Spec II please.
I wouldn't mind seeing something like the 'Prestige' system from COD. Never played any of them, but it looks like you get special ranking and things for reaching the max level and starting over again.
What if we got a car(new stealth models?? ), special driver clothing, or exclusive paints for starting over again? In that case, it might be nice to get a little more XP from events, so that we aren't barely on our 3rd go-round when GT7 comes out.
I'd settle for some tracks and a-spec expantion (up to lvl 50 or 60) and a few cars...
Like an A-Spec II or whatever, a mid-cycle freshening up type DLC pack that adds onto the core game within GT5.
I'd pay $30 or $40 for that no problem, then still shell out full price for GT6 when/if that comes out. That would make a lot of financial sense for PD, getting paid twice for some of their work and at the same time keeping their customers very happy. It's a win-win. I don't get why they don't do that.
This 👍
I also don't think they would need to do thatmuch more work. Maybe 5 new tracks (El Capitan, Motegi, Spa, Seatle, Grand Canyon...) and 20 new cars. That would be a frickin sweet booster pack...

For me it's more about new tracks and extended A-Spec, but who knows, maybe they are working on something big. Hopefully we'll find out soon-
Kaz does like to surprise us once in a while. We have seasonals, on-line, and Dirt 3 to keep us busy in the meantime I guess.
They made GT3 only 1.5 years after GT2 with superb graphics & it received best reviews in Racing Genre after GT1
I'd be happy if PD sent a patch down that completely removed any element of rallying from the game
And then put all the rally content up on the PS store as a stand-alone DLC that could used completely
separately from GT5, for those that wanted it
Rallying? A complete waste of disc space imo. If you want that kind of thing, buy a rally game
My money is on GT5 NGP including cross platform play with the PS3 version.
That's not true. I still don't want them to do it though. They used GT5 Prologue's physics engine for GT PSP. And it's in fact that it's easier than ever to port PS3 games.I really hope PD aren't concentrating on VITA at the moment. I mean it's not going to be as simple as porting GT5 so it'll require a lot of resources.
It makes sense for PD/Sony to do this because it's a killer app but, in my opinion, it could kill content development for GT5.
I'll bet my money on that as well.....
Same here. Imagine how good it will look on PSP Vita. Plus Vita has more RAM than PS3, so PD is not very limited here.
I also imagine you can look around the cockpit just by moving your PSP Vita and having a button to "center" view camera position. Not to mention touch-screen controls and menu navigation. Just wow...
MikeTheHockeyFanWish Polyphony didn't have to waste development time coming up with half-baked iterations of GT to prop up Sony's forays into handheld gaming.
Not true, or did I miss something?
Which as he says is not more than a PS3.512MB isn't enough for a sub-HD resolution hand-held? (256MB rumored for a base model)
Which as he says is not more than a PS3.
PS3 has 512mb total memory.
So Vita does not have more, but I suppose it will have a lot more available as it only has to display a smaller amount of pixels.

I agree in real terms the Vita could run GT5 at much more speed than a PS3 could dream of, it could do all the rain and smoke at 100fps if it wanted to.
But the fineness is not their due to lower resolution, 960x544, if the PS3 was at 960x544 then it would be super quick.

I'd rather have 720p with stable frame-rate and good shadows...Sorry guys I know I'm always talking about that. Maybe too much...
