Theres no drafting advantage gained during qualifying.
I am thinking that during qualifying a cheated lap gets recorded and places a driver on pole, however it may register that as a non classified lap. Thats why the grid gets reshuffled accordingly. This has happened to the grid at every race.

The quali system is really weird in this game, sometimes the results get completely mixed (especially when the black screen lasts long). I unfortunately doubt there's anything we can do about it, so we just need to hope that when we qualify well, we also earn the grid we got in the race itself.
Suzuka is going to be a tight one. Narrow circuit which penalizes for mistakes... Everyone should be careful not to nudge another driver onto the sand, because that can really mess up the race.

We will have to remove the pole point for the next championship because there is definitely a problem in the game.
I thought scalebreaker got pole with that 1.33 lap but then he went out of the track screen and back to the track again just before we started quali, so he got sent to last on the grid.
So qsilver gets last nights point for pole right?

The 1'33 time had to be illegal, so nothing should be awarded for it. As for the speed of scalebreaker's car, I'm positive it accelerates faster, which would mean that the transmission was set up...

I definitely only allowed the calsonic gtr from the recommended tab, so I can't see how any adjustments could have been made...

@bouncyflabs - 20-30 laps is actually really good fun. We thought it would be too much at first but the races are really enjoyable.
We did 15 laps of le sarth which took about 1 hour. That was a looong race...

I'm occasionally visiting bubble's website too, but I'd like to see an update as we are now closing in on the penultimate round. The Fuji results still have to wait until agent's position is decided however...

I think it's done on the amount of laps/track position as I would have been 4/5 but was 7th on the grid due to me entering just as the count down started though.

Ya man it will be great! I'm thinking of doing some practice races there with some people from this championship if they want to join. Carb, would you like to do this?
If I am going to win one race this season, obviously it would have to be Suzuka but it's my best chance too.

I agree that 1.33 was very fast but scale was very fast. I could hold up with him when I could use his slip. After he made a nasty pass on me I could not catch up again. My quali of 1.55.2 was not easy and I could not match that in the race. scale's car did not out eccel mine when I had the same exit speed.
He is just 1 fast mother on track. But yes 1.33 is hard to swallow

I dont know how he was soo quick on the first section, i was able to keep up on all the other sections during qualifying. I just think that with limited aids the race can be much more intense and funner. With teams for next season it will be all about setups for everyones driving style and how the car handles. I feel like next season it will be much more competitive because of the team system. people will finally be able to work with someone during the race knowing that its there teammate. Just a quick thought that i had for next season is allowing mics. i mean like mute everyone besides the people on your team so you can communicate with your teammates on pitting on much more .

you'll probably call me Noob but as I'm still learning to use my wheel I use srf as it helps me keep control when the car gets lively.
I've only done 1 race with my ds3 and that was with no aids at le mans and I got fourth otherwise I end up being not competitive at all like my first two races
and you have all seen that I do have the pace (fastest quali time at le mans). so keeping aids on keeps the pack close

wilfred im not calling anyone a noob i totally understand you situation. I just think some aids help out too much but thats how the games aid system works. If I were to use aids like the active steering and such then im sure it would help me out too but I just like the challenge of driving with no tc and all other aids.

The only problem is that without aids, one places themselves into a disadvantage, but yeah, it's their own choice really.
I'm fine even if we go aid-less for the next season, I've got experience with that from TOCA... the only things I can't drive without aids are powerful road cars with sports or comfort tires.

As for your team question, yes it indeed seems pretty sure that we'll have teams, although I haven't heard of any forming up yet. Whatever teammate(s) I get, I'm definitely not running in the old Supra, I'm more than an underdog with it
When's the next season starting then? I suppose my school term will have started before it, unless there's just a two week gap or something...
