I'll try again this weekend with custom diff in attempt to beat hash. I'll buy the Trans if it still allows use of h pattern.

just had a quick go at this yesterday and im really struggling..
So much understeer...

didnt tune the car other than motor upgrade, but still..

1.24:1?? at the moment using Bandits tune.

Still adjusting to the track because its been a few years since I raced around here. The last bend is doing my head in though because sometimes I cannot avoid the rumble strip on the right upon exit from the corner which results in me losing control.

Lastly despite having the same parts as Bandits my BHP is 265. Am I right in saying you did an oil change mate?

Had to go to a custom gearbox, and radical suspension retune, beef up front springs to .5 higher than rear and add lots of camber f/r and set the top speed at 137 mph. Tough parts were the first turn and the twisty bit from the first tunnel to uphill climb, bit of practice shaved a 1.5 sec from that sector and gold's your uncle. About 6 laps altogether. Payout sucks for a TT, not really worth the effort.

Nice time Sean_BBB
My new fastest laptime is a

1:27.324

(0ABS/NO TKS /NO SRF)

but there is still space for more ...

I am trying to get gold with a completely stock car (straight from the dealership, 436 PP I think), all assists off except ABS (because that is how it would be in the real car).

My best lap is 1:30.4 and I am really struggling to get the gold. The combination of my best splits would give 1.30.1.

I am wondering if it is even possible to do a sub 1:30 lap with a completely stock car. Anybody else had tried it? Want to try it? It is a real challenge for people that like to keep things as real as possible.

I will try others' tunes.

Great tune you made @BanditKarter22 :)
With his permission I modded the tune and made it a little bit more forgiving for us not so god like drivers
Sicrocco R '10 it's at 470 PP CS per Seasonal requirements.
Bandit took it for a spin said it was solid.
Thank you for the base tune bandit :) I am no good with FF from scratch.

I did the same, based off Bandit's tune, ran a mid 1:28, tweaked a few things and achieve a high 1:27.

I was at it for a solid hour, I just can't figure out where to gain more time.

Meh, as long as a bested those on my psn firends list, I'm happy. The trick is to only be friends with crappy GT6 players!! haha.

That's not true though, I have a couple of racing sim pros who constantly challenge me. Makes it fun, even though in most cases, I have to give up and bow down to them at some point.

Load BanditKarter's ghost and follow him, that will help a lot, following him I took an addional 2 seconds off my time after tuning the car. I've done mid 1:25's with my mod off his tune, I just clipped T4 a tad too much and voided the lap :(.
Over all the big time sinks on the lap are T4, T6, T8 and last hit them right and you will take a second or more off your lap.

I might be able to hit a low 27, not sure there's much else out there. We'll see how the diff helps. Trying to stay away from having to use the paddle shifter.

Currently my favorite part of the track is setting up the tight right hander from the top of forth, braking while throwing the car sideways to the right and nailing third gear and dropping the clutch powering out.

excellent tune there Bandit, takes a little time to get the feeling of how you drive fast with it, been playing about an hour now for a descent 24.567. Thanks!

Thanks! You've just got to be smooth and maximise the track! On the exits of slow corners especially, you have to feed in the power early but only a little, if you stamp your foot down while you're turning then the wheels spin up and it throws you wide.

See SRF isn't bad. lol
it doesn't improve your driving, it doesn't stop you from spinning out, it just makes it harder to slide.
Nearest I can figure is it likes slapping on 2 or 3 level softer tires on your car.
I found that quite by accident while doing some FITT tuning I had to take a short break so I took my as is and just slapped on the sport soft tires and I started running the same lap times I had when I did some test laps with SRF on by accident.

I tried for an hour last night and my best was a 1:30.4XX. Very difficult in this car with all aids off except ABS 1 on G27. I may try again today if I get a chance but it really made me hate this car.

Car was stock except for oil change.

thanks for the tips, I realized the early feed thing by trial and error, you need really good throttle control.
oh and a tip from me in return:
instead of the manifold, use the sports chip. You will gain 2 bhp more, same torque, better power to weight ratio (4.37 kg/BHP) Try it!

Oh right, didn't think of that one! I had changed mine to sports exhaust and catalytic converter which gave 4.39 kg/bhp I'll try it tomorrow when I'm next able to! :)
Tonight I'm doing some drink driving on GT6 with some friends!

I had trouble with VW's Subaru-style suspension tuning so I kept failing this one, so I installed a custom one, tuned it, did the Super Lap in record time, and when I fully upgraded it, the suspension tuning from the Super Lap made it a PP 550 monster. I am thankful for this event in the end.

And FYI, the Subaru tune I'm referring to does not mean the Scirocco R is 4WD, Subaru tunes their 4WD drivetrains to understeer so you can corner like how you would in an FR or MR car minus the oversteer that can happen. Originally the Scirocco R was going to have 4WD like the Golf R, but doing that would make the drivetrain and overall weight really heavy, so in order to handle like the Golf R, they tuned it to handle alike.

The argument above is to stop ignorant 🤬 from making GTPlanet a disrespectful community.

I know what you mean. There is so much understeer, it is unbelievable.

Brake in straight line. Turn in early. The rear will step out slightly putting you in a small slide. Wait for nose to point where you want to go and gun it.
