I'm also like that lol, just fascinated by graphics.
But people always act as if graphics aren't important for games nowadays...

(Ja toschi lublu graphic)-yeah that's my take on Russian, I hope you got what I tried to say.:dopey:

Ha-ha! Well done man! :dopey:

Tell me how it isn't important when about 80% percent of all information comes to us through eyes! :) It's just what you see in it. GT is very artistic and beautiful game. But most importantly - only PD can make game looks like real, only console itself is a limitation here. So that's why I'm always talking about graphics - because it's possible.

BIG sorry for off-topic.

I'm using the money for a Vita, and spending it on a s30 Z. Yeah, in the long run, it'll cost more than the Vita, but the experiences will be much more worth it.

Besides, it's tough already for me to find time to play GT5. Sure, a Vita would be awesome as a gift (even more so WHEN there's a GT title for it), but I'm not dropping a dime of my own on a Vita because I'd much rather do the real thing.

Let's face it. New PSP, new GT title, end of story. Gran Turismo has, and always will, sell consoles. Even handhelds.

It's quite hard to find some time to play GT5 properly with a wheel and everything, so a decent portable title would be very good indeed, however the only thing that still amuses me in GT5 is the weight transfer feel at a FFB wheel, and no controller can replicate that properly.

So no, I won't get a Vita.

I'm not okay with it. If they make a Vita version we will wait even longer for the next version of GT and any fixes that still need to be done to GT5.

There is not much sense in fixing GT5 anymore, its a 7 month old game and it has peaked already.
And a new PSV game can keep us going until GT6 and will give PD some more money to make GT6 an even better game. So what if it takes more time, it'll be rewarding for both sides. And I'm damn sure Sony is trying to get PD to make a GTPSP to give the PSV some sales.

Expect Vita games to look somewhere between last year PS2 games and first year PS3 games.
Why? They should look better than any PS3 game, the processing power and memory per pixel is much higher in the Vita.
It will just be small that's all.

Who? You, not me.
The only two portable consoles that I've owned were these. When I was a child.

Everything else you just wrote is....bah.

Sorry I'm not buying a Vita to experience GT. I received a PSP with GT for Christmas and I would gladly take the disc out and crush it with a hammer if the features that were promised in GT5 were actually in. The only thing good that came out of GTPSP is that I can use the cars on GT5 in arcade mode.

And if Sony is trying to get them to do it without forcing PD to work with more people or outsourcing the game than that is a stupid mistake......my evidence is GT5.

Uncharted is a great example. It's outsourced and it looks great, but PD is to high and mighty to let someone else help them.

Hate to break it to you, but the game is STILL not finished. There is still no matchmaking or any real leaderboards. Hopefully, these things will be added once Prologue kicks the bucket in July.

And there's still no sign of GT Driver's Club which was announced months ago.

They just need to add whatever else they said they were going to add to GT5, and just cease development on GT5, and focus on GT6 and GTPSP2. Learn from their mistakes with GT5, and really come back with a much better game in 2012-2013, they will make more money that way, it is a business they are running after all.

I say scrap all thoughts about a new portable title. I have a PSP but I couldn't care less about the GT PSP game.

I say bring on Tourist Trophy 2. It would rock!

Whilst I agree with you, I think it's only because I wouldn't care for a portable GT game (or rather, I don't care for a portable dedicated games device) and I absolutely loved the first TT game, so I'm heavily biased by my own desires.

In the same vein, there will be people who believe that working on TT2 will detract from GT proper in the same way that developing a new portable version would.

Pragmatically, it's obvious that working on a new portable version could help once again with optimisation of code (in terms of technique / approach, not platform-specific instructions etc.) Working on TT2 would be the equivalent of taking a break from GT, and may even inspire new features in GT itself. An obvious example being the "riding gear" in TT that has only just appeared in GT5. Plus the core gameplay / advancement mechanics were different in TT and GTPSP, yet GT5 stuck more-or-less to its roots in that respect - perhaps because of lessons learned from the criticism of these "offshoots".

Here's why nothing is progressing:

People Glitch= PD working on patch for glitch= Annoyed people because of no added (insert feature here)

People don't glitch= PD working on cool stuff like :
...matchmaking...real leaderboards...GT Driver's Club...

ect= Happy people:cheers:

DONT GLITCH PEOPLE:sly:

PD's priorities are ****ed up anyhow, so if they wern't working on fixing glitches they would start adding pointless features to GT5. I'm slowly losing faith in Polyphony since they don't give a 🤬 about what we want implicated in their game. They are just going to do what Kaz wants, and future GT's might be complete failures and they might stop making GT complelety at that point. :grumpy:

Sorry all for bumping the thread but according to the forum guidelines I figured it would be better then create a whole new thread.

So. Is there any hope for some information regarding PD next project soon? March is coming up pretty quickly. The orginal post mentions a previlege to EU where GT is a really strong brand, could it possible be a Vita Gran Turismo announced soon after the release of Vita in EU/US? I'm guessing the Vita won't fare as bad in EU/US as in Japan, but nevertheless, Vita sure could use some core Playstation brands system sellers. Any chance of semi insider man amar212 shedding some light in the matter? :)

You mean the vita?

Much of everything said before the previous 4-5 posts are from last year so it wasn't known as the vita yet.

I don't have much hope for PD announcing anything new this march either, will have to see it to believe it..

Wow that means this thread has been über bumped.

Just notice the post was in April 2011, so next month is March 2012.
Too soon to have GT6, I bet it's likely a similar GT5 racing on "Sony Vita" which is out right now.
