I really liked that one. Only took me 25 minutes to get gold.

What I normally do is just watch the demonstration and remember the breaking points. Then just try to get a decent lap in. Then for the next run I have my own ghost on a 0.5 offset. So I can easily follow the previous run and more easily improve it. That works very good for me.

This one is kicking my ……

I used to like the 917k before this, but I am struggling. Eau Rouge is killing me and even if I get past that im just slow throughtout. Have the demo ghost on a .3 lead in front. its the last gold I need

Is the all gold car worth it? I don’t know what it is

EDIT: DONE IT. 2:25.365.

I love that this gives us just a little glimpse what it must have been like driving this car in period - especially when there's no TC, bad lights, no run off, crap windscreen wipers, no fancy anti-reflection/defogging stuff on the glass...
My appreciation for this photo from the 1970 BOAC 1000km goes up even further!

It's funny how all the licence tests beforehand seem like a cakewalk, then PD brings back GT4 level difficulty with the S licence section :D

Haven't completed it yet, but I'm looking forward to reaching it... Love a good challenge in GT, something I miss a lot
Can't wait for the update that gives us Mission 34 from GT 4, updated to the 24 hour 'Ring track, torrential rain, on racing slicks, and 2.5 minute wait for the other cars to get their headstart, and all.

What this picture tells me is that you can drive on a wet surface. What GT7 tells me, if it looks like water, it's probably ice.

I did this challenge with the DS4 and I used the ASM, TCM 1 and ABS default and it took me one try... after I spent 2 hour on a wheel with everything turned off. If anybody is strugling with that license then this this is my advice.

After about 35 minutes of trying and failing I did a 2:26.0xx. It was already past midnight at at that point and I was ready to call it a night but I persisted and the next lap I managed a 2:24.711.

About 25 minutes in I tried turning assists on just to get it over and done with but I just found they slowed me down. I’m glad I turned them back off because it was a great feeling when I finally crossed the line with over a second to spare. The only ‘trick’ I used was turning the exposure settings right up just so I could see the dry line in the shadows better.

I still have S7-S10 left to do and I'll be done with the licenses. Trying to gold them all and S10 looks like it will be a difficult one too. I'm your average / casual gamer and I found those test really challenging but so satisfying too when you nail them. It might just be me but the ones in GTS felt very easy compared to GT7. S5 which I think was the rally stage was a total ****show for me....those stupid bumps at the end and the car landing in stupid fashion just killed me everytime.

It was opposite for me, I finally passed it by turning all the assists on AND turn up the exposure AND turn the steering sensitivity down.

This became easier with the update that came through yesterday. I did it pre update with TC1 but tested again post update with TC0 and found the car a lot more consistent.

im finding it really hard, I just clocked 180 miles and still couldn't get any better than 2.26.781 I'm using a controller.

@Savolainen83 The prize car for completing the S License in all Golds is the
X2019 Competition
Glad I just went for the license then. I was afraid it would be the Mazda 787B or something else I really want.

I guess I can turn assists on to get gold but why bother :) I rather keep the expensive dualsense controller from accidentally colliding with the wall 🤣 Plus I can't finish the rest anyway due to the Dirt bug.

can anyone help me get gold on this please. the best I can get is 2:26:781. I'm using a controller and I cant seem to get a better time.
Where exactly is it you’re struggling the most? I would say just keep trying as you’re relatively close but perhaps it’s not so helpful. I’m guessing you’ve tried messing about with some different TCS settings, off completely - 1 - higher? In different sections of the track?

Probably best to upload a replay of your lap on youtube from a solid camera view like bumper or in car view. Impossible to help without knowing more.

A huge key to this test was carrying as much speed through Au Rouge as possible. After I figured that out I concentrated on getting my braking points right so I could enter each corner at maximum traction, the rolled on the throttle nice and slow on the exit. I left it at silver for a few days but eventually golded it once I got more used to the game's controls. I did it on controller.

One piece of advice is that if you're struggling with the game's physics and controls, don't keep doing this test because it won't make you better lol. Go complete the various other tasks, especially online races. Eventually you'll just be better in general and will be able to adapt your new driving style to this test and watch the times come down quickly.

S10 is the only truely difficult one. And there have been definatly more difficult ones in other GTs. Even GtSports LH Diamond times were MUCH tougher to beat, at least half of them for sure.

Around 10 restarts because of Eau Rouge. Then nailed the rest of it, 2’23.7XX. Heard people talking about it quite a bit so expections were relatively high but it went fairly smooth. All S and all gold done.
INSANE lap time. Some of you guys...
