The most inefficient vehicle: YSSMAN and his 2007 Ford Expedition XL, I've never been in such a stupid and pointless large SUV in my entire life. Sit in the back and you will be crying for fresh air and space in a matter of minutes. The Expedition XL is the only vehicle I've ever gotten car sick in while sitting in the back. The fuel mileage is also horrid as well.

That's all it took to win that?! You're telling me a vehicle with seven seats and better fuel economy than its competitors is going to take that category?! I saw countless extended-length Expeditions this week - hell I even saw some extended-length Navigators. Bad category - way too subjective, and definitely not precise enough! 👎

YSSMAN
Actually it was, but only for 2004. They sold so few of the car they just decided it was better to altogether cancel it. They had the standard sportbacks, and then the Ralliart sportbacks at the same time. There is a kid in Cascade, near where I went to High School who has a yellow Ralliart Sportback.

At the upper-right hand corner of this image, taken on July 22, 2006, you can see a Lancer Sportback RalliArt. This isn't an entry - just a testament to the fact that it was sold here. I've seen a handful in my whole life.

Rust - it's too dry to find rust on anything but Alfa Romeos, and I doubt these actually run.

Lancer RallyArt - not sold.

Nobody Knew About - the best I could fork out here is a Mazda 3 Hatchback, rather than the long-back. Because leasing-companies sell the long-back like muffins.

Sports-car - Didn't exactly understand the requirements.

Time to bust out the old digicam, the Canadian east coast will rule the rust category. :D

- BONUS SPOT: Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart. You don't see them too often, and I'm not sure why. I will give bonus-bonus points to anyone who can find a Lancer Ralliart Sportback...

We don't get them either, although we got the rarer Ralliart Magna if you'll accept that.

- SPORTS Car: No, this isn't a Ferrari or Lamborghini... I'm talking about a car soley dedicated to a particular sport or sports team.

So you mean a white racing/rally/drag etc car?

- Will 'ermine' white with a Citroen sherwood green stripe count?

But if Brad means just general Evolution models then it's not so hard.

No I don't think he does, it was a bit of a joke, hence the wink smilie.

So you mean a white racing/rally/drag etc car?

I was thinking more esoteric... Like a Prodrive Impreza, a Peugeot 205 Roland Garros or a Volkswagen Golf.

Actually I agree, that was a bad category, way to open ended now that I think about it.

And I'll confess the results were fudged a bit based on the fact the way it was when I first went through it made it so there were 6 people with 1 point. We need to think of a way to do a tie breaker if such happens....maybe whoever takes the pictures of the most bonus cars or something. Sorry about that :guilty:.

Okay kids, sorry about the confusion. I think some of the categories are fairly straightforward, but I'll help to better define them.

SPORTS Car: Sometimes there are cars or tucks that are painted, stickered, decorated, etc to demonstrate one's love for a particular sport or a sports team. There are cars that can be painted like race cars, trucks covered in cammo tape with hunting stickers on the back, or even cars that are painted to look like the uniform of a given team. Here is an example:

That Jeep is dedicated to the University of Michigan Wolverines (the wrong team, IMO ha ha... Joey will understand), but there are many other teams or sports you could do. I don't care if its the Denver Broncos, the Boston Red Sox, Manchester United, Wolfsburg Grizzly Adams, or Aussie National Footbal. Show me your SPORTS Cars.

BONUS: Lancer Ralliart or Ralliart Sportback

I had assumed that the same Lancer was sold in most other countries in similar spec, so that was my mistake.

That would be the 2004 Ralliart here in the US, and I believe that model carried on until 2006. I'm a bit flexible with the title, so any Ralliart model would be worth it I guess... But I'd prefer them to be as new as possible. But again, I'm flexible. If its an awesome example, its an awesome example...

Extra bonus-points (not really, but personal Kudos!) go to anyone who can find a Sportback...

They were only sold in the US for a year or so, so any spots are just awesome...

So we're looking for non-Evo Lancers, right?

So we're looking for non-Evo Lancers, right?

I'd prefer it, but if all you have are Ralliart Evolutions, that that will be what we have to use.

Damn, and just today the official bus of the Maccabi Petah-Tikva team passed the bus I was riding on my way to Piano lesson. Damn. And it had a nice livery, too.

YSSMAN, do you think team busses should be part of the deal? It'll only take me about an hour to get to Paul Brown or Great American and surely I'll find a bus or something laying around. Eh?

I'd take it, unless there are a lot of objections...

So would my pic of that monte carlo qualify for Sports car? The pic was taken yesterday. I will go back to that place to see if i can get a better pic

May as well... Its a NASCAR-themed car after all. Any of the Dale Jr, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, etc models are fair-game here.

Finding a sports themed car here's going to be a pain in the ass... The Habs are on vacation, the Expos don't exist anymore (but then again, no one ever cared about baseball over here)... leaves me with the Alouettes, but even that is going to be hard.

Unless... I might have an idea. 💡

Bugger, bugger, bugger, bugger, BUGGER!

I followed one of these just NOW:

I didn't have my camera on me (and I was driving). Then, as I'm waiting at a junction, ANOTHER ONE drives across in front of me!

This calls for a stake-out!

YSSMAN, I'd like to know your criteria concerning modified cars for the Fastest Car category.

Any of the Dale Jr, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, etc models are fair-game here.
Kick ass. Half of the Monte Carlos in town are some not-really-special NASCAR version. What about homologation specials?
M5Power
Who the hell would buy any of them?
I would buy precisely 3 of them.
M5Power
Not only extremely inexpensive, but a horrible, horrible vehicle.

I object.

Here are my spots today.

Lancer Ralliart

Fastest White car Havent found the white lambo's and AMG's yet but heres what i saw today. I dont know which one is faster
