An AWD system can't fit in one of these without compromising anything, right?

Even if it could fit, it'd compromise the entire point of the car versus the WRX.

I'm surprised at the engine. Not just that they'd go even further into heady-revs territory, but that an engine like that is even competitive in SuperGT these days.

So did all the Japanese companies get together and decide their sporty models would get red piping along the edges of bodykits, or what?

If the engine was from the mid-90s. JAF GT300 cars are 400+ bare minimum.

I can't wait til the new-for-3035 WRX STi come out. With about 300 horsepower. For some reason they just like that number because it hasn't changed in 20 years.

This thing is epic! If a watered down version ever makes production I'd be really surprised if we see a Toyota version. They seem set on heading to a 3 sports car lineup and this would likely step on the toes of the middle tier car. Unless the lineup is planned to be Supra -> TRD 86 -> GT86 but from what I've read I get the impression it will be three distinct cars.

Time will tell but whatever happens, it's a good time to be a car guy.

Picked up my new 86 on Tuesday. I'm sure if I take it to a track I'll be wanting more power, but for everyday driving it has more than enough.

According to my niece (7) it isn't pink enough or have any zombies so she isn't too impressed. I don't know how to solve this problem yet...

Naturally, I love the Castrol one as well, but I'm really enjoying the Shelby one too, especially with the neat touch of the blue taillight surround matching the old car. Would've preferred the red of Scooter Patrick's car, but understand why they went with Shelby.

I'm all about that Yatabe yellow and green, man. Simple. Clean. Don't get me wrong, the Castrol and IMSA liveries are legendary, but the Yatabe is a classic that's recognizable, but not exactly everywhere.

The 99 livery look better on the widebody Celica. Make the GT86 a widebody and the liveries are better suited.
