I might have to start joining in on this, looks like fun. See lots of Mazda 3 and 6 MPS's here so that is an easy one. :)

Not sure if I see enough MazdaSpeed 6's to get the point here - better be on the lookout! Good categories Joey! 👍

One of my coworker owns a Mazdaspeed6, I guess that doesn't work now does it? :P

Good categories. I've got things planned for all categories - and an anchient 2CV Yellow Convertible which suits categories C and D :D

Only gas-guzzlers are a problem. Apart from rare Hummers...

Around me the Mazadspeed 6 is rare enough where it's cool to spot one but not so rare that you don't see at least 1 or 2 every couple of weeks. Kinda like Evo's and STI's.

I just checked - Mazdaspeed/MPS products aren't sold here. Even Evos and STIs are rare enough to be considered photo-worthy :(

One question on the Mazdaspeed products: We're counting the Mazdaspeed3, Mazdaspeed6, and Mazdaspeed Miata/MX-5, right?

MPS covers the 3 and the 6, and I see no reason why the Miata couldn't be added. Its not like many were sold anyway...

I thought we were just looking for the 6 - Joey has made two posts on the subject, neither of which mention any of the other cars. And anyway - the list of categories I have in my car says just the 6. :D

I know a car that covers categories 1, 2 and 4. Can I use it for all three (Doug probably knows what it is)?

What is it, a Hummer H1 or something?

I could find a car for "Who the hell would buy that?" Read: Pontiac Aztek. :D

Nah, the Hummer H1 can seat 4 people in at least partial comfort. This can barely seat 2 people, and in poor comfort.

Read: Pontiac Aztek.
Too easy. Not original enough. And in any case, barring the outside bits, the Aztek wasn't that bad. My entry was terrible in all respects.

Mazdaspeed6 and Mazda 6 MPS's only please, I had to add the MPS thing because as far as I can tell that's what it's called in Europe.

Dodge Dakota Convertible?

Slowest Yellow Car. It is slow, it has 4 wheels. I win.

Least efficient Vehicle. 5 MPG. Comfortable? No, cargo space, not really. hmm, sounds pretty ineffcient.

I know there's a yellow Sprint convertible somewhere in the area. If I can remember where it is...

Slowest Yellow Car & Least Valuable Convertible

Three-cylinder Sprint Convertible.
Might also be my "Who the hell would buy that?" entry. Because it's a two-seater 3-cylinder Sprint with practically no trunk.

Ooh. That's cutting it a little close to my "least valuble convertible" and "who would buy that" car. I'm actually kinda worried.

My cousin and I spent a while 6 hours out driving the other day--in his car, a red Cobalt SS (for "door panel" reference)--trying to get some good shots. I'll put all my final entries here, but I'm still working on the Speed 6.

Slowest Yeller Car:

Really, in America it's hard to come by a car that truly is mind bogglingly slow. Even this thing will go 80 and get there before time runs out.

Least Valuable Convertible:

Hey, it's the only choice we have over here.

Who the Hell Would Buy That?:

Most Inefficient:

I'm still working on this one, too. I'm not sure if this thing even runs, judging by all the rust and stuff. Oh, and it has 4 seats.

Speed 6:

That's my buddy's Hatch to the left. It'd probably give that 6 a run for its money, really.

The Aspen is one of those vehicles I had in mind for that category

Who the hell would buy that?

Three entries:
Suzuki X-90

Rebadged Suzuki:

And I say that with the knowledge that I would quite readily buy that.
Cadillac DeVille:

That one actually made me literally laugh out loud, because the reason no one should buy it is sitting right in front of it.

Joey D
The most inefficient vehicle
Suzuki X-90:

I mean, come on: a 1.6L 4 cylinder that only manages 22MPG combined despite only weighing 2500 lbs (even funnier, why does the significantly heavier, more powerful and far more practical 4 door Suzuki Sidekick Sport manage essentially the same mileage?)? It has pretty much no storage capacity, hardly fits two people at all, much less in comfort and cost $20,000 when new. It also looks like a Honda Del Sol (which isn't the best car to base something on in the first place, styling wise) that someone thought would look better with a lift kit and more bloated body panels. I bet the hardtop even leaks.

Joey D
Slowest yellow car
I briefly thought about travelling to Newark to find "that Geo Metro," but I realised upon reflection that a Geo Metro probably makes a Ford Fiesta look as fast as a 240SX in comparison.
If only the X-90 was yellow...

Joey D
Least valuable convertible
Suzuki X-90:

Rebadged Suzuki:

Cavalier Convertible:

Cutlass Supreme:

Note to haters that I actually like exactly 1/2 of those convertibles, but they are still pretty worthless.
The X-90 is still trash, though.

You guys have till 10 or 11pm EST tomorrow night to get your entries in. I'm guessing Doug is cooking something up.

My entries will be in late this evening. For now, I might as well get the freebie:

I've actually seen three so far this week!

Suzuki X-90:
If only the X-90 was yellow...

Who the hell would buy that? .....Suzuki X-90....YEP!
Most inefficient vehicle?.............Suzuki X-90....YEAH!
Least valuable convertible?.........Suzuki X-90....Definitely YES!
Slowest Yellow Car?..................Suzuki X-90....Mmmm?

It IS now!! You're wish is granted!

This disgraceful 'Thing' should win ALL categories!

Okay, here we go!

Why the Hell Would You Buy That?

2007 Toyota Tundra: Easily one of the stupidest full-size trucks you can buy. I love how Toyota is giving out 0% financing, $2000 cash back, and still reeling from the four-star crash ratings.

Inefficient Vehicle

2007 Ford Expedition XL. I believe these suckers are big enough where they can dodge EPA tests. You're going to be damn-lucky to get any better than 11 or 12 MPG, not to mention finding one that isn't piloted just by some 5'4" lady on her cell phone...

Slowest Yellow Car

This is a 2006 Hummer H3 (I believe), so we're doing with the old version of the I5. Good for 0-60 in roughly 11 seconds, nearly 18 seconds in the quarter mile, and tops out at 97 MPH with a stiff wind behind it. Yeah, its a screamer!

Least Valuable Convertible

Thats an early J-Body Pontiac Sunbird Convertible there. I couldn't get the full "rustic" effect of the car in the shot (there was A LOT of rust), but you can tell that you'd be lucky to even get $250 out of it... Even in Michigan. Funny thing was, it was a Mom and three kids... Not a safe choice...
