We all saw this coming of course. So what did Putin say to this guy that made him become willing to turn around and end up assassinated a little while later? It was inexplicable at the time that he would just back off given how obvious a target it would put on him.

I'm assuming it was this:

This disproves Western claims how Putin is weak. The man still holds power.

Prighozin beef with Shoigu and Gerasimov claimed his life. Putin instead of choosing Prighozin still stood by Shoigu.

Wagner will either cease to exist or get rebranded as most of its higher ranking people got taken out

Russians the way they deal with traitors is just brutal and ruthless. My God the way Putin said Prighozin made some mistakes is just cold.

Prighozin believed he was powerful but reality came back to him. Ramzan Kadryov must be ******** his pants there has been at times where Kadryrov and Prighozin saw eye to eye but even Kadryov was smart enough not to gamble his power by defying Putin.

Just like Osama Bin Laden, Pol Pot, Hitler or any other piece of trash. Prighozin wont be missed.

I hope the families who lost loved ones to Wagner Atrocities in Syria, Ukraine, Libya, Mali and Central African Republic can sleep easy.

No, it doesn't disprove he is weak as he still foolishly not accepting the fact that Russia is in trouble. It just proves that Prighozin was a dead man once he started the coup.

All it proves is that if you’re going to start a coup, you better finish it. Anyone who thinks they can just walk away after attempting an overthrow is begging for a multi-storey fall.

History has proven this time after time. The only thing new is the height of the window.

Small key chain made from a destroyed Russian T-72.

Putin also send a message to his inner circle and the Russian elites. Either behave or die brutally.

That's just pathetic if that was it. How do you march toward Moscow with such obvious weak points like that? The leaders of a group that decides to march on Moscow either need to have no family, or their families need to be very well protected. It's beyond my comprehension that someone would turn their army toward Russia having not considered that Putin might go after their families. Have they ever watched like... any movie? or read a book? or studied history? or know anything about Putin? Surely this particular group has used this exact strategy based on everything I know about these people.

I'm gonna guess ruthlessness =/ intelligence.

No comeon. I'm not asking this guy to be good at calculus. I'm asking the ruthless military guy who uses underhanded tactics and decides to march against Vladimir Putin to be aware that Vladimir Putin might use ruthless tactics. Seems like they very definition of his job description.

Quite a violent heart attack to make the whole aircraft explode and fall out of the sky in a flaming inferno.
Unsurprisingly, this was a spoof.

However this is not:

It's a relatively easy translation as "Правда" is the name of Russia's largest newspaper, Pravda, in Cyrillic and I imagine that we all know the fact that that's - with no sense of irony - "Truth".

Always thought it was interesting Trump would choose the same name for his own social site...

I know petitions wont do anything.

But I hope this can get some attention.

Instead of Australian FA18 hornets rotting in depos they should be sent to Ukraine.

FA18 hornet may be old technically but with modernisation and new weapon kits it will help Ukraine a lot plus help them build their airforce into a Nato capable one in the future.

I'm sure the authorities have considered this. Keep in mind that the pilot training process for warplanes can take upwards of six months. We aren't simply "sending" anything anywhere, we have to pull Ukrainian pilots out of Ukraine to safe spaces and house them there for several months to train them up. Takes even longer for them to develop enough expertise so they can begin to train themselves afterwards.

Nevermind how long it takes to get a mothballed plane airworthy as well.
