Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO (PS4/XB1/PC) - Milestone

Milestone are known for not updating their games much after release so don't hold your breath.

Seems what's on offer on release is plenty of content so as long as it's a good launch with no bugs there shouldn't be much to worry about :)
Heres hoping.

This game went from awesome, to ****, to awesome again.

Should I get this, or Dirt Rally? Ah, hell, I'll get both, I guess.

I am in the same predicament. There's about 3 months between releases, so I'm just going to get both (I'll trade WRC 5 on SLRE). This game looks to be shaping up quite well.

At the end of the day, if it wears thin after 3 months I'll just trade it on Dirt Rally!

Just tried it out. Sadly only with a controller. No wheel for ps4 yet. Graphics look pretty good. Not quite as good as DR. Physics are a definite improvement over their previous games. San Remo is a very tight and difficult track. Wish I tried this with a wheel, but it looks like Milestones best rally game to date.

Can't wait to try this out tomorrow!! Let's hope the FFB and wheel support is up to scratch!

Would anyone who has played the demo with a wheel be able to give an insight???

Quick testdrive with pad PRO handling.(PS 4)
Graphics is really good, big step up compared to WRC 5.
Handling feels good, but I have yet to test it with my T300...
I just needed a Quick rally fix

Overall..looks promising
Merry Christmas :)

Really looking forward to trying this demo. It just started downloading. I've always enjoyed Milestone's rally games and SLRE looks great!

Now this has been a very cool early christmas present!

I just played the demo stage in San Romolo with all 3 cars, first impressions are:
+ Great graphics (esp. dusk and night), not Driveclub, but very close
+ Very realistic track layout, one of the best I've seen in any game
+ Rewarding handling with all assists off (PS4 pad)
+ Car sounds are good, DS3 and 500 are very well done, Corolla has some drone but nice exhaust crackling
+ Good damage system, always like it if games simulate flat tires
- Replay frame rate is all over the place (hope this gets fixed for the final release)
- I did not find an option to change the controller button mapping

I was not sure if I should buy this game, but after the first 30 minutes with the demo I'm definitely more convinced. Will definitely play more tomorrow. Also will try the XBOX ONE version, to see if there are any differences.

You can fully re-map the controls. In [CONTROLS] > [CONTROL OPTIONS] press X to select what you want to change then press the button you wish to map to that option.

I am pleased to report that the wheel support/FFB seems to be very good with this game! (at least with my T300 it is anyway).

That ridiculously narrow stage will take a lot of time to get used to!! The car list seems to be very strong also.

Seems like a vast improvement over other Milestone games, will definitely pre-order before it comes out next month. I can't wait to get my hands on Pikes Peak for my first time!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!:cheers::lol::sly:

+ It looks gorgeous with some fabulous lighting.
+ Replays are well done and using slo-mo is very addictive.
+ The Free Camera (Photo Mode) control options are nice, yes I'm looking at you PCars, and the picture quality is spot-on. Again, PCars take note.
+ The UI is smart looking and very straightforward to use.

- I cannot warm to the handling model though. With ESC Off it is horribly twitchy while I find the cars understeer with it On. An option for ESC Off - Light - On would be nice. The cars don't really feel connected to the road either.
I am so used to PCars and DRIVECLUB that perhaps they are influencing my opinion of the handling so I shall play for another 30mins or so.

With the handling being by far the most important factor in a racing game Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo is a great disappointment for me. That feeling is compounded by how good the rest of it is.

Are you using a wheel or a controller?? Not tried the DS4 yet but felt great with a wheel?!
