100Kg with the stage 1 weight reduction and the Tamora about 1000Kg, so they bounce off the limiter quite a bit.

Yer right... I was looking for muscle cars and smaller ones when I compiled the list, but that's right, those three in stock are quite limited, with a bit of power they can be extremely limited.

Thanks for the further humiliating times and suggestions... I'll have a go during the weekend with some other cars.

EDIT: Do you have a MaxDrive? Mine is coming in the mail, but I'd like to see some fo your replays whenever I get mine. Not that I don't believe you, mind you; I just want to see your braking points and style. :)

No, I don't have a max drive, but I can upload them to you tube or a free file sharer. Any preference on which laps.

The Shelby Mustang would be nice :D

By the by, I went over the Power-to-weight ratios, and you'd take P1 in ever category... so I'll wait on that one.

As usual, weekends are my best time to play. Sadly, I didn't sleep much this morning, and I nodded off a bit during gameplay.

6'40.780 - -Diego- - Nissan R390 GT1 '98 - 479hp/1109kg
7'01.384 - -Diego- - Nismo Skyline GT-R R-Tune - 472hp/1372kg

7'54.449 - -Diego- - Toyota MR2 V Edition '02 - 174hp/950kg

Wally, what settings are you running in the Nissan R390 GT1? My time is more than 30 second slower than yours!

Nod off in the middle of a lap and get a record time of 1hr32'16.735 👍 In a Skyline!

I might be able to beat that one!

Here's the link to the Shelby video. You tube wasn't cooperating, so I uploaded to a free host, hopefully it doesn't take too long download.

As for the settings on the R390 GT1, I just lowered the ride height to 75mm and set the auto setting for the transmission to 22. I left everything else at default settings. Also I shift at around 6250-6500RPM to keep the engine in the power band.

I just softened the suspension and got a 9 second improvement. I did leave the auto setting where it was, so I'll re-run it at 22 then. Thanks for the upload.

6'54.959 - Venari - Aston Martin DB9 - 488hp/1504kg - No TCS

This is using the stock ratios which are for the autobox car.
The suspension setup is based on the real car too, at least for camber: 0.2 / 2.0
RH 115 /120
Da 7 / 6

Difficult to know whether manual ratios would help unless you tried. I found a couple of 3rd gear corners I was arriving at a bit quick, even with my ingrained sports tyre braking points.

The Aston is, however, extremely sweet around here with this setup. It's like a big pussycat, and if it does step out of line if you're quick you can catch it easily without loss - and if you're a little off, you can still usually control the big opposite lock swing which ensues. :D

For reference:
Auto, ZF 6HP26 - 4.17 / 2.34 / 1.52 / 1.14 / 0.87 / 0.69 // FDR 3.154
Manual, Graziano - 3.154 / 1.974 / 1.435 / 1.148 / 0.935 / 0.775 // FDR 3.54

And the new DBS packs the same ratios, but with a 3.7 FDR.

For my first time...Th3 Skyline!!!!!!
7'00.129 - amemyarz - Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nür '02 - 400hp/1390kg - TCS ON

That's an awesome time, Venari... thaks for joining! So wait, you're speaking of sports tyres, but your time says racing tyres... or am I reading it wrong?

Yours too amemyarz... dammit, my Skyline time it improved! For future reference, you have to delete the space left between COLOR= and "DarkOrange, as in the rest of the colours, so it'll read like so:

7'00.129 - amemyarz - Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nür '02 - 400hp/1390kg - TCS ON

Awesome time = Car, not Venari. :D

And I drive a lot for fun on the 'ring, but on S2s, not R3s. This run was R3s, as requested.

Just so you all know, I'm going to be re-making the leaderboard into Power-to-weight ratio, rather than just power. I will do so this coming week, some day.

6'22.115 - -Diego- - Cadillac Cien '02 - 836hp/1319kg
6'31.697 - -Diego- - Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car '98 - 479hp/1109kg - Updated

hey diego, havnt been able to get any times done for a while, have been rather busy. seems the bar is set a tad higher now wally has joned the ranks. i will have to try to rise to the occasion.
on that note, heres to hoping mr hamilton doesnt get any more points for the remainder of the f1 season.

I'll drink to that... or not. I root for McLaren, regardless of the driver.

Wally's times are awesome, I'll give you that; take a look at his replay. I go for quantity over quality :sly:

i really dont think he deserves the championship in his first year, as stupid as that sounds :banghead:
back to the thread, im working two jobs at the moment, so if im not at one im at the other, and one is at a pub, so im drunk alot lately, and frankly my drunk times arent worth the time i take to run em. so ive stopped doing that. :dunce:
i would really like to dethrone wally though, as unlikely as that may be :sly:
im crowning wally as the new lewis hamilton of the gtp spot races board. just shows up and starts winning everything.

Leaderboard updated, in power to weight ratio now. Wally still takes a scary lead, but we're mnore evenly spaced now. I even retain P1 in two categories!

Thanks for the times!

Wally: How'd you manage to get the Skyline Nür at 15hp below what I got it?

Everyone else: Would everyone else agree we should only allow Wally to run in cars below 50hp?

i think people are taking hp reading from different parts in the game, as they seem to change alot from where u take them, i could be wrong.

Wally: How'd you manage to get the Skyline Nür at 15hp below what I got it?

I was wondering the same thing. I upgraded it as much as the rules allow, sport exhaust, cpu chip, and stage 1 turbo. I thought maybe an oil change, but when I did that it gave me 404hp. So I don't know. The RX-7 Spirit R Type A has the same issue. Jay, Downforce and myself each have a different horsepower rating for this car. 336hp(Jay) , 339hp(Downforce), and 345hp(Myself). I take all my ratings from the settings screen, orange print in the top right corner.

That's where you're supposed to take the rating, so it's okay. However, the less hp your cars get, the better it looks for the rest of us :P

I'm thinking it has to do more with the fact that we've changed the oil at some point during ownership of the car(s) but since they've been run, we're not re-changing it before doing the trial.

Would anyone have a problem if we make it so the cars may have their oil changed from now on? You may redo and update on your times if so. I'm asking this because at one point or another, we all do the oil change on the cars, especially if they're used, and much especially if we like them. So if someone likes the DeLorean, but since you can't buy it or rewin it, you'd be screwed. If we allow for oil change, all cars are valid.

The hp that counts will still be the one on the top right corner of the settings screen.
