I think People are overreacting at this video just because the Maserati GranTurismo bares the very same name as a game franchise. If anything, its probably just spoofing GT, but Its not necessarily PD. If it was, it would have something like "2008 Sony Computer Entertainment inc" and All the trademark stuff regarding the manufacterers somewhere at the bottom as they did with the Ferrari California and GTbyCitroen.

The video didn't look much like GT to me either. As for the poll, I don't expect it to be in GT5P, but I think there's a good chance we'll see it in the full game, considering Maserati's relationship with Ferrari.

The way I see it with Ferrari in its almost a given that Maserati will be in.. it just makes sense!

The first two rear pan shots in that vid look indentical to the 2 pan shots used in the GT5P GTR video (the one in the dark with spotlights). I think I also saw the same pan shots used in the california vid.

I don't think Turn10 have anything to worry about, after all, for that to happen then these magic people who must have been living under a rock for the last 10 years and have not heard of Gran Turismo the game, would first have to own an XBox and a copy of Forza to play with the MaserGT, like it, google it, then find out about GT5P, so the sale has already been made in the XBox games favour. The profits have alread been made, Forza2 is now over 18months old, pretty much sold all the copies it will sell and is about to be superseeded by RACE Pro.

Then as we all know, as a racing game GT5P does not come anywhere near close to being as good as Forza (Not fanboyism but fact taken from the experience of owning and playing both games to death) so these weird peeps who have previously never heard of the Gran Turismo series will be put off by the price of getting hold of the hardware in order to play it and decide that they'll wait 6 weeks for RACE Pro to come out on their XBoxes and keep playing the superior online racing experience that the 360 provides and live without Gran Turismo LOL

While everyone is saying Maserati & Ferrari are "blood" brothers (which is a bit awkard considering out of Maserati's 95 years as a company, only around 8 of those years were spent under Ferrari control), they should probably also look up that both companies are actually no longer as close as they believe.

Their relationship now-a-days mainly consist of developing parts for each other, nothing really new to the automotive world.

When it comes to online Forza might have GTP, however when it comes to driving and becoming one with a car GTP destroys forza2. I have an Xbox with HDMI and a PS3. I also have a Microsoft wheel and a G25 with a home made racing pit I like forza when it comes to customizing your car, but other than that the game is to arcade for me. For example a Honda destroying a ferrari on the track im sorry but try to fully tune your Type R in GTP and go race a 650+ PP with some F430's you wont see any taillights after the 1st turn. Not the case in Forza. Now im not the best driver in the world but come on!! i could be in a A850 race (basicly fully tuned cars) in a F430 racing a pack of AWD Mugen Integras.. Yes i said it folks AWD Mugen Integras and get smoked on the track. Now like i said im a pretty good clean driver, but i was so confused i couldnt understand how could these honda's smoke a ferrari. I knew something wasn't right, but when i bought my PS3 and G25 to play GTP i was SO happy!! The driving experience is serious!!! I tried to race with my fully tuned Honda integra in a 650 pp wasnt so good hahah, but i was happy. It made me respect those F430 alot!! Even when i raced in Suzka 650PP with the Amuse 350z i would place in a top 3 pole postion but it was clearly the F430 and the Calli's was crazy fast on the straights. they could also turn very well. i just feel GTP is a better driving game then forza2. yes forza2 has hot customizations but GT5 will also probaly have the same thing. i know its forza2, but even forza3 if it comes wont match the driving experience That GTP/5 delivers.

Very true, I'm not sure what the point of JDMKING's rant was there, all I was saying was that the Masreati Gran Turismo is already in Forza and that it wouldn't worry turn 10 about the name as I very much doubt any sales would be affected by it being in the game.

Im not hating on forza2 I play it once in a while. What im saying is when it comes to driving and getting a feel for a car, GTP destroy Forza that all. The cars in forza handle to easy in my opinion and drive way to stiff. during replays the cars have a Small amount off body movement it just dosent look right to me. Im not ranting at all you stated your opinion and i stated mine no tension here By the way if its cool with you im sure there is a forza2 and GTP thread. Yeah I agree with you there, Forza = a Great Racing game with great online, GT5P = a Great Driving game with terrible online.

To me, my priorities lie with playing online and good clean racing, which is why I prefer Forza, but do enjoy the handling of GT5p & FC:TP and the addictive Force Feedback that the PS3 provides which is why I go back to it once in a while.

None here either pal, it's all good, such threads for these discussions do exist and I think the pros and cons have all been discussed to the enth degree, but unfortunately these discussions end up being ruined by childish fanboyism so I'll leave it at that.👍 Have a good one yourself.


Back on topic...................I don't think the Maser Gran Turismo will make it to GT5P but it would be a crying shame if it wasn't included in the finished product, I really enjoy driving it on Forza with assists off (IMO The only way to play these games) and it makes a beautiful noise, a grid made up of Gran Turismos and Alfa 8c Competzione's would be a beautiful sight
