That's the problem, I cannot for the life of me figure a way to open the track files. I can open the car files with a program called Zmodeler, but there is no program that can open the track files. :grumpy:
Maybe HACKr can do something about it... IF he is still around. :D

PM me the instructions to open GT2's 3D models in ZModeler, please. :)
 
I googled those file extentions, and discovered that .tro is anti trojan, and that .trp is a video format!
 
I know right :dopey: I wonder how we can open those things, I wonder if blender could open it? OFF TOPIC: I found a plugin for CFW'D psps that rips 3D models that are displayed. 👍

From the looks of it, a lot of these look like license test tracks, but I don't recall the layouts of them anywhere in the game, earlier tracks maybe?
 
No way, once again previously unknown secrets of GT2 are being uncovered, those tracks look very weird. Does anyone know which ones correspond to which license test?

Notice there's a gray road instead on the 2nd shot. Infact, there's quite a few parts of the track that are gray too. It's all over the place.

Oh, and it seems the Slalom license test had quite a few variations.

This one was left unused. Might've been for testing, not sure.

I also discovered Super Speedway reverse, but I haven't took a shot of this yet.

How do you do it Xenn? You're awesome!

I made up my own track modifier, which will force the hidden tracks to be loaded.

The gameshark code found on the net doesn't really work, as it won't load some tracks properly (Loads autumn ring instead).
 
Would you be able to give me the code via pm? Or would you not be willing to? Have you tried to get the courses AB and such to show up?
 
Test J1 looks like the little square that was set up on the start/finish straight of HSR for one of the tests in GT1. You know, the one in the Impreza where it was trying to teach you how to correctly use the handbrake.

Sure, I can get you the code, but i'll need to convert it to gameshark format first.

Test J1 looks like the little square that was set up on the start/finish straight of HSR for one of the tests in GT1. You know, the one in the Impreza where it was trying to teach you how to correctly use the handbrake.

That's what I thought too. Looks really similar to it.

I thought that was Grand Valley Speedway or something?
 
Quick Question: Wouldn't we, in theroy, be able to create our own drag strip? Like, unpack the GT.vol and find all the textures, and then create it / replace a different track, and burn it to a disc? PS: I found something that may be the surroundings for the drag strip (its at Laguana Seca). You have to drive upto the laptime sign, and put your dot on the L or A.

You would need to re-pack the .vol file, and as far as I know there is such thing to do so right now, but I could be wrong.
 
I think you already know how awesome you are, and I must say you really are that awesome. I think we should all thank you for your work finding this stuff. Without you here, we'd probably never know if this hidden stuff even existed.
