Rumour: Yamauchi won't talk about GT5 at E3 !!

I've come up with the most simple of theories everyone seems to have posted so far.

Example: If tomorrow I will get married, why would I want people to ask me how will my marriage be? You will see it tomorrow!

Humm, i'm not impressed with Forza III, but i really hope they show something about GT5 tomorrow. I think we've waited long enough, and with no updates to GT5P for a while, I think the loyal GT fans deserve something. I will settle for a 2 minute video and a release date... THIS YEAR!

I think they're laughing... What is FM3 to be impressed about? No sign of realistic damage, the graphics are not as good as GT5P and only 8 cars on track according to the trailer. I mean even GT5P is miles better to judge by that FM3 trailer.

Well, i have to say that FM3 trailer is mostly based on what has been its online gaming, pure stunts!...but hey, i Did Not see any porsches in that trailer, so that possibly means of porsche in ``another game´´ .

but at the same time im impressed if those are the graphics it will get, and i have read somewhere that it will have the best graphics of racing games in this console generation (O`Rly?), something that i dont believe....but hey, if PD doesnt show GT5 or something i will be dissapointed because i could have bought a X360 to play FM2 and FM3, which honestly are great games, but instead i bought a ps3 for GT5 so...they better dont dissapoint people with GT:Mobile...which may be a cool game...but for us Ps3 owners its as ****** as showing nothing on this E3

...I Just have a huge amount of hope, because Sony said they will present some big surprises, atm there are 2 PSP Go! and GT: Mobile, now the third should be GT5!-Including livery editor, More Modifications, More Tracks, better online and sound please!-...and thats all i think and feel atm

The only thing they have to be impressed about is, their game is scheduled for release before the infinite duration.

That means you will be able to actually play it, warts aside, instead of sit around and talk about it another year or two.

.. True, but they also have tangible product, not a Demo/Prologue. As it stands today GT5 has nothing and FM3 whether you like or or not is real and has people ooh'ing and aahing... From a marketing perspective this is exactly what you want and should PD not have something of equivalence then this will be a major coup for MS.. is there a bigger stage to debut your product than E3?

The graphics is indeed not even close to GT5P IMO! A lot of polygons, but you can tell it's a game right away, compared to GT5P which looks photo realistic.

But for me the graphics are good enough!

And damn! they know how to marketing a product! there are a lot of news on the FM3 homepage and I think we get dayly (is that correct?) updates,pictures and videos!

Can we expect that from PD tomorrow? after a GT5 presentation the official GT5 website goes online and we dayly get new stuff and infos?

After what Microsoft unveiled for FM3, I can't see Sony giving us nothing on GT5. I'm still confident in a couple hours all will become clear.

Also they need ultra realistic lighting with shadow in the cockpit view. Do all that and you have GT5P graphics, but still only with 8 cars.

But in the end, I have a feeling that nobody will even remember FM3 after tommorrow

Well F3 will have 400 cars while GT5P is somewhere in the 70's. While I'm no game developer but 400 is a lot harder than 70 something. I can guarantee you that the full GT5 will suffer a little in the detail department as there is more cars.

Also, how is GT Mobile going to make people forget F3?

really?. How silly. Since FM inception it's been trying to chase GT's tail. And the reason Sony have kept stum about GT5 for the last 18 months is because of that fact. I expect megatons when it's revealed.

I bet you'll be very wrong then! It's more likely that the graphics in GT5 will be even better than in GT5P. KY would never downgrade graphics. He never has anyway. GT4 had a lot better graphics although it contained 10 times more cars than GT4P for example...

GT5 has been in development for 4 years now. There were cars in GTHD that didnt' even make it into GT5P. I don't think anyone doubts GT5 will launch with at least 200 cars with full detail from the get go. And there is no way Kazunori Yamauchi will let the graphics/gameplay whatever suffer just to rush the game to the markets early. PD learned their lesson after they rushed GT2 to the market.

Meanwhile, Forza 2 has been released in that time period. Instead of delaying the game and including cockpit views for all the cars @ 60fps, in typical Microsoft fashion they rushed an incomplete game to the market. Now they're asking you to pay for what they should have included in Forza 2.

Meanwhile, the hardworking folks at PD are taking their time to make sure everything is complete and perfect, the way they want it, before shipping it to stores unlike Turn 10.

Also, it is just a rumor that KY will not take questions on GT5.

We may just end up seeing a 30 or 60 second trailer of GT5 with more attention on GT mobile, though I doubt that. But trust me, GT5 will be seen, and I doubt it will be shown 95% prerendered like Forza 3.

For the average person who hasn't bought a 360 or PS3, apart from Gran Turismo what else is there left? Would you (mainstream who bought GT in the past) buy a PS3 when all the big guns are on the 360 now, especially Americans?

Big Guns? What about Resiatance 2, Uncharted2 , Killzone2 , Little Big Planet, Warhawk, MAG, etc? All the big guns are not on 360.

Maybe all your preferred titles, but not all in general.
