I wouldn't mind seeing something like the 'Prestige' system from COD. Never played any of them, but it looks like you get special ranking and things for reaching the max level and starting over again.

What if we got a car(new stealth models?? :dopey:), special driver clothing, or exclusive paints for starting over again? In that case, it might be nice to get a little more XP from events, so that we aren't barely on our 3rd go-round when GT7 comes out.

For me it's more about new tracks and extended A-Spec, but who knows, maybe they are working on something big. Hopefully we'll find out soon-

Kaz does like to surprise us once in a while. We have seasonals, on-line, and Dirt 3 to keep us busy in the meantime I guess.

I'd settle for some tracks and a-spec expantion (up to lvl 50 or 60) and a few cars...
Like an A-Spec II or whatever, a mid-cycle freshening up type DLC pack that adds onto the core game within GT5.

I'd pay $30 or $40 for that no problem, then still shell out full price for GT6 when/if that comes out. That would make a lot of financial sense for PD, getting paid twice for some of their work and at the same time keeping their customers very happy. It's a win-win. I don't get why they don't do that.

This 👍

I also don't think they would need to do thatmuch more work. Maybe 5 new tracks (El Capitan, Motegi, Spa, Seatle, Grand Canyon...) and 20 new cars. That would be a frickin sweet booster pack...

Dude Grand Canyon would be awesome.

Yeah exactly. Imagine how happy everyone would be with just that. It would totally renew and extend GT5 in a big way. We can hope it happens something like that.

Tracks and more A-Spec featuring them would be pretty nice.

Agreed with you guys! For me even 2 tracks and 5 cars would be totally awesome! That alone is weeks and weeks of playing. I'm also would be happy if PD make night/rain for some other tracks. I mean really, really happy!

I'd be happy if PD sent a patch down that completely removed any element of rallying from the game

And then put all the rally content up on the PS store as a stand-alone DLC that could used completely
separately from GT5, for those that wanted it

Rallying? A complete waste of disc space imo. If you want that kind of thing, buy a rally game

They made GT3 only 1.5 years after GT2 with superb graphics & it received best reviews in Racing Genre after GT1 :(

Yea, i think it will be GT6, because they have their new engine so the new game won't take a lot of time.

Sorry, you want them to remove content? That's borderline idiotic! Leave it in there for those that enjoy it, and you can damn well ignore it!

I really hope PD aren't concentrating on VITA at the moment. I mean it's not going to be as simple as porting GT5 so it'll require a lot of resources.

It makes sense for PD/Sony to do this because it's a killer app but, in my opinion, it could kill content development for GT5.

The whole crossed signals thing up to the launch of GT5 means I'll only believe it when I see it, basically, and by 'it' I mean 'anything' (the first 'it', not the second). Does anyone else remember the SCEE representatives talking release dates? It was pure speculation on their part taken as fact by everyone else, so I'm not getting caught up in that.

That's not true. I still don't want them to do it though. They used GT5 Prologue's physics engine for GT PSP. And it's in fact that it's easier than ever to port PS3 games.

I'll bet my money on that as well.....

Same here. Imagine how good it will look on PSP Vita. Plus Vita has more RAM than PS3, so PD is not very limited here.
I also imagine you can look around the cockpit just by moving your PSP Vita and having a button to "center" view camera position. Not to mention touch-screen controls and menu navigation. Just wow...

Not true, or did I miss something?

Wish Polyphony didn't have to waste development time coming up with half-baked iterations of GT to prop up Sony's forays into handheld gaming.

GTPSP with upgraded graphics will be avaliable on PSV I think so a new GT game on it is not so important. I think they are working on PS3. There was nothing at E3 may be at Gamesom or TGS there will be something from them :grumpy:

One way to look at a Vita GT is more features will be added to GT5 because of it. Not a bad thing IMO.

I think this time it will be a proper GT mobile with a career mode and online racing. If it has cross system play and functionality it will be a amazing game in my book. I'm getting Vita with or without a GT game though.

Polyphony are a business large enough to put some to work on GT5 and others to work on a GTPSP2. I personally think they should make a GTPSP2, use that money towards GT6's budget, to iron out the wrinkles in GT5, and maybe throw out another big update and some DLC for GT5 and end it all right there. N oneed to keep working on GT5, with new racing games such as Forza 4, F1 2011 and rfactor 2 preparing to steal the spotlight. GT5 doesn't have much marketability left in it. And this is coming from a Grade 10 Business and Economics student, i'm not nearly a genius in it, but I know enough about business to know what's best for PD.

GTPSP already proved to be a very successful game, 5 million sales, in a game that was limited by the limited power of the PSP. With the PSV being FAR more powerful, a much more polished and improved sequel is a brilliant and possible idea, will push sales of the PSV, and bring even more sales than GTPSP did. So, GT5 DLC, plus GTPSP2, will be enough to take us to 2013, when I expect GT6 to release, and it provides PD with money to use to develop GT6 into an even better game than GT5. GTPSP2 is the best thing PD can do right now.

512MB isn't enough for a sub-HD resolution hand-held? (256MB rumored for a base model)
Which as he says is not more than a PS3.
PS3 has 512mb total memory.
So Vita does not have more, but I suppose it will have a lot more available as it only has to display a smaller amount of pixels.

Playstation Vita is very powerful for a handheld. But it isn´t stronger than a PS3 at all. Compare the Uncharted-game for Vita with Uncharted 3 for PS3 and you see the difference (or better: no difference). So people shouldn´t try to imagine, that a GT on Vita would look better than on PS3, furthermore the display of the Vita isn´t a FullHD TV screen but as big as a palm.

Yeah. That's what I mean. 256Vram + 256Ram for FullHD resolution on PS3, while PSPVita has rumored 512Mb of just RAM at more than half resolution. (1/4 of pixels). And all those 2D trees and crowd will look much better on smaller screen.

I agree in real terms the Vita could run GT5 at much more speed than a PS3 could dream of, it could do all the rain and smoke at 100fps if it wanted to.
But the fineness is not their due to lower resolution, 960x544, if the PS3 was at 960x544 then it would be super quick.

All is well and good but no wheel support is a non starter for me.

Hate using buttons and thumb sticks.

I'd rather have 720p with stable frame-rate and good shadows...Sorry guys I know I'm always talking about that. Maybe too much...

I'm also like that lol, just fascinated by graphics.
But people always act as if graphics aren't important for games nowadays...

(Ja toschi lublu graphic)-yeah that's my take on Russian, I hope you got what I tried to say.:dopey:
