Saker Sports Cars originated in New Zealand and have been manufactured from 1989 to the present day. The Saker car is named after the bird of prey, found in the Middle East and Central Asia. Since 2003 Sakers are produced in the Netherlands by Saker Sportscars.

The Saker RapX is a very light car, 785 kilos. Powered by a Subaru original block developing 272 hp (but it can be pushed up to 400). It is not huge given the GT3 engine, but the weight content allows fairly exceptional performance figures such as the 0 to 100 km/h run in 3.4 s.

The transmission and suspension have the same origin. The chassis is supported by tubular steel with a chromium molybdenum hoop. The front axle is easily replaceable, whereas the body has fifteen different polyester components.

......Voted cuz:
1. That back. It's a little more....advanced than what you'd normally see on a garden-shed special. Clearly some thought went into making this car.....
2. I assume that bottle of whiskey is part of the deal when you purchase the vehicle.... You may need to be a little sozzled if you wanna drive this on a b-road, what with it's scrape-the-fallen-leaves-off-tarmac ride height....

(Oh wait, is it scotch? Cognac? What alchoholic beverage Netherlands is famous for?)
