INSANE lap time. Some of you guys...
That’s too kind. I wouldn’t call it insane but rather alright. Had a friend the other day who’s usually quite equal with me and he put down a 2:21 (after quite a few restarts though of course). For now, I’ll just settle with the gold medal and see if I get the urge to improve it eventually.

Probably about half an hour to complete a whole lap😂 The mileometer said 24 miles by the time I passed but I reckon most of that was failed attempts to get past au rouge! Got silver on my first successful lap, which is good enough for me playing on controller.

Was surprisingly easy. I wouldn't say it was the hardest. To be fair, I was completely, overly built up to expect the worst possible, cant-do-this final test ever in the history of Gran Turismo. That's what everyone has made it out to be. It was 11:30 at night and I was also overly tired from a busy day at work and really didn't care if I pulled it off or not. First attempt was cake.....until I found the wet and overcooked the final slow chicane. I thought about it, decided that maximum FOV was required to see where the wet and dry spots were, and did the thing in that silly "roof top" view. No problem. If you're really frustrated, try it in that view. It works. Now to gold it lol.

I got the gold. It was on the first lap I was able to finish.

After my initial failures. I turned on countersteer assistance to weak. I was able to eventually handle eau rouge in a reasonable fashion. It's a good idea to get that right, so there's less pressure to maintain speed in other corners. I also braked too early for the final chicane.

Only two tests left to gold are the dirt ones in IA and S.

Not sure if we're even driving in the same conditions after the latest patch. The demo shows a daytime setting, I'm driving in sunset with what looks like a noticably narrower dry line.

Took me around an hour last night. First I tried with all aids off, except for ABS on 1. Way too tricky for me on the Dualsense.

Eventually put the Driving Line on, and set TC to 1, and the car was a little more manageable. Blanchimont was a total lottery for me though.

What a pain of license!

Yesterday I managed to get silver, what was also my first finished lap.

Whole backstraight (before chicane), I was driving extremely slow bcs I don't see where dry line is...
Would driving line help?
Ghost is only distraction to me.

Not sure will I manage to gold that.

Any help, tip?

Put on tcs5 and the countersteering assist to strong (only time i ever used it). It makes you a little slower but you stay on track. The is forgiving

Druze meni je bila laksa nego formula po laguna seca hahaha.
I found that race easyer than driving formula f1 on laguna seca.
Btw u can see wet area on the sides cos its wet and shiny than dry area.

It´s an realy hard Test.... but i think wee need 10 or 20 more of them so it calls. extreme Super Lizenz.

I dont knoe what Time i have there, after my Work i will look for. But it needs ~2 Hour´s of my Time to get it Gold.

Don't give up! It's not that hard as it may look. You have a very good margin for gold with the DS5, even without ABS/TC. 0.8s below gold target, very conservative lap (screwed up the first corner). Follow the dry line, easy on the throttle. Try to complete a full lap first.

Finally got gold with 1:25.201!

There was some mistakes and early braking at end, but gold is in pocket.

(This was on the day one release).

While it wasn't an easy test by any means, it was actually easier for me than some of the other licenses like S-4 and S-7.

It still took me about roughly 30 minutes to get Gold. Really it's less about speed or skills and more about trying to avoid touching the wet parts of the track. Turning on the Demonstration ghost really helps here.

I turned my TCS to 1 for the majority of the course before switching it to 2 just before Blanchimont to prevent the sudden "snap oversteer" that happened to me twice before.

So... having watched a variety of streamers struggle with the final S licence - how long did it take you to complete it?

Looks like GT7's answer to GT4's iA-15, imo!

One lap, Porsche 917K, Spa Francorchamps on a half wet track, Racing Hard tyres.
🥇2:26.000 🥈2:32.000 🥉2:43.600
I did quite well on All of the Licenses until S-10. I just feel that the 917 in S-10 behaves Totally UNREALISTIC . Constand spinning out, and the 917 acts like it has ZERO Breaking ability. GT-7 calls itself a Racing Simulator, but Cars act like this on Gare ICE NOT on patches of water on the Road?

I got gold in my first go TC1 and all other assists off and go gold in attempt 3 when I turned on Anti spin to see how much of a different it would make.

I had a much harder time with IA 10 in the supra 😡

For me it was fairly easy this one, took me 4-5 retries until I golded it. Some other challenges though.. like s-4.. I think I wrote something like 300km to get it. Or the drift ones... OMG.. a nightmare. I think having a steering wheel helps a lot in the challenges. I only switched to controller for the drifts ones. Also, everyone has his own nemesis :)

For me GT7 licenses are on par with GT5 in regards of difficulty. I remember that Gran Tour Eiger Nordwand challenge.. I was playing like 2 hours straight to get it right.

Well, I guess you are talking the S-4 one, not the IA-10 (that was the Mercedes Nurburgring)... exactly.. rrright?? That was the toughest one of the whole bunch.

So it doesn't matter whether it's an IA-10 or S-04.. both are a walk in the park compared to the S-10.. I've read/heard from very, very many very good drivers that they all unanimously choose the S-10 as by far the hardest see what you have to do in GT7.

Took me over 2 hours and 200 miles on the car in one sitting to gold this with 2:25.8, only managed to complete 3 laps. If I was lucky enough to make it past Eau Rouge I would lose it at Blanchimot about 95% of the time. I couldn't see the dry line in that section at all, just hanging on for dear life. S1-9 were a cakewalk compared to this one.
