Scuderia Toro Rosso STR10 launch

They could do a white style Red Bull livery like on the VW in WRC...
VW have since changed to incorporate dark blue:

Which would either look fantastic or fantastically awkward on a Formula 1 car.

Not sure how a race fan can't tell apart the gold & purple Toro Rosso from the Yellow & Blue Red Bull.

Even then, Gold is pretty reflective compared to yellow. Means nothing in the rain sure but in sunlight, its hard to ignore.

So, when McLaren use the same tired old livery, they get roasted for it, but when Toro Rosso do it, there's nothing wrong because the fans ought to be able to tell the difference on their own? How does that work?

I actually don't have a problem with McLaren's livery in testing, I only suggested there could be less red. I just don't see how hard it is to tell a car with gold trimmings (which are reflective, like McLaren's Chrome color) from a car with Yellow. I'm not saying they should have perfect 20/20 vision to spot but it seems even from a distance, it surely can't be that hard.

It works because Toro Rossos and Red Bulls rarely share the same piece of track? :D

Because the STR livery has actually had some time spent on it.

Yes, it did.

Ten years ago.
It's not comparable as Mclaren's livery is with a works engine supplier change and is the first year without a Malboro/West and Mercedes Livery inspiration since the days of the Orange Mclarens.

STR on the other hand is still sponsered by Redbull.

I have to admit, he has very good taste for numbers.

I've been using number 33 in karting since 2011.
He picked it because it's a number he has used in the past. Sainz picked 55 for a hashtag, while Nasr's reasons for #12 are unknown.
