When's the next season starting then? I suppose my school term will have started before it, unless there's just a two week gap or something...

Ya I'm a bit worried about this. Starting August 15 until September 4 I'm going to be really busy. And then school starts. Its going to be a bummer if I can't make it.

If I can't make a lot of the races, would you guya want to do a similar series at different times because I love racing with you guys and I don't want to stop.

Also...

Award points with a two point difference from 1st to last, let everyone score, it will make it closer and keep drivers interested in the series till the end.

Lets say we have a full field of 16.

1st takes 32 points for the win, therefore last takes 2 points.
32-30-28-26-24-22-20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2

I like this as this will make your race more important especially for those who are disconnected as some people are quite inconsistent with lap times and so your lap times will become more important

As for your team question, yes it indeed seems pretty sure that we'll have teams, although I haven't heard of any forming up yet. Whatever teammate(s) I get, I'm definitely not running in the old Supra, I'm more than an underdog with it

I can assure you now that the supra will not be 1 of the cars at the moment it looks like the nsx, gtr or the lexus sc something as they are already competitive with each other i think the pp will be limited and the only thing you could adjust would be suspension gearing or aero

If we do teams I want either agent or dig.

Funnily enough, if he beats me and gets within the 15 point range, he would have been champion should he have kept the Laguna Seca victory But we shall not speculate things like that, don't we?

I'd love to hear some official news about the next season - pretty much everything is still unconfirmed - the calendar, the cars, the teams, and the times... I'm actually fine with the series taking place during a school week, I'm not really that much of a keen student, it only does good to focus on something else than school from time to time.

Whatever happens, I beg that it's not on Saturdays (except if it's somewhere on midday or really late evening) - I really want to hang out with you guys, but can't do that if it interferes with my promising looking TOCA career

Homes, I've been in quite a few league in many games, and this is by far the best one I've been in, and I trust that you will make good decisions for the next season, but I have a few requests:

1: We have a longer season
2: We have teams
3: We race Nordschleife
4:More variety of carz
5: We do Suzuka again
6: We do Seca again
7: I hate asking this because it's extremely selfish, but to race on Mondays the same time or an hour earlier. And to not start until September or to Race 2 or 3 races in August. I'm so busy starting on the 15th of August through the 4th of September and I really don't want to miss anything. And I'm busy on every day of the week except Monday once September comes.

So once again, I know its selfish, but everyone please consider it.

I think that is a yes to almost all those requests. I don't mind racing mondays and was thinking of changing to mondays anyway, but I will run that by everyone else just to be sure. Get out my way....I'm chasing Carb....just kidding. I am useless around Suzuka and I wont get a chance to get a few laps in before Thursday...so its anyone's game.

Regarding Mondays, I think you may find a few guys pull out, but I am sure their spots will be filled again by other interested drivers.

This series has been great, its the first time I have ever done any online racing and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Homes for the invite and putting this together, you rock. I am sure the next will be even better.

Also..sorry for any bumping that I may have done, I just love close racing (homes knows) and if I get into a close race weather its for last or first, I just want to be as close and as fair as possible. I also think for some drivers that Lag amounted to alot of misjudged decisions.

Anyway...may the best driver win...good luck guys.

I broke into the magical 1'56 range last night... although just barely... but I think I've found the pace that I've been missing on this track for a long time. Seems like a real tough party coming up since everyone definitely wants to do their best in the finale to still grab any possible positions...

Suzuka is a track that punishes mistakes severley. Once you are in the sand it takes ages to get out and the worst place to go in the sand is at the first corner. So, to try and prevent accidents there.....

This thursday we will do a rolloing start.

I will add 1 lap to the number of laps. when the lights go green we start a 'formation lap' with no overtaking until after the 1st corner on lap2.

The first corner is defined as the gentle right AND INCLUDES the sharp right at the end of the main straight.

The pace on the formation lap will be controlled by the pole sitter and he must please try and drive around half to 75% of race speed. Once we get to the chicane before the straight the pole sitter can accelerate up to race speed at any point he wishes.

The only time anyone is allowed to overtake anyone else is if a car ahead goes off the track. If you go off the track during the formation lap, you loose your position and cannot overtake to get back to your grid position. You must slot in anywhere you can without coliding with another driver. The formation lap is officially complete at the exit of the first corner on lap2. Drivers are not allowed to brake hard or make and dangerous moves on the formation lap to try to displace another driver.

I will save a replay of the race and drivers will be deducted an appropriate amount of points for any misbehaviour on the formation lap.

If this works well, we will do it in the next championship at races where there is a tight 1st corner.

Usually lag problems at the start seem to clear up by the end of teh 1st lap, so if there is any lag on thursday, it will hopefully be gone by the real start of the race and we can have a nice clean start.

Good idea. What if someone is goiing like 20 MPH slower than everyone else on the warm up lap, may I pass?

No passing unless its to pass a car that is off the track.

I doubt anyone in their right mind will be going slowly though, because they will be too far behind by the time they get to the the exit of the 1st corner on the 2nd lap to be in contention.

If anyone does go too slowly on the formation lap I might deem that to be an attempt to displace another driver and the necessary points deduction or DQ will be enforced.

Im sure it will work out fine.

two things normally they do formation lap at 50 mph but i would say 75mph is better and if we do start September we could get a lot of test ing done from now till then so we can work out what to limit the leaders by or how many bhp they should lose etc. and a few little races as well
