Rumour: Yamauchi won't talk about GT5 at E3 !!

I think the important question is whether or not Yamauchi is doing interviews before or after Sony's presentation. If it is before then they are focusing on the PSP info which is already out and not talking about GT5, which they won't have revealed at that point.
If it is after the presentation then it could very well mean they aren't showing much. Or it could mean that Sony considers GT5 to be a given and any major news will be discussed in the presentation and that is all they want to say because Sony is obviously pushing the PSP Go very heavily.
Anyway, even if this is true, I do not see it meaning much because interviews happen all the time where the press is told that the interviewee will only talk about X subject and if they start to talk about anything else it will be over. Businesses do this because they have a specific PR focus they want to follow and if certain media outlets choose not to cover that focus then they don't have to show.

Wow that'll be massively disappointing, but I can't understand how they'd put Yamuachi on the stage and not even mention GT5, that doesn't exactly make sense to me. It's too glaring an omission.
Hope it's just a rumor. Otherwise I've committed to killing a kitten and I'm not looking forward to it. Don't make me do it Sony!

For the past month I was couning down the days for E3 hoping to hear KY give a solid release date only to hear this RUMOUR. I will be so disapointed with PD for this if its true because how long can we wait again . It seems to me like everyone couldn't care less for GT mobile ( even if i know its going to be good ) but we all were waiting for GT5 about 3 years now.

I don´t understand what´s the problem to say something about GT5? If we read all the stuff KY said then I think he hates GT5 and has no idea how he will make this game...

And with that in mind, im still positive that we will see GT5 tomorrow.. sites create rumours, and look.. they get hits, a lot of hits now because of this rumour.
There might even be truth in it, maybe Yamauchi does not want to talk about GT5 BEFORE the sony press conference.. makes perfect sense to me, he does not want to spoil anything.
I'll remain optimistic for now, i mean come on.. forza 3 is 100% sure to be unveiled tonight.. do you really think sony is just going to sit there and say, "we'll have GT on the PSP guys, dont worry".. ? nah, they HAVE to come out with GT5 now, or else amar is wrong and that simply cant be.
Case closed..... we can all move on now!

Am I the only one who thinks this is just pure marketing? creating more hype/drama that fits the current stance PD is taking with regards to new information about GT5.

If you ask me what purchase I regret the most in my whole life, I'd say the PS3 together with the 32" LCD TV. Imagine the PC I would've got for those money. And I would've got money left to get a Playseat, Logitech G25 and games like iRacing, GTR and rFactor.

So, I am thinking this may be a whole bunch of nothing. I did a Google search and found three stories on the first page mentioning this. One was the VG247.com story and the other two were linking back to VG247.com.
If Sony had asked all the gaming press to not talk about it with Yamauchi no one else reporting would have had to link back to VG247.com. They should all have their own notice.
The only thing I can figure is that VG247.com may have a scheduled interview and they were told that the focus is on GT Mobile.

They cant just stand there infront of everyone, talk about GT mobile and then sit back down again. Maybe someone thought of a bad situation out of something small, all we know is Kaz said not to talk about GT5, that doen't really mean anything.

IMO, the second example is far more likely. And let's remember, VG247 isn't exactly the most reliable source.

i think its all marketing. they will show now a gt psp to boost psp go sells..
gt 5 will be showed at TGS frst becouse Kaz is traditional japanease and he will show his masterpice in his birthland... i think its a good strategie becouse m$ will show now at e3 forza 3, so pd will see all things from forza3 and than they can improve or put some new things in gt5.. becouse i think they done the game more then 95% i remebar i read somewerhe they reached number of car target and had to make sound souround.. but if they ask me i would put earlier the game and later
make improvment with dlc..

KY might not actually say anything, but theres nothing to suggest we wont see something, even if its just a video.
I just hope that this so called Gran Turismo news isnt just about GT Mobile. If we come away from the show only hearing more promises about that and nothing about GT5 then I would be quite dissapointed.
