I highly doubt no wait I'm 100% sure it won't be TT2, GT5SpecII, GT6 nor GT6P, probably GT5 NGP, but I doubt it's a GT related, I remember Kaz talking a year and a half about a RPG, I'll put my money on this:tup:

The RPG was something he wants to do later on. Not this soon at all. He said after GT.

So, nothing so far. Guess the rumors weren't true then?

And yes, the rumor was very false. How ashamed/embarrassed am I? Not that much. Just ehhh. At least, the update wasn't a let down for MOST of us? I hope not.

According to a Contributing Editor from SCEF (Sony Computer Entertainment France) GT5 DLC should arrive.

Indeed a player asked him: "Do you have any news on futur DL (downloads) for GT5, they said it will be released for everyone (Japanese,Us & Eu) when the PSN will be restored ?

He answered: "Polyphony has already started with the new updtade, DLC should come next."

Oh so very interesting. We can only hope it's soon. I say that because this "New Project" rumor was false and went on for ages for me and a bunch of others.

I wonder what it will be, maybe a code for a DLC Camaro in a box of tampons,:sly: or maybe some boots to go with the racing suits, only offered to a specific region on facebook?

Sorry don't really care about DLC until I see it on the psn store.

In my established role as Mr. Picky I'd like to say a couple of things :D

His reply was "Polyphony a commencé avec la nouvelle mise à jour, les DLC devraient suivre".

I'd translate that as "The DLCs should follow". His answer doesn't specifically (to me) imply "come next". He uses an interesting plural for DLC too!

Next thing... we've just (in the literal sense) had some DLC in 1.10. There was content for the game that we downloaded. Always be careful with computer people - sometimes they say exactly what they mean and it isn't what you think they mean.

As a naysayer I'd very much like to hear a Sony guy say "There will be downloadble packs for GT5 that will specifically contain this, this and this."

They won't do it like that, of course :D

For sure. I was going to add, "I hope there isn't some kind of miscommunication, especially from all the past mistakes we've seen."

I'm really getting crazed out from all the "rumors and speculation".

That's true I'm not really good for translations. But for me what we had with the 1.10 update is not really a DLC but more some free extra ingame content. DLC's would likely be new some cars and tracks. keep in mind that a gtplanet user Yonis found 25 new track logos on GT5 website.

Wait & see maybe Sony will annouce something at the Gamescom on August.

Something makes me think that the new DLC will only include things like special race suits/helmets and no cars/tracks...

Can put money on it it wont actually be cars or tracks or any new DLC for that matter, PD have dropped the ball on that hardcore...

Well at least Kaz hasn't promised it. He said either DLC or wait for GT6.

I'd rather not wait anymo'.

Me too but it appears Kaz is going with the GT6 option, PD obviously don't like money much since anything they put out DLC wise (tracks or car packs) would sell like hotcakes.

Yep, technically and factually any update or patch is DLC and yes, unless they're very specific with words like cars, tracks and even more specific with what they mean by cars and tracks (slightly improved or newly added, and with slightly improved, do they mean from Standard to Premium or just another patch to make the handling more accurate, etc., etc.) it's business as usual.
Ever since the whole Standard/Premium debacle it's worth noting to take anything very literally and just read what it says without further interpreting it to mean something else.
About new cars, think it's about time they'd add some more Premium material.

Any GT5 DLC that comes out already has my money.

👍

Well said. And haha at me. I was searching a person on Google to see if it was the person in your avatar, and figured out it wasn't Albert Hoffman :dunce:. It's Ian Fleming. How dare I?

Hmm for me, there is no need for DLC. We got 1000 cars and I did not even touched 100 of them... A lot of tracks, I mostly play Nordschleife, Monza, Tsukuba...

If we really get DLC, I bet 90% of the cars will be Japanese :/ :(

Hopes are on Forza 4 and then after, I hope for a new console generation, leveling up Forza 5 and GT6 to a whole new dimension...

Yes but any DLC for GT5 would be in GT6 anyway therefore they could be released for GT5 and we'd buy it and then we'd be buying it a second time when we buy GT6 with it included. It's win/win for Sony/PD.

Don't think so... Kaz in some interview said that some cars couldn't make in time for the release of GT5 such as the VW Scirocco.

And don't you guys think that the lack of a premium Mk4 Supra, Veyron or an AE86 and some other famous and popular cars left an open a door for a DLC?

I don't think they would release a DLC with a Samba Bus, because that won't sell much. I would buy everything coming from them, but the usual gamers wouldnt.

nahh that's not true Scirocco is from 2008 so they had time to make a poinless VW boat car, god some choices made by PD are so pointless, everyone knows we want to drive; supercars, racing cars and fast sports cars, all others do not float my boat...

Funny i know alot of people who would like to drive everyday cars on GT. Though i just think why not have both?

The point he was trying to make and I know you know, is the majority of people are not going to want to race a some of these rare cars. Just speaking for myself but I have only driven some of these unique old cars once, and some none. IMHO these cars are not worth the development time that was used to create them. I mean would you really want to drive a VW car/boat rather than a Premium Mk4 Supra?

If Kaz's whole thing is the "Driving Experience" then why not put the oldest cars that were in GT4 into GT5, like the old carriage Ford? Actually why didn't he just port every single car from GT4, judging by most nothing was done to them when they showed up in GT5.

Now everyday cars yes, I'm all for them.

Nvm i misread it, i thought he was referring to the scirocco as 'the boat'

Scirocco, vxr corsa and supra mk4 i would say yes to if they were in the game and premium.

Back on topic, is this new project actually dlc or what? Or is it that dlc is coming yet this project is different to dlc altogether?

There is no new project.

I'd settle for some tracks and a-spec expantion (up to lvl 50 or 60) and a few cars...
Like an A-Spec II or whatever, a mid-cycle freshening up type DLC pack that adds onto the core game within GT5.

I'd pay $30 or $40 for that no problem, then still shell out full price for GT6 when/if that comes out. That would make a lot of financial sense for PD, getting paid twice for some of their work and at the same time keeping their customers very happy. It's a win-win. I don't get why they don't do that.

I wouldn't mind seeing something like the 'Prestige' system from COD. Never played any of them, but it looks like you get special ranking and things for reaching the max level and starting over again.

What if we got a car(new stealth models?? :dopey:), special driver clothing, or exclusive paints for starting over again? In that case, it might be nice to get a little more XP from events, so that we aren't barely on our 3rd go-round when GT7 comes out.
