Hey with the extra time off and a busy November. I should probably put some work into the 2025 Endurance League season. As much I would like to keep the multi class races. We only have 5 to 6 regulars. So I not sure if this is realistic. This is meant as pro level sport car racing series. So I won't go below the Gr.3 class. So what's everyone else thoughts Gr.1, Gr.2, or Gr.3. Or something more specific within them like Super GT or Group C.

I think GR2 would be a great series to run. We have never run them before, maybe it would draw a few more entrants.

Oh, hey someone new. Come in come in. Yes we are new drivers of any skill. Welcome to Saturday Night Endurance League. Our IMSA / WEC style flagship series is out of season until January.

We currently in the middle of a limited run league called 1,600 Miles Series. It's a classic road car and race car series loosely based off an event from Gran Turismo 4. All races of the league are about 2 hours duration. We have currently have already ran 3 of the 8 points. Next race is scheduled 10/12/24 at Le Mans No Chicane layout. Details for this league are available in post #4. Send a friend request to TheColdWarriors if still interested.

The more I think about it. The I'm lending towards a Group C season. Why 1st of all because I've been do so for some time. And I think it's good to time do it. For starters as permanent 2025 Le Mans race will be on the No Chicane layout. Players just got the Mazda for free with no wear.

Then I feel MRs car won this big update. This includes the Group C cars. All 5 cars are easier to drive than they were before the update. The Jaguar's stability issues seems to gone. Though I still need to test that out more.

I do have desire to do a Super GT series as well but, I would prefer to wait on that for now. Motegi may be on it's way. I would prefer to wait and include it since it's a track on their schedule. I also feel I still need to do more research into Super GT operations. Maybe next year's Fall series.

Last season you guys ran Group C because they were eligible, why a second year in a row? Don't be afraid to try new things

What do you. I ran Porsche 919 most of the season. I only swapped to the Mercedes for I think 2 or 3 races to make things more competitive with Michel-QC_21's Mazda 787B. Then swapped back to the more modern 919 for the remainder of the season. After someone moved up to the Gr.1 class. And ran the same Mazda LM55 they ran the previous season. So who needs to try new things again?

That was mainly due to me not having time to play video games all day, I only get to drive for a little while on weekend mornings.
I seem to remember you in the Group C Nissan, don't remember the racing series though.
I have tried numerous different cars in GR3.
I still stand by my statement though.
How about a spec series where we all run the same different car each week? I gets kinda boring running the same car race after race. Just trying to give you some ideas, people ain't actually beating the door down to run this series.

I ran the Nissan for the 2023 season of the Endurance League. Which I really need a better name for.

Anyways I tried a make-one rotating series for 2023 Fall season. Attendance was low or non existing. Two of the weeks got canceled.

Meanwhile I had 3 players volunteer to move up to the Gr.1 class by the end of season. Do to the success of the Hypercar prototype class. Both IMSA and WEC are seeing a resurgence in popularity.

OK, hope it works out for you then

I'm not looking to turn our flagship series into touring car racing. Gran Turismo primary focus is sports car racing. And I want the flagship series to represent top class sports car racing of some variety.

The Group C era of prototype was a popular era for both fans and manufacturers. We missing some highlight manufacturers representatives from the era like Toyota and Peugeot.

Am I 100% sure this will draw. No I'm not but, I've tried that I would. And those didn't work either. Gr.3 is supposed to be a popular class. Last season the class fell apart to the point they couldn't run Watkins Glen.

As said I've been wanting to do a Group C for a while. It's one of my personal favorite eras that I unfortunately never got to experience. I do have desire to do either a Gr.2 or Super GT specific series. Super GT run a pretty short season so it would work much better for the series anyways.

Reminder our next race at Le Mans was moved October 19th. About 12 days from this post. Also I've made some minor updates to the forum. I'm also probably going to with a Group C focused 2025 endurance league. Collect these 5 cars Jaguar XJR-9, Mazda 787B, Sauber Mercedes C9, Nissan R92CP, and Porsche 962C from legends if you don’t already own them. So you have more choices. Recent prices range from 1.5 to 3.7 Million credits. Exact details are TBA. Oh and don't forget to about your track picks.

Hey @fastone371 I have an interesting about GT7 physics. You may be able to answer with this upcoming race. Do pop-up lights aerodynamically affect your car? I'm curious if you have noticed if the C4 is slower on the straight with the lights open?

I don't think they affect aero but I would have to test to be sure.
Realistically they should. I'm curious if they put in that level of detail. It would easiest to confirm it in a controlled environment with no wind. Unlike Gran Turismo for their time trials. I don't believe we can turn off wind.

You can't necessarily turn off the wind but you can turn off the changing weather.
Turn on Equal Conditions Mode and the weather should stay the same

I know about the presets. The issue is that the time of day would have to be changed. Without the wind changing to properly test if pop-up lights aerodynamically effect your performance when they are open.
