Scirocco Super Lap

did about 6 more laps.
A few more pals have run a lap - so now I have a cluster of ABS using powered up Magic Grippy SRF "Зараженные синие линии" to put me off!

Managed to gain 2 tenths early on the brakes for the final turn and stay in 5th and consistent power through it once the turn in is sorted out.

The Ghost lines killed me on the double left before the Cliff.

Would be nice to filter them a bit - Or at least just run with a single Tron light cycle to follow.

1m30.189

Is it possible to turn off the names? I don't mind the line itself, but the names block my view sometimes

*edit* ^^ n/m. I guess I just need to find the option

You can, for example, turn off all lines - entirely - and then choose to run with Bandit's lap only... Although, that might not help much, since he kinda darts off after T1... :mischievous: Unless you copy his ABS/SRF settings and do a better tune...

say that the scirocco to been the setting for now on gt6 which has more cost me, I've played only two sessions and in the two, I've been as 2 hours trying settings and 30 min driving xDD I love to be difficult, I hope this Monday night or Tuesday have some free time and to go to the limit of the adjustment! :P:P

I spend here to thank bandit for putting your adjustment I did lose 1 hour or 2 hours less looking for key parts to have the maximum power in the car, what to my costs me more find difficult :banghead: , this week I will try to give you some game fighting for the top 1

equally ramon has already tested the TT for which talking yesterday, about the top 1 if won't it easy

Try rising the ride height to the max, stronger rear springs or softer front springs, the same goes for dampers, add rear negative toe and positive front toe, maybe that will make the trick, no guarantees though.
Well, forget the max ride height, it doesn't work here (it works with the X-Bow combo though).
I'm using 120/80 ride height for the Scirocco.

I was getting on the brakes at "one one-thousand" past entry of the tunnel. Heavy but not for too long. Use the banking and float it in. Get back in it just before you reach the red sign to the right.

You don't downshift into 3rd for that last tunnel right?
Which tunnel are you on about? If you're on about the second tunnel then I use 3rd gear. But if you're on about the one at the end of the straight in the last sector then I shift down to 4th as I'm turning into that corner.

I'm with Bandit on the shift. drop to 4th from 5th if you don't have the right angle to take it in 5th. Most laps I end up in 4th on entrance to the curve following the tunnel, but I sure do like it when I can carry it in 5th!

@127.7xx no assists no SRF.
correction: 128.7xx. was working on memory and realized when I logged in to GT6 I had posted a false time. sorry.

It depends on your gearing, I use 4th even if I get the right line as for me it gives better drive out of the corner 👍

Yeah, in general true. Which is why more often than not I find myself in 4th. But the few times I've hit it "right" in 5th, my exit speed has been much higher and I'm able to shift up to 6th again much sooner. Unfortunately, in combination with that, (ie, when I do carry the curve in 5th) I seem to screw up on the final turn more often because I don't hit the apex of the turn correctly and end up in the grass or slapping the wall. Granted, it was one of those rare "5th" alignments that actually got me to my current time.

1.23.487 -6th in the World with a DS3 -how's that for a 50 year old?:D

Still using Bandit's tune, exept: Sports computer installed -exhaust manifold off. power limit: 97,3. LSD accel. at 35!

...-And Yes; i voted for you Bandit -you've worked for it -in all kinds of ways....
Thank you! And well done! 👍

29.888 achieved after reading this thread on second attempt. Everything stock except intake and lvl 3 weight reduction with a small power reduction. ABS1 G27. Thought about getting a better time with some more laps but then was like, nah, got other **** to do! Thanks to whoever suggested the weight reduction, you the man bro!

Down to a 1:27.504. I've got understeer mid-corner with almost 50% steering applied at Turn 1. Tuners, do I need to adjust the [LSD]acceleration and braking down or up to remedy the issue? Is it my dampers or spring rate causing the issue? Is it poor weight distribution? Just after the apex at turn one my right front goes from orange/yellow to red. Corner entry speed is about 60mph(too high)?

When I apply throttle, the car understeers and pushes further outside. With no throttle the car holds steady but still off the line and understeering.

I could post my tune tonight(there is clearly a lack of balance in this tune) or if someone can simply tell from driver inputs vs actual car behavior.

well I'm happy, I've come to make a 1 22 170, but I go with playing the piano in the last curve and went red. For now I'm happy but angry with the last curve, great turned bandit with this 1 22 2   very difficult

Today I played an hour with bandit tune, I tried to get closer to your time, happy for my 1:23:5xx with directional buttons, I missed the last corner and I saw you pass me before the finish line :banghead:, big challenge m8 👍
Thanks to Bandit:cheers:

It's always a big challenge with you mate; i just knew you were comming -great time there with pads! 👍

Looking forward to see where your blue line is at. I never use anybody elses ghost -i enjoy finding the lines by beating my own ghost.- but blue lines i find quite informative and entertaining, though i can see the problem if you have a ton of curling blue spaghetti in view...

I will be away with Work from tomorrow and 8 days on, so i've taken the Liberty of giving my friends something to Work with by topping all ongoing TT's....:P

Thanks for all the encouraging likes on my previous post!:gtpflag:

This seasonal was great! Just like the Mito.

I managed to get gold with completely stock Scirroco and zero aids but I had to get out the DFGT as I was just missing out with the DS3. Great challenge. Well done PD :)

I also do not use the blue lines but I turned on just to see you walk pass me on the straight.
Today approached yet but always bad final sector

Did anyone notice that when we install aerodynamic flat floors in the Scirocco we get 17 extra PP's, but if we install a rear wing our PP's don't increase? (I bet flat floors are mere cosmetics)

Jezzs, the man in charge of testing the car settings / physics of GT before its release was on vacation or what?

Let's recapitulate ...

- PP's not updating in real time (fixed)
- Non smooth gearbox sliders (fixed)
- Ride Heigth bug
- Camber bug
- Aero bug (relating PP's)

Way to go PD

Flat floor adds grip and increase handling stability ( cornering speed ) at the expense of higher PP and lower top speed + acceleration on higher speed. On a short track like Tsukuba or Autumn Ring Mini, might be beneficial. Not sure with this one.

Well, I can attest to it making the car slower in this event. I lost a bit over a second on laptime while I had it installed on the Scirocco. IMO, using it was a bust. I removed it after about 15 laps trying to get it to help improve my time. No chance. In fact, I had thought it'd improve my cornering but I found no such behavior, at least at Deep fForest in this car. Maybe I'm just too much of a hack, and/or there's a different setup for which it does affect a positive change, but I'm not sure what it'd be.
