FM3 menu:
Hating those ratings, has arcade all over it.
Yeah I don´t like this ratings too... that looks like the arcade games where you insert a coin to play in the gaming hall...
But for me the graphics are good enough!
And damn! they know how to marketing a product! there are a lot of news on the FM3 homepage and I think we get dayly (is that correct?) updates, pictures and videos!
Can we expect that from PD tomorrow? after a GT5 presentation the official GT5 website goes online and we dayly get new stuff and infos?
What's with the drivetrain? Why is the rear only highlighted. Silly M$, don't they know it's AWD?
I bet you'll be very wrong then! It's more likely that the graphics in GT5 will be even better than in GT5P. KY would never downgrade graphics. He never has anyway. GT4 had a lot better graphics although it contained 10 times more cars than GT4P for example...
Wow... don't you think that's kind of excessive? I don't know, maybe you're one of those people who ONLY play Gran Turismo games. But SONY is way more than just GT. There are half a dozen games I'm all hot n bothered over, and dozens which I intend to buy. And when GT5 is ready, I will have already pre-ordered in full and will be waiting in line with the other hundreds of people to get it in my sweaty little... well, big hands.Seriously, if Sony doesn't show GT5 tomorrow, then they're dead to me
Big Guns? What about Resiatance 2, Uncharted2 , Killzone2 , Little Big Planet, Warhawk, MAG, etc? All the big guns are not on 360.
Maybe all your preferred titles, but not all in general.
I'll give the same challenge I gave in the other thread. Show me two credible sources that say that.
I hate to be one of those people to vilify Polyphony and Sony over a simple video game... but I've really lost patience with the whole GT series.
There was a time when I loved GT3, then GT4, and for a while GT5 prologue. I played every day. I bought a PS3 just so I could be ready when the next GT release came out. Frankly, however, I'm so sick of waiting for a full release that I just don't care anymore. My PS3 is sitting there collecting dust.
I have other games, but none I like enough to play more than once a week. a year ago, I would have paid a fortune for GT5. Now, I just can't seem to muster the interest. Obviously, I wasted my money buying a PS3 at all.
If my experience is typical, Sony just lost the opportunity to make a lot of money. And I'll think twice before I get suckered into buying a Sony console again.
You're talking out you're ass. Sony has 6 of the top 10 selling ps3 games ever. Price is the problem. FF, MGS, GTA are all on the ps3. Sony 1st party is really good but price is stopping certain titles being break out games. LBP for example. Price is the only issue if that's dealt with things could very quickly change.I think big names are Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, GTA, Resident Evil. These games sell 5-14 million and are established franchises. Plus they have Gears which sells 4-6 million at full price. CoD 4 & WaW sells double on xbox 360. Games on 360 usually sell quickly at full price.
With all respect to Killzone 2, 1.5 million is not a lot when you look how much that game cost to make. R2 is 1.5, the public aren't going for these games. It's a shame K2 gets outsold on the PS3 by Call of Duty World at War re-skin. Me, you and Tenacious D won't keep sony going strong against MS. I'm looking at the sales and what mainstream buy. LBP was less than half price after a few weeks.
I bought Killzone 2, LBP, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Valkyria Chronicles, GT5p Japan and PAL copies, I hope Yakuza 3 makes it to the west (I own Y1&2) I have no interest in RE5, CoD, Halo, Gears. I might buy the next MGS and FF in time. I'm talking about the mainstream punter not the early adopter.
Just seems MS are slowly ousting Sony and don't care how much it costs. Marketing is almost zero for Sony while I watch the TV for 5 mins and I see 360 ads. It's like blanket marketing for the past year.
Uncharted 2 and GoW III are fairly big and could be bigger this time but Sony is getting out muscled and will they get their money back from making the PS3 and money they put into games like K2? I'm concerned as a gamer that all Sony's amazing high quality games and huge cost to make them and reliable system are just not being recognized and MS are too much to compete with.
Anyway I don't want to derail the thread and have owned Atari, Nintendo, Sega Machines in the past and things move on. But I love GT and the backing it gets from Sony plus the other stuff.
Hmm. I think this rumor is to try to puff up Forza by MS. You know as if they're equals. You know GT is the biggest selling racing game of all time?. I'm sure GT5 will make a startling appearance.I hate to be one of those people to vilify Polyphony and Sony over a simple video game... but I've really lost patience with the whole GT series.

Well if it were the same price as 360 there would be afew more PS3

Considering it took just as long for Turn 10 to develop the same amount of content and both games appear to be releasing at the same time, is it fair to say PD is lazy or slow or Sony is somehow at fault?
But in the end, if you bought a PS3 just to get ONE game with no verified release date, then maybe you have too much money?
You know, I have noticed something. Almost every person that comes on here and snivels about losing patience with PD is a newbie member.
And yeah, I did buy a PS3 JUST for GT5. That's testimony to the power of the GT franchise to drive console sales. It's a pity they didn't deliver GT5 earlier, because if they're losing people like me, the casual gamer is already gone.
cry me a river why dont you. But make sure you watch Sony conference.well, i actually bought a PS3 to play Gt5, but i didnt bought it because i have too much money, i spend around a year saving for it and i didnt bought a X360 because i just dont have the money to pay for it i mean, lets do quick math, i bought the ps3 at 399$ in a travel i made to the Us , the X360 with 120Gb HDD costs 350$+Wifi adapter+Fan+Online Costs+ Price maintaining it, because where i live (near to the end of the world) we dont have any technical guarantee/Support From M$ so it just wasnt quite a good choice for me and i dont want to stop playing every hour by fear of getting my Console ****ed Up...so hey, atm im pretty frustrated too because ive seen too good games (FM2 and 3) and ill never be able to play em, so GT5 should be at least as good as FM3 and btw if possible i would like it before Holidays 2010
No it's a clever marketing trick by them. Making out GT is scared etc. To claim more exposure. And the 3million averaging forza is GT. wait till tomorrow.Once Turn 10 revealed Forza 3, this entire thread just went out of control. Have Turn 10 really messed up the GT fans?
Actually I've been here since GT3, but there just hasn't been much to post about since GT4...
Look, I'm not saying "I hate Sony"... I'm just saying they lost an opportunity to build on the momentum of the fan base and bring the PS3 into it's own as the dominant console it should be.

BuzzOrHowlConsider that GT4 was released in Early 2005. If we get a full GT5 on the shelves by early 2010, that will be 5 years between releases. That means (in the US) that if you were in 8th grade (13 years old) when GT4 came out, could be in your first year at a University (18 years old) when GT5 is finally released. The entire period one attended highschool, no new GT releases.
You're right, GT really is one of the only games I play, I've also played a game called Metal Gear Solid 4, but mainly my interest in playstation is Gran Turismo, I just want to see how far along it is, and a confirmation that it's coming out in this millennium, before the sith takes over again. I understand how people want a perfect game, but it's been a LONG time, there really isn't any excuses if Kaz demands another year to work on the game. Now that virtually every other Playstation franchise has been bought off by Microsoft, Sony should really show off their own stuff which obliterates anything Square or other developers that jumped ship could make.Wow... don't you think that's kind of excessive? But I have 14 Blu-Ray games and counting for the PS3, and I'm just getting started.
