Jeff, as I said before, doing 7 laps with a car close behind and never losing your own is an achievement. You did a very good race and fast laps don't make up for anything if the consistency isn't there! đź‘Ť

Blitz, RSRacer has been practising almost everyday this week, so I guess you'll get a reply from him. Anyway, send him a PSN message, maybe he didn't visit eutechnyx these last few days?

There's a war going on in the leaderboard :D, times are dropping fast and 1st place has been changing hands between MHailwood and Tunrupdaheat. Meanwhile, "arvore" finally surpassed his invalid laptime and Blitz suddenly showed up, although clearly needing a few more practise sessions :)

Current Leaderboard (TOP TEN and other ROC players):

1. Turnupdaheat -1:36,92
2. MHailwood - 1.37,13
3. AlanG184 - 1:37,47
4. GTP_Theewar - 1:38,71
5. GTP_Hun - 1:38,74
6. mhm66 - 1:38,82
7. jjaisli - 1.39,52
8. arvore - 1.39,61
9. UKOG-Geordie - 1:39,79
10. cooldawn - 1:40,22
11. FerrariPro - 1:40,67
...
14. ukog-dyer - 1:41,07
15. RSRacer - 1:41,39
16. GTP_Madbigdog - 1:41,41
...
18. frawe - 1:41,64
...
27. Shaggy_Alonso - 1:42,96 (TC/SC)
28. TheBig1 - 1:43,16
...
36. Blitz187 - 1.43,66

Times in Grey are out of the "leaderboard competition" because the drivers concerned have won their races.

Times in Red are made with assists and therefore not valid

Hi Blitz, it was good to practice with you last night. In fairness, you were dirving the default online car and your times could improve by unlocking the car in arcade and making some settings changes. For me, getting the camber right is key. Take a look at this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camber_angle

It was funny later on when I went into do a Time Trial. It took me a little while to realise that my 37:18 time had been replaced by a 37:13! I was determined to get it back and put in a fair few laps but the best I could manage was a 37:14. Aghhh! So close but so far.

After a while I got an invite go online with a few lads and they were racing a lot of the older cars (250 LM, 330 P, 512S and 512M) with no assists so there was plenty of slipping and sliding going. After all this I went back to Time Trial the 360 GT and it felt far more stable than the others and up came the 36:92!

Thanks! đź‘Ť I'm going to unlock the car when I get home again... didnt have time last night.. .only finished the beginner events and got the 250 TR... hopefully I can make some adjustments to help me out before my race... saw a post from Jeff earlier that it took quite a long time, hopefully I can utilize my know-how from GT in this game :P

Ok, I have received PMs relating to these 3 races:

FerrariPro vs. turnupdaheat - winner: turnupdaheat

ukog-dyer vs. AlanG184 - winner: AlanG184

mhm66 vs. GTP_Madbigdog - winner: mhm66

Congratulations to the winners, comiserations to the losers and thank you both winners and losers for taking part in this! :) đź‘Ť

GTP_Madbigdog, meanwhile, asked me for my car setup and, using it for the first time during the races with mhm66, managed to beat his previous best lap time so far (1:41,41) by almost 2 seconds (1:39,42).

He asked if he is still in contention to win a lucky loser slot for Round 2 and if he could try to do an even better laptime until tomorrow or if - after doing his Round race - no better time would be considered.

My reply to such a question, and I'd like all involved to know this (especially the ones that have lost their round races) is exactly what is written in the main thread about it. I'll quote myself now:

Hun200kmh
Now, how do we select the lucky losers? Simply, it will be done by checking, at the end of each Round's deadline, the "Hall of Fame" game leaderboards with the relevant car/track combo. Best time(s) there will grant access to the lucky loser slot(s) and, therefore, to the next round.

So, the competition for the 2 lucky loser slots is on until the Round deadline.

I will now update the relevant posts/threads, but will start by posting the current status of the 360GT / Misano leaderboard:

Current Leaderboard (TOP TEN and other ROC players):

1.MHailwood - 1:36,84
2. Turnupdaheat -1:36,92
3. AlanG184 - 1:37,47
4. mhm66 - 1:38,37

5. GTP_Theewar - 1:38,44
6. GTP_Hun - 1:38,74
7. GTP_Madbigdog - 1:39,42

8. jjaisli - 1.39,52
9. arvore - 1.39,61
10. UKOG-Geordie - 1:39,79
11. cooldawn - 1:40,22
12. FerrariPro - 1:40,67
13. ukog-dyer - 1:40,87
...
15. frawe - 1:40,92
...
17. RSRacer - 1:41,39
...
27. Shaggy_Alonso - 1:42,96 (TC/SC)
28. TheBig1 - 1:43,16
...
36. Blitz187 - 1.43,66

Times in Grey are out of the "leaderboard competition" because the drivers concerned have won their races.

Times in Green are the two best times from round 1 race losers, meaning the ones granting access to Round 2 according to the "lucky loser rule".

Times in Red are made with assists and therefore not valid

I've sent a message to cooldawn asking if he wants to race on saturday. Still haven't unlocked the car in single player (whch tournament do i do?), and i hate Misano in the opposite direction!
I responded, on Thursday I think, but no reply yet fella.

Today 1pm?

That ain't no boy. He's a genuine Alien.

(Just wait and watch his lap times after he starts tuning the car. :ill:)

Yeah he's the quickest guy I've met. When i saw my 1:37:18 was beaten (a time that was done mid race with Frawe) I wasn't surprised when I saw his name beside it.

Hey jjaisly i'm pretty sure that you can beat that 1.39.54, the fact that i'm faster than you it's fake and impossible.:scared: Or you just hate the track...

agreed! :sly:

jjaisli is through to Round 2, has his own event to practise, don't try to tease him

Meanwhile, just got a PSN PM from MHailwood with his race report. He won against cooldawn.

Congrats MHailwood, better luck next time cooldawn :) đź‘Ť

Well I just got well and truly OWNED! Outclassed from beginning to end.

At first we couldn't connect over PSN. First I tried to invite him twice and then he tried twice. In the end he reset his PS3 and the invite worked.

Anyways, well done MHailwood. I was trying to cap the gap as much as possible to pounce if he made a mistake but alas, no mistake was made. Gutted.

I suppose the tale to this story is that set-up really does count (as it should). I raced with the standard car and got my ass handed to me.

Expect a PSN message from him.

Well, it isn't one of my favorites, that's for sure. At least, not in this direction. If I hadn't already won my round I'd probably be trying to better my time now, even though I'm not a big fan of the 'lucky loser' rule. With the setup I used during the race, I think I could probably go a bit quicker, but probably not by much. Maybe into the 1:38s. But certainly not into the 1:36s.

I'm just shaking my head looking at the leaderboard. The top 3 really are in a different league.

Its a hollow victory. I managed to unlock the car last night and tweaked the camber. We weren't racing on a level playing field as cooldawn couldn't alter his set up and this showed when he understeered straight on at the first corner. I wish we could of been racing the DBR9 or Mclaren F1(even if it does handle like its in a cartoon) so everybody can change the set up and race on the same terms.

We talked about this through a PM.

I didn't pick the DBR9 or the McLaren or the Enzo because they all are, in different ways, difficult cars. Just as I did in the FC Edition of ROC, I picked for Round 1 an easy car, well-balanced and predictable. Fastest guys will always be fastest, but less experienced / skilled drivers don't deserve to be crushed in random pairings, using a car difficult to keep on the track.

In later rounds, after some selection has been made, more difficult conditions will happen.

As for how to unlock the 360 GT, it has been discussed in this thread and it was very easy and fast to do (takes six 3-lap races in arcade mode). Not exactly the car that only gets unlocked when you are about to finish career mode.

Got last night my latest race result:

arvore vs GTP_Theewar - winner: GTP_Theewar

Congratulations Theewar, better luck next time arvore, hope both you guys had fun! đź‘Ť

I am still without result from the Blitz87 vs. RSRacer pair but, considering this post from 3 days ago:

... Still havent heard anything from RSRacer :( Ive sent him two messages at the Eutechnyx forums, but no answer...

And the absolute silence from RS (together with his absence from PSN in the last few days); I will provisionally give Blitz187 a win by default in this Round. Until the end of this day, however, I can still reverse my decision if him or RSRacer tell me they had their race (I will consider the result then) or that it was Blitz who didn't show up at a pre-arranged time.

To give us a full 12 players lineup for Round 2, we still need to sort out who the lucky losers are, meaning who among Round 1 losers are the fastest 2.

So, here's the leaderboard (TOP TEN + ROC Players) as it was last night at 00:00 GMT (Same as it is now, actually):

Current Leaderboard (TOP TEN and other ROC players):

1. MHailwood - 1.36,84
2. Turnupdaheat -1:36,92
3. AlanG184 - 1:37,24

4. GTP_Hun - 1:37,72
5. GTP_Theewar - 1:38,01
6. mhm66 - 1:38,37

7. GTP_Madbigdog - 1:38,44
8. arvore - 1.39,13
9. jjaisli - 1.39,52
10. UKOG-Geordie - 1:39,79

11. cooldawn - 1:40,22
12. FerrariPro - 1:40,67
13. ukog-dyer - 1:40,87
...
15. frawe - 1:41,39
...
17. RSRacer- 1:41,39
...
27. Shaggy_Alonso - 1:42,96 (TC/SC)
28. TheBig1 - 1:43,16
...
36. Blitz187 - 1.43,66

Times in Grey are out of the "leaderboard competition" because the drivers concerned have won their pairings.
Times in Green are the best two laptimes from players that have lost their Round 1 races, making them the winners of the 2 available lucky loser slots.
Times in Red are made with assists and therefore not valid

So, here is the final list of Round 2 players (Blitz187 being the only provisional player in it)

1. UKOG-Geordie
2. Zedux
3. jjaisli
4. turnupdaheat
5. AlanG184
6. mhm66
7. MHailwood
8. frawe
9. GTP_Theewar
10. Blitz187
11. GTP_Hun
12. GTP_Madbigdog

Congratulations to all players envolved, regardless of results, hope you had fun practising and racing this Round! :)

Hey Hun...

That sounds so weird when I say it.. Anyway... The results are in.. RSRacer is through.. let me explain what happend. Due to conflicting shedules we could not race before the deadline. He had added me on PSN on Thursday I believe, but I didnt see him again til Saturday evening, at which I was watching a movie with the misses. Saw he had replied for a race when I switched back to the PS3, but he was offline... I didnt see him on Sunday. I turned on my PS3 today and saw he was online so asked him to race straight away and we did.

RSRacer qualified first and in the first race he was ahead from the start and slowly disappeared into the distance. You might have noticed I said first and thats because he got disconnected in our race around lap 6 and we decided to do another.

This time I was able to keep up a bit since I was warmed up from the previous race and starting to get the hang of things but around lap 4 I made a dumb mistake after the chicane by the overpass. Could not catch up anymore and RSRacer sailed off to the finish line.

Have to say thanks to RSRacer for the races and next time I join you guys I'll try to be a bit on time, but due to circumstances I was unable to comply to the deadline. Thanks for organizing the event aswell HUN! :)đź‘Ť

But I'm glad you guys did your race, it's always better that way.

I will change accordingly the opening post of this thread and also the Round 2 one.

Thanks for taking part in this, I hope to have you also in future events :)
