And Ukraine is now allowed to use long range weapons on Russian territory. Let's ****ing go.

Russia is not using tactical nukes in Ukraine. Putin's cronies been trying that little fear line since the first month of their "3 day operation".

And in response Russia uses tactical nukes. Then what?
According to Russian constitution Crimea isn't anyhow different from Moscow or Saint Petersburg. Crimea was targeted with western missiles for year+

Tactical nukes would be used if foreign army would be treat to Russia as state. Even occupation of relatively big territory wasn't reason for usage of nukes, relax.

It wouldn't make much sense to drop nukes on land and people that you intend to conquer and use in the immediate future.

Admittedly, this could be a dangerous assumption to make in these chaotic times, but still.

Red line, red line, red line the little bitch screams. Each time Ukraine has crossed one of them the little bitch, Putin claims another.
I hope Storm Shadows and ATAC weapons wreak havoc in Russian land.
Loooooooong overdue.
Reap what ya sow commies.

But if they decide that they can't conquer and use it, they may well act in ways to make sure that nobody else can either. Which would be insane, but entirely on brand for the kind of ridiculous strong man bollocks many governments are leaning hard into these days. If you act like enough of an unhinged aggressive tyrant, other people will give you what you want simply to avoid being on your bad side.

The threat of using a nuclear weapon is far more potent than actually using one, primarily because every world leader in a nuke-possessing country is keenly aware that if they push the big red button, they will instantly become a global pariah and even their staunchest allies will turn against them if only to save their own hides from the inevitable response.

But if you keep hovering your finger over that button and going "Oh! Oh, am I gonna push it? Am I gonna do it, eh? Am I really THAT crazy? You suuuuuuure you wanna find out?", you're holding much more power because nobody really does want to find out.

Do you understand that Ukraine and Russia were part of USSR and Ukrainians were in power of USSR for longer? Do you understand that Ukraine and Russia has same economical model? Its as commi as modern Germany, France and North Europe. Usage of Cold War nicknames in current situation is just nonsense.

Nothing new
signed a new doctrine

And it looks like that new doctrine states that "any massive aerial attack on Russia" is now considered a valid reason for a nuclear response, and establishes a joint-enterprise feature wherein a non-nuclear power aided by a nuclear power is seen as a collaborative act and that any attack of this kind - which includes drones, aircraft, and cruise and ballistic missiles - by any member of a "bloc" as an act by the entire bloc, with nuclear responses against other members now deemed appropriate.

It's worth noting that PA doesn't "create" news either. PA is a newswire/agency service, and considered one of the only valid services that can be used in single-source reporting by media.

Otherwise a solid hand-wave.

It doesn't. Putin had ultimate power to use nukes before and have now, nothing is changed.
So this isn't a new doctrine which he's signed then? Only everyone else but a random guy on the internet who has a habit of "misunderstanding" the English language says that it is.
If by PA you mean Putin Administration, you wrong. Because, by "they" I mean Putin Administration, not news outlets.
By "PA" I mean "PA", the Press Association, whose Tweet I posted (you know, where it says "PA Media" and "PA" right in there) and to which you responded and quoted to say "Nothing new, they just creating another hot news to remind about scary red button.":

PA doesn't create squat. It's a news agency.

This is new doctrine that doesn't change a dime.

We at war for 2+ years and your "everyone" still doesn't understand how Russian law work. In fact, there are a lot of experts that understands that, but surprisingly they are mostly Russian.

This appears to me an effort by the Biden administration to get Ukraine into the best position possible in the ~2 months before Trump takes office for the inevitable territorial concessions. The sad part is that I believe Russia will sign a ceasefire, then spend the next 2-4 years rebuilding it's armed forces to resume taking over more Ukrainian territory. It's what they've been doing since 2014.

Boo hoo to Russian complaints about this. Russia has been using foreign materiel so it's a taste of your own medicine.
The funniest part about it is that Ukraine seeks to win out this war by targeting key military territories and etc.

Meanwhile, Russia is literally bombing civilian buildings, hospitals and if I'm not mistaken, even kindergardens and other stuff.

Ukraine should've received right to shot into Russian's territory much sooner, even maybe counting first months of the war.

But the reality we're looking into is a simple ceasefire...(demilitiraze russia please, speaking as a person living there)

Putin is indeed a genius.

He starts a war against a neighbouring country on the pretext that the 'West' is using Ukraine to threaten Russia's very existence, resulting in Western weapons being used against targets in Russia itself for the first time in modern history.

One has to ask, if Russia had not invaded Ukraine, would a single 'Western' weapon have ever been fired into Russia?

Had he not invaded Ukraine again, would Finland have joined NATO and increased Russia's NATO border by 833 miles / 1,300 kilometres? Probably not.

Thanks to Kaliningrad's, um... unique existence, Russia's border with NATO was previously a mere 300 mi / 500 km. So now this jenius has more than tripled it.

And with them continuing to commit to this war, even a total success would only lead to a further increase of direct NATO borders with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania on the opposite end of Ukraine - and at that point it's not exactly NATO doing the "encroaching".
